  1. Glad you got it sorted Stan. Regards John
  2. Stan, I've had the same issues as you with major elevation problems at KLAS. For me the issue was present before I installed NA LC and after. I had tried everything I could to solve it without success. Then I was recommended to a thread by Holger Sandmann in the ORBX FTX Compatibilty forum. The thread title is 'SCA Compatibility with FSDreamTeam KLAS and is on page No4. I followed all the steps in his instructions and it cured the elevation issues completely! So many thanks to Holger for his detailed instructions. Hope this will sort it for you also. Regards John
  3. Hi Dan, Geoff and Paul, Just to put this one to bed, I bit the bullit and did a complete P3D re-install and low and behold its now working as it should. I guess the install of ConcordeX triggered some random file corruption in the sim. I now have ConcordeX, NGX and 777 all working happily. The reinstall was not as painful as it used to be due to most of my addons being installed outside of the main P3D folders. Thankyou guys for you valued input and advice. Now to get back up in the air again! Best Regards John
  4. Thanks Paul, Your right about backing up. I do back up all my installers etc but not the complete system. The transition to W10 went surprisingly well and has not created any negative issue for me. I'm usually able to sort out things like this but this one has got me stumped. I just know its going to be something simple.... I've sent some more info to PMDG & LM but have not heard anything back yet. Hopefully they'll get me sorted soon. Thanks for your response. Regards John
  5. Hi Geoff, Great info about the restore point, didn't know there were hidden menus. I've restored the system back to a week ago but sadly it hasn't corrected the issue. I've sent some more info to PMDG and hopefully they will be able to pin it down. Thank you so much for you valued assistance. Regards John
  6. Hi Geoff, No luck using the registry fixer. Have deleted all PMDG entries from PC and ran registry cleaner. Re-installed NGX and get exactly the same problem again. I've still got a support ticket open so I have updated it with my latest findings. Hopefully PMDG can help me out. As I'm running on W10 I didn't know that it doesn't provide a restore point, so no luck with that. Many thanks for your input and advice. Regards John
  7. Hi Geoff, Paul at PMDG has sent me a registry fix tool. I ran it but still have the same problem with NGX & 777 crashing the sim at initial load. Thanks very much for you post, I have just downloaded fresh installers from PMDG and will now work through your suggestions. Love the analogy about the car - that sums it up nicely! Regards John
  8. Thanks Geoff, I have had some input from Lefteris and he advised to completely uninstall Concorde. I have tried this and the only difference it made was that I could re-install the NGX. Unfortunately still have the same problem loading both NGX & 777. I have raised a support ticket with PMDG and am awaiting a reply. I'm sure it's not caused by PMDG but I hope they can assist. Regards John
  9. Hi Dan, Yes, the Concorde is fully P3Dv3.1 compliant. If I had known this was going to happen I wouldn't have bought it. Looking on their forum I can't see any posts with others having this problem, just my bad luck I guess! It seems it is only PMDG that is affected by this. I'll take a look at the LM FAQ. I'm sure that PMDG are the innocent party in this but it may be that they are the ones who could help. Regards John
  10. Posted Today, 06:13 PM Hi, I have just installed the FSLabs Concorde v1.3 into Prepar3Dv3.1. Installation went ok and all looked good when I loaded the Concorde. However, whenever I try to load PMDG NGX or 777 the sim stops working just before the initialization phase. I get a message saying that Prepar3D has to shutdown. Before the Concorde installation I had the sim running very nicely. I then tried uninstalling the PMDG NGX and then reinstalling it. I now get a message saying 'Installation cannot continue. Your registry does not show a valid Prepar3D installation location' I can only conclude that something during the Concorde installation has messed up the registry. I would greatly appreciate some assistance in getting this corrected. I have also posted this in the FSLabs forum. Default aircraft and Aerosoft Airbus load OK, its just PMDG that has the problem. Kyle, I have tried opening a support ticket but I can't get passed the registration section - my email address is recognised but my password is not, my fault - can it be reset so that I can change the password. Thanks for any assistance John Fairman
  11. I also am having no issues with 361.43 driver. I installed it when I switched from Win7(x64) to W10 professional(x64). i am using prepar3Dv3.1 Best Regards John
  12. OK Brian, thanks Best regards John
  13. Hi Brian, I've tried resizing the window, this has partially helped. But, the text is too large and doesn't fit in the panels properly. Would you be able to give me some assistance in correcting this. It is mainly a problem with the main window in the PMDG777 and aerosoft airbus. The NGX reboot is OK. Thanks for your assistance. Best Regards John
  14. Hi Brian Thanks for your promp response, l'll give that a try over the Xmas break. Best regards John
  15. Hi, I have just upgraded my monitor to an ASUS 4K and boy what a difference it has made- for the better! As I'm now running at a higher resolution it has made the main FS2Crew window so small that it is very difficult to use. I have only tried with the PMDG777 so far. Can you advise how I can make the window larger so the the text is readable and the buttons more accessible. Many thanks & Merry Xmas to all John Fairman
  16. That great news about the button version Brian. Many thanks for doing this. Best Regards John
  17. Thanks All, I'll try cranking up the AA to see if that makes it work harder - as long as it doesn't affect VAS. Best Regards John
  18. Hi Jim, No, i think the performace is OK with my setup (now that P3Dv3 has sorted the VAS issue). It just seemed odd that the card was not being utilised more by the system. As you say, probably best not to meddle and just fly. Best Regards John
  19. Hi, I have an Nvidia GTX780 3GB graphics card fitted. I am running Prepar3Dv3 and I have seen plenty of comments stating that the graphics card usuage should reach 90% or more. Montoring my installation my card doesn't seem to go above about 35%, this is when running PMDG 777 at UK2000 Heathrow extreme with ASN, FS Captain, ProAtcX, Aivlasoft EFB and FS2Crew. This should be about as demanding a scenario as possible to load up the grahics card. I have monitored it using NV Inspector and GPU-Z. I am getting OK performance but was wondering if there is something that is holding the graphics card back? System Specs: Prepar3Dv3 Windows 7 Professional 64bit Nvidia EVGA GTX780 3gb Intel I7 4770K overclocked to 4.2ghz 16Gb Fast ram (can't remember the exact details) ORBX Global + many region packs. Lots of add on airports. Any assistance would be appreciated. I have also posted this in the hardware forum. Many thanks John Fairman

  21. Had the same problem with the new KSFO yesterday, I had programmed the approach early in the flight from KJFK using P3Dv3. The VAS was ok for most of the flight and then rose quickly and gave me an OOM warning and shut down. Will try again and will not enter the approach data until in the descent to see if I can make it to KSFO.
  22. Hi John, I've had this happen before. I was advised to delete the .ini file in FSUIPC. Re-boot and FSUIPC will create a new file. This cured the problem for me. Not at my flightsim PC at the moment so can't advise exactly where the file is in FSUIPC. I would save a copy of the file before you delete it. Hope this is of assistance. Regards John Fairman
  23. Thanks Brian, Installed the V1.7 update and all is now working. Great customer service, as always. Regards John
  24. Hi Brian, I am getting the exact same problem as Carlo. I reloaded the flight and it happened again. Reloaded the flight again but this time I skipped the "runway entry procedure" and carried on with the flight OK. Have not tried a landing yet, at this moment I am enroute from EGLL to KJFK. I am running ASN, Aivlasoft Efb, ProAtcX, MyTraffic6,REX4 Texture Direct/Soft Clouds and FSCaptain. Hope this is of assistance. Regards John
