  10. Well ... we have our second Add-on Mission for Flight Simulator X, Colorado Camping Weekend. Not only will you get to enjoy camping in the Rocky Mountains, but you will also experience some great Mountain Flying.During the 4 day mission, you will visit 5 airports, including Aspen and Leadville, which is the highest airport in the US.You will also fly over 6 mountain passes.
  11. You could also use Fraps to record individual scenes, then put them together using a video editing software. Using such software you can add voice-overs and music, then render the final video for uploading on youtube.
  12. Just want to close the loop ... and say that this mission was reviewed by Avsim: Click here for Review
  13. The .FLT file should be in the same folder as the mission. Example: The AustrianSoaring.FLT is in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Missions\Just for Fun\AustrianSoaring
  14. The .wav files are called out by the "dialog actions" in the mission's XML file, not the .FLT file. This might explain why you didn't find them. When you fly these missions, are you sure they're loading as missions, and not free flight? When you end them, are you ending a normal, free flight or does it end like a mission? If they are indeed missions, then are you seeing the text that should appear (if the designer added the text, when the .wav file is supposed to play? If so, then the only thing I can think of is that the wav files are in the wrong folder and/or the mission itself is calling the wrong wav files.Hope this helps ... if you need more details, just let me know.Kind regards,Chris
  15. Yeah, we use .bmp file types as well. Much easier to deal with for this purpose. No need to use the imagetool.
  16. To me, it seems possible to create such a mission, however the aircrafts and other add-ons would need to not only be installed in the mission designer's system, but also in each of the customers' systems. This limits the potential market considerably. Most freeware missions use the default aircraft. As a user, you can change the default aircraft to something else installed in your computer, which isn't that hard of a task, however the mission is designed around a certain aircraft so changing it to something very different wouldn't make that much sense.A mission that crosses an ocean would be a lot of work, assuming you still want it to be of high quality (i.e., not just 8 hours of nothing inbetween 20 minutes of take-off and landing). A rule of thumb, based on our experience, is that for a high-quality, seemingly real FSX mission, it takes a little over an 1 hour of work per finished minute of mission. This includes everything, like writing the script, recording the voices, designing the mission in the sim, etc. A 45-minute HQ mission takes about 50 man-hours to complete. So, a mission that lasts 6-8 hours! using payware that not everyone has! is not a market that we'll be getting into :) It would be cool though!Kind regards,Chris
  17. If you take a look at the keyboard or joystick commands, you will find the zoom features. There are the normal zoom increments and also very small zoom increments. From this menu you can map the small zoom increments to a button on your yoke (if you want to). Hope this helps!
  18. Wow ... your Duke just barely fits on the taxiway!
  19. :( Nice guess ... but our next mission will take place in Colorado! This flight (above) was just to test out some other available missions, as well as try Tile Proxy, which I'm finding quite nice.
  20. Hi Dave ... sorry about that. I didn't see your name in the signature until after I had posted my response.
  21. Hello ...I downloaded and flew Cargo transport to Lonesome Lake Hut today ... using TILE PROXY:As you can see from this last picture I managed to land in the small lake ... BUT ... in TILE PROXY I guess the lake is too small to allow water so it's now a dry lake. I shut down the engine and walked over to the people on the dock! I had to end the mission there since we were stuck on the lake-bed :)Perhaps I'll try again tomorrow without TILE PROXY ...Chris
  22. Thank you G7USL for your feedback and support! We are working on our second mission now.Kind regards,Chris

  24. Hi everyone ...I just wanted to let you know that there's a new mission uploaded to the AVSIM file library. It's called Mountain Flying in Switzerland and I think you'll really like it.Here's the direct link to the AVSIM file: Mountain Flying in SwitzerlandEnjoy,Chris
  25. Hi Alex,You need to add an AI Object (the tanker), then choose to make that object behave like an AIRPLANE (from the drop down list), then choose for the object to follow a series of waypoints. You need at least one waypoint for it to move. In your case I guess you could create two waypoints and just make it fly between those two. There are several settings that you have to set for the tanker to behave like you need it to.If you haven't done so already, I would recommend reading this, especially the part about AI OBJECTS: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc...x#mozTocId77975Hope this helps ...
