What kind of P3D license should I purchase?
Dear PMDG and pilots, I'm seriously considering purchasing P3D, but at this point I'm really unsure what kind of license should I choose. For FSX I use it as a home entertainment while I love the depth and professionalism of PMDG products. So what kind of P3D license would you suggest me purchasing? Everyday is a good day for professional flight simulation! Thank you very much! B)

737-800 Cockpit View Freezing
Hello! Have you installed the latest SP1c update? I've also got the freezing issue quite occasionally with SP1c installed. At the very beginning I would normally shut down the FS and then restart it again. Nevertheless, I've discovered later that whenever the 737NGX freezes, simple left it on for a while (mostly within 10min), everything would go normal again. I have no idea about this but at least I could continue my flight everytime since then. Hope this helps.

Stabilizers's movement discord of the visual model
Hello MD-11 captains,Has anyone noticed that the movable horizontal stabilizers of the MD-11 visual model, are in fact not moving in the same pace, so that each stabilizer is pointing to different angles, though the difference is barely noticeable.I wasn't aware of this issue since I've purchased the product, because it never caused me any problem. It was a coincidence that I've noticed this funny issue. The issue is free in neutral position (0.0 unit), but the difference is getting more distinct while the stabilizers move up to 4.0ANU, you can judge by the photos.I wish that I'm not sounded picky, I'm just wondering if there is any simple way to correct this, for instance, by changing some figures in certain files. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks a lot~!!

spotting MD11
Definitely, and apart from the length and winglets, the shape and the size of the larger horizontal stabilizers pretty much show that it is a DC-10.

Is this a sort of new performance improvement from Boeing?
Thanks for your photo!!I'm wondering if this nice feature would be added in the next service update~ :( I support PMDG MD-11!!

Is this a sort of new performance improvement from Boeing?
Hello everyone!!Having just spotted some interesting photos on Airliners.net.Are they a kind of performance improvement from Boeing? or simply a DIY from EVA Air?Please note the protruding fairings under the wings.P.S. I'm not allowed to post the link to Airliners.net in this forum, but you could simply check it out on the website. B-16108, B-16109, B-16110, and B-16111 has them, I'm sure there are more that fitted with the new fairings.

Some General Updates
This is certainly a great news for us! Thanks for your information!!But I still couldn't stop myself from asking: Can we have a final update for MD-11?? :(

62k thrust disappears on takeoff
I truely wish there will be a final update to make this excellent product finished and completed, because when most people choose PMDG products, they simply demand for incomparable qualities and ultimate support system, and I believe that these are the fundamental values of PMDG. If the obvious problem couldn't be fixed because of some sort of decision, it would be unfortunate to see such compromise on the product that is assured its realism. "No more updates" isn't an offense at all, at least when most of obvious, visible, and non-extravagant problems are fixed. No offense at all, I just love this great product, and wish it better.

We NEED an Airbus
Boeing 777-300ER or Boeing 777-200LR.............my heart is pounding~ :(

We NEED an Airbus
I personally support whatever PMDG produces. However, an A340-300 or -500 wouldn't bother me at all... :(

OM Sounds
Hello~For MD-111. Go to the radio panel of your MD-11.2. Locate a knob called "RADIO MKR", which is just above the TCAS panel.3. On the top of the knob, press the left button of your mouse to "pull up (activate)" the knob. For 7471. Go to the radio panel of your Boeing 747.2. Locate a knob with L, C, R, and MKR markings around it (the default position is L), which is in the second panel above the autobrakes panel.3. Press the right button of your mouse to turn the knob to the MKR mode.4. After that, click the APP button which is just beside the knob, to illuminate a small light. The OM & IM sounds should work properly after that.

Cruising angle of MD-11
The most appropriate idea I've ever heard, but for the safety reason, I suggest that the autobrake system should be fitted and armed prior to the departure for galley.

What a beautiful sight!
Thank you~So far I'm definitely not lucky enough to spot a Meteor...

Cruising angle of MD-11
This is the concrete answer that I was looking for. The series of tri-jet is just so special that you couldn't miss its unique characteristics, and they are very interesting indeed!!

Cruising angle of MD-11
Hello!!I've noticed that the cruising angle of MD-11 is usually around 2.6~2.8 degrees while flying at the FMS suggested optimal cruising altitude, with ECON cruising speed about Mach .825. Of course, if flying at faster cruising speed(Mach .84), the AOA reduced to about 2.5 degrees.I remember the cruising angle of Boeing 747 is usually around 2.5 degrees or even less while flying at optimal altitude and speed.Wouldn't the extra AOA generates more drag on MD-11 while reducing customer comfort? Or is it that because the COG of MD-11 tends toward the rear of the aircraft, it caused steeper AOA?

What a beautiful sight!
Hehe...this might be the sim limitation, to make aurora rather unusual~ :( I'm curious to see how it had been improved in FSX~
-
What a beautiful sight!
Hello PMDG developers and captains!Nothing special here...Nevertheless, I just want to share the most beautiful sight I've ever seen in the FS9 with you......aurora!! I was doing a long-haul cargo flight from RCTP(Taiwan) to PANC, during the last three hours of the total eight-hour flight, I saw this most bizarre but amazing sight (it moved like a piece of swaying silk) in my flight simulator for the first time!!I wonder if I could ever see the real one in my life~ :( Tom

MD11 - Flight controls are not smooth
I have the same problem. But once I turned the LSAS off, the problem disappeared, so I strongly believe that the problem is caused by the LSAS.Fortunately, the flight characteristics are not affected.Tom

The aircraft loosing altitude when turning
Thanks for your prompt reply!I'm actually not so worry about the drop of so small amount of altitude which commended by autopilot. Nevertheless, what really interests me is that the real aircraft seems capable of maintaining perfect altitude when turning, of course I mean in perfect weather condition. I've watched several cockpit DVDs, and those big jets do maintain their altitude precisely during a steep turn. I have a friend who is a FO of the Embraer ERJ 190, has also confirmed that his jet does maintain its altitude flawlessly no matter how it turns, in good weather condition.I therefore wondering why my jet always drops at least 20ft during a turn, but during cruising phase, it turns perfectly with drop of no altitude.

The aircraft loosing altitude when turning
Hello everybody~I have a very small question that constantly ignored by me, but now I can't hold anymore to know the answer. No matter it is a PMDG747 or PMDGMD-11, FS9 or FSX, when the aircraft makes a turn by autopilot, especially at low speed, the altitude tends to drop a little (20~60feet), of course when the turn is completed, the autopilot climbs back to the designated altitude. It looks like the autopilot isn't fast enough to maintain certain altitude or certain vertical speed. I've been searching the forum for clues, but without proper answer. I'm not sure whether it's a FS limitation or not, but I really want to know the answer.Thank you very much!! I enjoy every flight as long as it is flown by a PMDG jet.Tom
