  2. Not to diss MegaScenery, but they are more concerned with Quantity over Quality. There are various clouds (stains) in the MegaScenery Earth Florida Scenery, and, at least I have found, it is not possible to get High Quality/ Resolution Scenery in a file size of 13GB for 3/4 of the state. For us, each area includes high resolution images, and I have found, to make good quality photoreal scenery, it takes at least 1GB and over per area (for a small area; 4-6 GB for a big area). Hope that answers your question. Thanks!Andrew BlanFlight Sim Designswww.flightsimdesigns.com

  5. It has to do with the way FSX models weather. Other weather radars just display where the rain is and how dense the rainfall is, which is not an actual representation of what a real world weather radar will do. Because PMDG strives for both quality and realism, and there is no possible way to accurately model a weather radar, PMDG has chosen not to create one. Maybe someone who has more information can explain it in better detail. Hope that helps! Andrew Blan

  9. Hello All, I just wanted to let everyone know that once the purchase is complete, which took 20 min, the download is surprisingly fast. My Fios connection gave me around 1.8 MegaBYTES per second, which means 4-8 minutes to download (it fluctuates). I can't wait to fly this baby!! Andrew Blan
  10. Is there a direct link to that page? It hasn't worked for me all day. Andrew Blan
  11. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that is because you have set "Thermal Visualization" to "On." in Settings->Weather. I had that problem and I think that solved it. Let me know if there is a different solution. Andrew EDIT= darem beat me to it!!! :-)
  12. I know this isn't Zulu, but the webcast starts at 10am PST, or 1pm EST. ;-)Hope this helps,Matt
  13. I am not trying to spam anyone. I posted it here and fly tampa, because these are active forums. I wanted to know everyones opinion on if I should use my time making a freeware bwi. Ryan, can you please move this to the general forum, as I dont know how. Thank you. Does anyone have something to say on the topic?

  19. In the PMDG 747, The GPWS goes off as it is supposed to (when I am doing a circuit), and after i perform the touch and go, the second time around on the approach, they do not sound... any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!!~Matthew Cartin
  20. I apologize sincerely if this issue has arisen before, but I can't seem to find a solution. The aircraft I am referring to is the PMDG 747-400X. I have flown the aircraft multiple times, and all works flawlessly except the flaps and spoilers. The flaps and spoilers are set, (while on the ground or in the air, both) and when i look into the external view of the aircraft, the vertical columns that support the flaps are down, but they don't take the actual flap sheets down. Also, the spoilers... I look in my throttle pedestal, and they are fully deployed, but in the external view, they do not appear to be up at all. This happens while on the ground not moving, and in the air, I have tested both ways. Seems to be a graphics problem, because the flaps and spoilers appear to have the appropriate effect on the flying capability of the aircraft, just not the visual... Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!!~Matt Cartin
  21. Yes, you should buy the gold edition and now you do not need to install sp1 and sp2.
  22. No, only because I usually don't set that.. I only program a route, and I usually do the altitude and speed by the autopilot knobs. I did activate and execute though, right after Iprogrammed in the route. Thanks. ~Matthew Cartin
  23. Ok, here are the screenies again... this time I had the LEGS page on my FMC opened up.... All looks fine to me, let me know what you think. Thanks!~Matthew Cartin
