  1. It defiantly doesn't work as effective in FSX since the rudder is to sensitive I use about 1/2 authority or less, whatever straightens the nose out. I thought we were talking about real 777 landings here, and that's why you posted real world 777 videos. If we were talking about fsx this would have been over a long time ago
  2. The first ANA one you can see him start to decrab in the flare. That second video there isn't that much of a crosswind, he made a very nice landing. The El Al one landed in a crab and slide back to the right side of the centerline. It' better airmanship to decrab right before touchdown. Let's try this approach. Why is it better to land in a crab?
  3. I'm not talking about the approach I'm talking about the gear meeting the ground here. I prefer to crab the approach then side-slip my self.
  4. No point in simming if your not going to practice proper procedures. Any real world pilots of the 777 or any other aircraft will tell you that it is bad airmanship to land in a crab.
  5. You can't make that claim until you quote the manual instead if interpreting it for us. Until you quote it there is no evidence. Boeing deigned the 777 to cope with a lot of stress. That doesn't mean you should abuse it though. I couldn't understand why Boeing would not recommend a crab and slip as opposed to landing in a slip, the plane may be able to take it, but the side load will be immense depending upon the winds.
  6. Your supposed to land center line though your not supposed to land to the right. Clearly the wind is incredibly strong in the video.
  7. He didn't land in a crab though, he kicked the rudder right before he touched down, that was a textbook x-wind landing. If you land in a crab you'll get the effect the first guy had and slide all over the runway.
  8. You really should kick the rudder right before you touch down, or else you'll put a huge side load on the gear.
  9. You don't need the FMC to continue an approach if your in VMC look outside and fly it visually. If your in IMC fly the needles. There is really no reason to Go-Around if your FMC "messes up", if you do you are way to dependent on it.
  10. Your FMC "messing up" is not an valid reason to stop flying a approach. I've heard that way to many time on VATSIM. Fly the plane, first and foremost everything else is secondary. If people also READ the manual they might actually know how to fly the aircraft. There are people after two years who still have no clue how to fly the NGX, but think they do. Please do us a favor get of VATSIM go read the manual then come back when you have a clue.
  11. If PMDG had a dollar for every time this was posted they would have $165,000,000
  12. I assume you can see that says PLEASE REPLY TO THIS THREAD
  13. Thanks for showing us an example on the 737 that makes alot of sense....
  14. Never heard of wind reported at 007 before....
  15. :excl: :excl: :excl: :excl: Apparently that doesn't mean anything.
  16. No need to start the topic then. Especially with something like this in there "They BETTER have these important ones..."
  17. Obviously not or they would put it in the base pack.
  18. PMDG has been known to do BA repaints due to a few testers at BAV. So that is the only one you will see. This forum does have a SEARCH function.
  19. You know that's a 300ER...... Air New Zealand doesn't even fly the 200LR.
  20. Of course I do..... I think he must have been a spy for Russia then... Back to 777 news....
  21. They kept Snowden they needed to make the Us happy with something lol
  22. Russia also uses meters those are the only two countries that do.
  23. China uses meters hence he has meters displayed. Cruising at 10400m
