Thats total system consumption. Max TDP on a 580 is around 300watt. 750 watt is more than sufficiant but damm get a decent power supply (corsair/Enermax ect). other than that looks good.AMD vs intel lol no compotition at the moment the sandy bridge chips are a gimme right now. my 2700k is clocked to 4.7 under water and i get 30fps in high action areas- kmdw approach ect so you will be good.I have workmates with the 2500k and they are hitting 4.5ghz no problem on air coolingregardsChris stanley

As crazy as this solution is i too have seen a significant boost in fps loading the 747-400x first

You can't enter it as the airport does not exist. therefore the nav data included with the NGX does not contain info for the airport. I once tried to manually add this to my other aircraft but got lost and confused how to do it.I now just navigate to to a fix close by ( or even use new hong kong as its very close by ) then use the charts to approach and land.regardsChris stanley

Just ignore the negative comments PMDG you guys have done good- very good.i have only left my flight deck for sleep and other essentials since release hour. short hops to longer european routes i' m flying this baby anywere i can. performance is excellent some addon airports are a little tougher to get a smooth approach which is to be expected. I will gladly pay extra for the expansions as i have a benchmark now of what to expect. And please people don't disrespect the obvious hard work and obsesivenes shown by th whole team making this addon it is obvious to see the dedication and hrad work gone into this- compared to other addons for example the company named above this is light years ahead in terms of quality and functionality.Truely outstanding job PMDG continue in this direction and you will always have my support, and credit card at the ready ReagrdsChris stanley

This has happened to me once today EGBB--->LOWW as i programmed in my arrival the whole panel froze the sim was still running but i could not control anything.I have since done a couple more flights with no problems though

I completely agree i'm totally amazed by this bird a true joy to fly, and thousands of miles ahead of anything i have seen before. Huge congratulations to the PMDG team- a little rocky on release hour (that was completly crazy) and at 2:30 this morning in the Uk feeling very tired and excited the first flight and the product as a whole was well worth it. Hi Guys ok i have found a way to get this to work on the 800wl version.Navigate to your ngx 800wl file. There you should see all the texture files and cfg ect. delete all the livery files except the pmdg default. You should see a CFG file and a cfg.old.Delete the new cfg.Then rename the cfg .old (ie remove the .old extension) then in the properties of this file remove the read only flag. Now launch the livery manager as admin and attempt a reinstall of the liverys. This worked for me i have all the wl liverys working. hope it does for you guys Also redownload the 900 liverys i beleive there were changes made. RegardsChris stanley

Very impressed so far the fps is a good 28-35 on the ground but the mouse cursor hit is a good 10-12

Hi guys i am also having problems with the liverys, they appear to install correctly but when i try to select the aircraft i get th emodel failed to load error. this is accross both the 800 and 900 and winglet. some work fine others just will not loadRegardsChris Stanley

I have a similar problem but it appears to be an issue with some liverys, i get the error failed to load model on both 800 and 900 varients but only on certain liverys. KLM is a problem for me on both models.Also i cannot reinstall as the manager says its already there

Guys check out the livery thread update from yesterday- this seems to suggest the release is still planned for today, as the post mentions these liverys were completed on the "eve" of release. http://forum.avsim.n...y-availability/ the last section also says Pete is working on more during the day tomorrow but they may not be ready for release so maybe during the day tommorow is probable..............

Yeah the pmdg server bandwidth will be intresting to see. Their bank statement at the end of day one will also be very good reading (i'm guessing) :)

Lol at the checklist :0 i have the pmdg site on one of my monitors permananly mashhing f5. Just wondering will pmdg realease to everyone at the same time or will time zone differences come into play.The reason i ask is i have taken a few days of work for this realease and if it is indeed a midnight release in the Uk- well its going to be a long night :)
