Issues with KLAX FSDreamTeam Scenery...
Yeah I just tried to re-arrange the priorities of the sceneries and the effects worked at KLAX but it looked weird because it was using the default FSX Runway with no numbers. As soon I restarted FSX: SE and it adjusted the scenery automatically, all throughout the airport there are no effects for rain whatsoever. It's kind of sad I spent on it to fly mostly from there. I guess I will see if there are any other airports I use that don't work. I really love KLAX but no effects except the landing smoke that still works though. (T__T)

Issues with KLAX FSDreamTeam Scenery...
Yeah I can confirm uninstalling all effects does nothing to make the effects come up on KLAX overall using the FSD version. I tried the airport next to it and can confirm I do have effects running. What is weird though is that when you land the effects show up but nothing on the water spray type thing. I did find a excerpt in the manual stating this: Design Notes This scenery has been made using brand new design methods in FSX. The challenge was to create such large airport, without compromising quality and texture sharpness on ground. Because of this, new design methods, based on native FSX Shaders had to be implemented, and our .DLL module Addon Manager, is helping to bypass some limitations of the FSX SDK, that will not normally allow to use native FSX shaders and fully custom ground textures, without visual artifacts. In order to enjoy the scenery at its fullest, we suggest the following: • Keep the “Mesh Resolution” slider at 5m/pixel, and the “Mesh Complexity” slider at 100. With less resolution, some visual problems might appear. • If you have an ATI video card, don’t use the “Adaptive Antialiasing” feature, because it will cause visual problems on the ground. • Due to the technique used, there might be some areas of the scenery that don’t show the user airplane shadow correctly, this is normal, and it only happen in a few places. • Late in the afternoon, or early down, the Shader effects on the ground are more visible, since the sunlight comes from an angle that makes the Bump mapping and Specular mapping used on the concrete more apparent. • On your Video Card control panel, set the “Anisotropic Filter” to 8x or 16x, don’t use the default “Application Controlled” setting • IMPORTANT - On the Addon Manager menu, be sure you have the “Force HD Textures” option ENABLED! This is very important in order to enjoy the scenery at its full quality, since it enables the usage of 4096x4096 texture resolution, which is how most of the textures in the scenery were designed for. This is what it states, not sure if it is what you mean but I can confirm no effects being shown at KLAX whether installed or uninstalled. I thought it may have been an issue caused by Megascenery but KHHR shows effects and is within the SoCal scenery as well I have not tried to install the effects and run on KHHR but there are effects when unistalled though. Hope this information helps.

Issues with KLAX FSDreamTeam Scenery...
I recently bought and installed PrecipitFX not too long ago. I ran into an issue which seems to not recognize its on a runway for some reason. Whenever I throttle up to try and call the effects in a weather storm, I have no effects! When I go to TNCM though or even to the KLAS Airport from FSDreamteam, I do see the effects. Its weird, its only at KLAX for some reason. Could there be an issue with KLAX? I am also using Socal Scenery by Megascenery, is there something I can do to actually make the effects run on that particular airport?

I see how awesome the effects are for the 777 but my favorite plane is the 737. I know this is for support inquiries, but where else am i going to post for an answer on this topic. I know I can't be the only one wanting this effect for the 737NGX. I am genuinely interested in the product as well as your Precipitation FX, but would much rather have a 737 immersion version to buy right now. Please let me know if this is at all being considered or even a possibility to happen with the NGX. Thank you in advance, Raul

PTT program for skype or any other program!
If anyone is interested in hearing that transmit sound when calling out to ATC on FSX. I found a great program. The developer has not added support for joystick buttons but works good in Vista. http://www.pushtotalk.nu/2011/02/ptt-for-windows-7-skype-msn.html I think its quite interesting because you can hear that tone or even customize it to your liking for skype or any other voice program. Enjoy!

This might be interesting and informational
I stumbled on a website that looks to be training software for real-world pilots. There is an app that explains every switch and panel interactively...if they had this for android I would not mind purchasing this even though I'm nowhere near for anything the like for a checkride ( I fly the 172 in real life) on the 737NG. Anywho...This is the link http://www.aerosim.com/products/checkride/b737 I was hoping to find a program that simulates the FMC to know how to use it properly away from the sim. I guess i have to keep searching.

Does Saitek's switch panel work with NGX?
I've been using the radio panel and works fine. I can switch frequencies and such with no issues. Transponder should also work but i really never fly online to test it but im sure it works.The switch panel I only use for the landing gear indicator and switch. The light switches saitek provides are only useful for GA aircraft, I use the VC because every light is controlled differently. I hope this answers your questions.

I'm planning to go once I know how to fly the NGX good enough. Either way this should be good info as I thought there was no simulators in the US that would actually be open to the public AND close by. If you of any others in California, let me know. I can try to find for Chicago if that's where you are at.

Thank you very much everyone for your help I will try all the suggestions given. After confirming this I will see what to do. And found out this model also has backlight and manual trim for like the same cost of the Jetmax 737TQ...I'm still investigating on this as this is what iv'e always wanted to get since the launch of the NGX. What do you think...or should I just start a new thread?

Cannot go full throttle on saitek quadrant/s
Hey Jake,Strangely I just flew the Carenado Cessna 172 trying out Accu-Feel and was able to full throttle fine! I also own the TPM, I tried full power and full idle. Its just like on the cessna on idle, its about 200-300 RPM less than the suggested 1000RPM for idle. So I had no issues with idle whatsoever. I revved full power and was at 2300-2400RPM full throttle pressed the F4 to make sure...no change. However when I start the NGX I have a difference in throttle visually (throttle on pedestal) and with the percentage of power. I see throttle twitching and when I hold F4, it goes full range but only stays if I hold the button...is this a limitation on the NGX animation and control? I confirmed this just now with my TPM and throttle quadrants.

Oh yeah I also do not use FSUIPC...I have not purchased it yet since I see no point to it right now. Or could this be what can fix that little issue? Because I can recall a time where I fixed it on the cessna. Maybe its fixed on the cessna but not on the NGX...I will confirm this later on. I do realize that the engine will have less life and get damaged if left at full for an extended period of time. However, that is beside the point. I specified only takeoff, I didn't mention cruise or any other phase in flight. I was taking off KLAX which has no significant effect over engine performance elevation wise. Hence, why I mention the F4 key being pressed and why I see a significant amount of difference when I depress it. It happens on the NGX and most noticeably on the Carenado cessna 172 or 152 which if not at full thrust you will take off very late. Or I am the only one with this problem? Idle controls are fine and I can fully reverse thrust all day long and it never fails. Full throttle is the problem, sensitivity is at high 127 and null 1. I will post a screenshot of what I mean later today.

Cannot go full throttle on saitek quadrant/s
I seem to having trouble actually red-lining the 737 engines on takeoff. I notice my thrust indication both on engine 1 and 2 are around 102.XX whenever I try to go full throttle. However, when I hold the F4 button, I get to 104+ and I start to redline the engine. Its odd, but I can see a twitch in the controls when I go just a bit farther back on the throttles. Windows shows the controls are normal and operating correctly, no twitches whatsoever. Does anyone know what setting I should look for to fix this issue? Has anyone experienced this same issue or is it one of those "FSX bugs" that cannot be fixed? Of course this issue happens with the NGX. Thanks for any suggestions/help.

No Engine Sounds
Reason I asked was because I was sure something was going to be modified from the sound.cfg. Sure enough the sound.cfg was changed to the PMDG version change. However, I had added custom sounds to the engines, and the installer changed the custom sounds cfg file instead of the original PMDG engine sound.cfg. Your problem may be related to my situation. I will report back once I fix this on my end to verify my thoughts. In addition, I did install Direct X again before I thought of this, so this may have fixed the issue but I highly doubt it. Anyways, hope this helps.

PMDG737 NGX and Start Center
Yes, PDF is a must. i cannot follow voice prompts as I only have one monitor and no printer. There is no way for me to view the manual and click things unless I bring my 17" laptop somewhere in this already crowded space I have. Thank you, I will also await for the hot fix.

Think I have found what is causing annoying morse beeping
Yeah I've now started to have those issues as well. But since I never really get on the sim that much anymore, this might come in handy to figure out if and when it happens again, thanks! Also anyone using the saitek radio panel?. I've noticed a small issue where the radios show 0.00 when switching from com1 to com2 for example. Anyone noticed this?

NAV Radios Morse Identifier
I had the same issue when tuning to an ILS frequency, you will notice the small lighted dials lower center console on the left side of the panel you will find lighted dials that have VHF on the description (not exactly sure of name though), click the 1st one if your tuning to radio 1 if not, push the radio 2 lighted dial. The ILS continues to work and the Morse Code Identifier will stop beeping. Took a while to find it for me though. Hope this helps, if not I will post a screenie tomorrow (Going to bed).

oh bouncing! Yeah i think its a scenery issue though. If you purchased KLAX from FsDreamteam it happens there too! On my way taxiing back to Gate 11 from 24L after landing you'll see what i mean when you go Echo crossing Romeo to Delta, I just don't let it bother me. I usually turn off crashes for that reason because at the gate i might "crash" and it just loops like that. I've experienced it in other aircraft as well. I doubt its the NGX. But i could be wrong. Well hopefully someone might ring in about it. I also nothing wrong with the compass rose though what issues are you having too much glare?

I see. I was also looking at the poster of the 737 i have from Boeing, and noticed the same thing after my posting. Now I'm sure my eyes aren't playing tricks on me because the poster is kinda blurry. Thanks for the info! Chris are you having issues at a particular airport or add-on scenery? Or even any particular model? I will check for wheel contacts on the ground in two airports with the -700 series and will report back along with the compass rose issue.

I will test for the issues you are having and check to see if its doing that on mine. Is it any airport in particular? I will also check for the HUD compass as well. I would also like to point out a few faults I see in the plane. I have just clean installed again to make sure this was not an install issue. Does anyone have these problems showing on ANY of the -600 through the -900 aircraft? I noticed it was not on one particular plane though, but on all.First a graphical issue present on in the model anyone seen this?Problems with the distance knob, the knob shows 40 when i show 20 on the screenThis one shows a problem with panel 1 showing a gauge issue. Is this another issue or is just mine?And last the ANA airways i was using during my flight, after re-installing the NGX it happens to all but...just in case.

Successful emergency landing...somehow...
Well i brought the gear down, because i had seen i was high enough to bleed off speed and was going a steady 1200ft/min descent toward land. Yeah it would be useless over water but i was close enough to glide to that airport using manual trim wheel as my Saitek Yoke was somehow programmed for electric trim rather than manual trim so i used my mouse wheel to move it and bring her steadily down. Yes, I had considered quitting it and starting over, but what better way to see if you could land the plane without a good challenge? The 737-700 handles like a dream when hand flying, so i can say i never really had to practice landings on this plane. The plane took off as I had full throttle on the controls and crash settings off (some airports NEED to have it enable or you can expect to restart your plane everytime you spawn at that airport). I also had never seen what happens when the plane runs out of fuel, and in a complex plane like this, i can expect a cascade of events unfolding as one thing fails followed by another. This has taught me just a little bit more on what to expect in a failure, had I not taken this flight then I would still be wondering why would fuel be of importance not just for engine function but for other systems as well, APU for example. Yes your correct. I had no way of trimming the plane electrically. I guess the trim is set for electric trim for the plane. Anyways, I used my mouse wheel to slowly and carefully adjust elevator pitch as I said I had pulled completely on my yoke in every which way i can think of to get a better response than a 10 degree bank, but a no go. I will look up manual reversion as i came across it looking for a procedure for failure of both engines. Do you know when the landing gear should be dropped in an emergency with a discharging battery? Is there even a way to manually drop the gear if there is no electrical system? I mean i want to learn this plane very well but failures are what keeps me wanting to find out what to do to fix them. Until AOA pumps out with more videos...this is the only way to learn right now...hands on.
