[29JUN16] PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies II - Tech Testing Commences
I still envision Prepar3D to includ a realistic dazzling-effect, like in DCS World 2 - have a look here (froogle): Developers like PMDG could then include the adjustable sun blinds to reduce the effect... This would add such a great amount of realism for approaches performed in the early hours or the evening (e.g. RWY 28 at SFO) Not really related to the actual topic, but just my hopes for the future

GMCS in P3D v3.2 limitation?
There's a screenshot I took earlier... I noticed that fog (visibility) and even the flashes of the thunderstorm are shown, but no clouds! Anybody seeing the same thing?

GMCS in P3D v3.2 limitation?
Hi there, I just bought the 777-300ER Extension package (again  ). One thing I love is of course is the Taxi-Camera, or GMCS, and thank you very much for making it not just a 2D popup, but implemented into the VC (I guess through some cooperation with LM!?) Anyway... is it a limitation to P3D, that in the bottom two pictures (central landing gear) no weather is being rendered? Or is it a method of yours to reduce the impact on performance? I noticed it on all my testflights so far and was just curious, not that it really bothers me... Sorry that I got no screenshot ready, but I guess you get my point! Cheers! Carl

P3D PMDG Shadow issues
I had the same "problem" when I first loaded up the 777 into Prepar3D in a dawn/dusk situation with the sun coming from the back. As I understand this "limitiation of the VC model", P3D only simulates the shadows of the model that is loaded right at this moment, which would be either the external, or the internal (VC), not both. (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) When you move "outside" of the VC (like through the windows if you understand what I mean) by using EZDOK or just the key-commands from P3D you will see what is model and only this will cast shadows! The only two ways I see this problem to be solved would either be PMDG adding the whole external model to the VC, which would probably be a hard hit on the framerates, or the guys behind Prepar3D find a workaround in the code of the simulator itself to combine both models for the shadows to display correctly! Hope this helped you..

FSX crashes in Auto Time Compression Mode
In my case the reason is that I have an EZDOK camera spot looking down just onto the FMC and lower EICAS

FSX crashes in Auto Time Compression Mode
Hey guys, Normally I can fly the 777 without any crashes, except for the following: I'm in the middle of a longer flight (today it was KIAD-KSFO), using the Auto Time Compression feature (enabled all the time) and start to plan my approach. In order to do that I pull up the NAV page on the lower EICAS and want to look at certain waypoints around my destination, so I go to the EFIS panel and turn this knob (normally on NAV) to PLAN. This is the moment when FSX crashes. It happened to me twice now, doing exactly the same. I don't know wether it really helps but I looked up for the crash report (Win 7): Sry it's in German... Circling into 05 @ Madeira | VIDEO
Thanks for the replies! About the graphics, I used an old trick to get most out of FSX for video recording: - record the scene with FSRecorder - replay it, but with 1/2 or 1/3 of the normal speed (by doing this you can easily turn up your settings to the maximum, regardless of your system, but fps > 10!) - capture your display with Fraps - speed it up 3x using any video editing program you like The ocean textures are part of REX.

AES intelliscene.cfg for all 777LR-pilots & thx to PMDG
After flying this incredibly beautiful and perfectly developed bird a few days now, this is the least I can do to show my gratefulness to the best addon-company of the whole fsim-world! This is the config-file for Aerosoft's AES (Airport Enhancement Services) for the PMDG 777 LR (only!) The doors no. 1, 2 & 4 on each side are in use and everything is as perfectly aligned as I could, hope you like it! Just place the downloaded file inside the T7-folder located here: {Flight Simulator X}\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 777-200LR. >> DOWNLOAD << (dropbox) ... the forum still seems to be a little buggy, sry for the double-post!

> The silence befor the storm ... <
thanks for speaking straight out of my mind Brent- I know what your point is and I wasn't going to start such a discussion. Btw, I do fly the NGX pretty much every day with always different conditions and surroundings, but the more I enjoy her mastering all these situation, the more I'm looking forward to trying all of them in the 777-my favorite-with the same or even better quality. It's just a normal thing in the modern human life that you always want something new. You can't doubt that ...
