Hi, I'm kind new to the 787 and I have some questions regarding the weight and balance configuration. I usually import my data from simbrief, but I noticed that only changes the info in the FMC, not the actual payload. So I look at the numbers in simbrief and I set them in the weight and balance tab. Even If I have the tanks full or the weights exactly like I should, I always get an insufficient fuel message. Any idea what I should do, or any tutorial that can help?

Hi, I really want to fly the 787 in msfs and the airports and other planes in premium deluxe are cool too. So to end this debate, is the premium deluxe worth it? ps: I already have the standard so I would be upgrading

FSX-MS QW 787 FSX Feedback/First Impressions Only Thread
Skywolf posted a topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Hey everyone, I would like to create a thread for only QW 787 FSX First Impressions and Feedback. Please try to keep discussion within these parameters. I know lot of simmers are excited about this release. Lot of threads go into FSX vs P3D etc. and I humbly request we all do NOT go there. Bug reporting should be minimum, as they have official forum support on QW site and those conversations should go there. Excited to read your feedback about this addon.- 36 replies

Does anyone have a working download link for the United Traffic Team 787 base files? I have tried the link at XXXXXXXXXXXXXX but the link seems to be dead and I cannot find an alternative link through google. Thanks

Hi, I recently purchased the Qualitywings 787 for P3DV4, and I am more or less enjoying it so far. One of the things I am seeing is when I engage the autopilot and turn a random heading, and FLCH to 10,000 ft, it puts severe inputs into the control column, causing the nose to violently push up and down. It never reaches the altitude. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi all, I am trying to make a custom AI package which needs the GWAI Boeing 787. I have tried searching for it for days before asking here, and so this is my last resort. Can anyone give me a clue as to where I might be able to pick it up? I have tried all the links provided on various forums to no avail. <_< Please help if you can. Many thanks in advance!

I would really like to see a pmdg 787 since every other 787 in the market is really far from realistic and I know that pmdg would do an amazing job on the 787.

hope to see this done by PMDG somewhen in the future

Hi guys, have you ever wondered, why Boeing started the Variant Names of the Dreamliner with -8 or .-9? (-3 was cancelled)In history, they usually started with -1xx or -2xx, not with -8xx and so on:707-100717-100727-100737-100,.....747-100757-100 was planned, but only the -200 ever built, so they started with -200767-200 started also with -2 not with -8 or so777-200 started also with -2 not with -8 or so so why is the Dreamliner starting with -8? what if they produce newer Models of the plane in 20 years? do they put MAX behind like with the NG follower? Seems strange to me and no pattern for this in my sight.Any thoughts of that?

Does anyone know of any good 787s for FSX, payware or freeware? I'd like good model quality and a good VC. I've tried some of the freeware ones but the quality ain't great.

On Dec 8th, the B-787 few around the World with only one refueling stop, setting a distance record of 10,337 nm (KSEA - Dhaka, Bangladesh) and a 20% savings in fuel burn over any other aircraft in the same class with the same weight, thus validating investment in CFRP design.Read article, view video.Cheers,- jahman.

Hi there, Sorry if this is old news. This evening, I followed the Norwegian carrier B788 NLH82P flight from Oslo to Stockholm. I am quite sure this was an empty plane transfer flight. One of the reasons for this assumption is the speed. During a 2431 fpm climb, it reached 596 knots / 1103 km/h at 30.849 ft. I am aware of the (un)accuracy of my Flightradar24-app, but this was stable. Even at 28.000 ft, it reached 594 knots / 1100 km/h. In my book, 596@30.849 equals Mach 1,013. Also 594@2800 equals Mach 0,999 Something tells me this is not normal procedure, and must cause a certain stress on the airframe? Heavy tailwind? Flight here: http://www.flightradar24.com/2013-09-23/16:53/12x/NLH82P Regards, Andy

Hey Guys! I have a small problem with my Aerosim Boeing 787! I Fly a flight plan just fine, and then select all the correct ILS frequencies and the CRS for the autoland. The Airport Always has CAT III autoland capabilities. The plane approaches just fine, and I set all the flaps and the speed correctly, But at the end of the Approach, When Minimums is called out, The System Hangs up suddenly and then when it starts working again, The plane stalls and crashes. It tries to climb steeply. This does not happen with any other aircraft ( Tried PMDG 737 and Airbus X). Is there any solution for this?

Hi there, How do I flare the TDS 787 on landing? Something is not right. Almost as soon as my back wheels touch the ground, the nose wheel slams straight down, making it almost impossible to make a smooth landing. Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

My first long haul in the 787 and I have to say it was great! Though it isn't quite the level PMDG aircraft are at it is still a wonderful plane. The flight left LA at around 11 pm so I didn't get any good screenshots on the departure. 😞 #1 787 aal lax-ssy Cockpit (Logo On) by Scolar_45, on Flickr #2 787 cockpit (Logo On) by Scolar_45, on Flickr #3 787 aal lax-ssy Outside(Logo On) by Scolar_45, on Flickr #4 787 aal lax-ssy Tail (Logo On) by Scolar_45, on Flickr #5 787 aal lax-ssy Wing #1 (Logo On) by Scolar_45, on Flickr #6 787 aal lax-ssy Wing #2 (Logo On) by Scolar_45, on Flickr #7 787 (Logo On) by Scolar_45, on Flickr 787 aal lax-ssy Ground #1 (Logo On) by Scolar_45, on Flickr 787 aal lax-ssy Ground #2 (Logo On) by Scolar_45, on Flickr 787 aal lax-ssy Ground #4 (Logo On) by Scolar_45, on Flickr Here is the link to the album: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmmmGtA6 ~Scolar~

Some Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 powered 787s will have their ETOPS capability downgraded from tomorrow. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) are set to publish an Advisory Directive slashing the maximum time radius affected aircraft are permitted to fly from a diversion airfield from 330 minutes to just 140 minutes. The directive follows a series of failures and in-flight shutdowns on the Trent 1000 C powerplant, which engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce says are due to premature wear in the intermediate stage compressor and turbine blades and seals. The 787 became only the second airliner type, after the Boeing 777, to receive the full 330 minute ETOPS rating in 2014. However, even that followed an earlier setback when problems with the all-electric jet's lithium-ion batteries led the FAA to limit its rating to 180 minutes in 2013. ETOPS certification permits twin-engined aircraft to operate further than 60 minutes flying time from any suitable diversion airfield, essential for opening up long-haul routes over sparsely populated areas. As an aircraft built around the premise of operating low-density long-haul routes, many airlines operating the affected 787-9s face the prospect of severe flight planning restrictions until the problems are resolved. The 330 minute rating opens up almost the entire globe to twin-engined aircraft, with only a few 'no-go' areas in the most remote parts of Antarctica. 330 minute ETOPS. The dark area over Antarctica represents the only remaining 'no-go' area Limiting the B787 to 140 minute ETOPS, however, rules out flights from the USA to Hawaii and across some areas of the Pacific, as well as the central and south Atlantic and southern Indian oceans. With a 140 minute ETOPS rating, the number of 'no-go' areas are vastly increased Whilst the majority of US-based 787-9 operators use the General Electric GEnx engine, which is unaffected by the changes, Japan's ANA operate 28 Trent 1000 powered 787-9s and British Airways operate the type on its ultra-long haul route to Santiago amongst others. Boeing estimate that up to a quarter of the global 787 fleet could be affected. The FAA directive follows an EASA Airworthiness Directive calling for more frequent inspections of Trent 1000 C engines, just days after Rolls-Royce themselves advised operators the affected engines would need to be inspected monthly.

Hey guys, as you may know, the 767-300ER has gone into retirement but got something to sit in place and take their position which is the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner which AmeriCay have Inquired 2 for the time being, not sure if more will be in but here are my shots on the first Inaugural flight to Paris my favourite route if I do say so myself. On Climb out from Miami Airspace. Some weather below but smooth ride on the climb. Gotta love Active Sky In Bermuda Airspace in the Dusk Setting. Pretty Flight Deck eh? Sky Interior Lights in action Descending into France Airspace at Dawn time. Lots of clouds, had to check in the metar, metat did say it was clear and calm The countryside can be seen below. Speed was a bit high so had to depend on speed brakes to slow me a bit down. On final. No backtracking shots since had traffic on Approach for the same runway and went through the After-Landing Checklist. Here we are at Terminal C (C8) Ground Crew offloading Luggage Containers. Them RR's look really intimidating.
