  1. Hi guys, I know this topic has been discussed before but I can't quite find the answer I am looking for. People say Haswell processors work better than Ivy Bridge, but is it right when it comes to FSX or is it the other way around? The reason I am asking because an i7 4770K and i7 4820 costs same amount but the second one can be overcooked to 5.0 GHz and above where as the Haswell chip can only be over clocked to 4.3 Ghz I suppose. I am looking for high resolution with high frame rate so which processor I should go for? Many thanks, Ronnie
  2. Hello fellow simmers I have been having a problem with my pmdg 737-800ngx. When I get to my cruise altitude, my plane starts to slow down and keeps dropping speed. As an example let's say I get to my cruise st FL350 the plane goes into crz mode for a speed of 300, but 10 min later my plane speed is at 200 and I'm getting speed warning. Any help would be awesome Thanks
  3. Hi Everyone! B) I am new to flying the 707 and So I have a question to ask which hopefully someone will be able to answer. So obviously the 707 has no FMC system its all pure old school navigation. Therefore Calculations had to be done by the Pilots, Not the computers. So for Instance, The FMC can give you the optimum cruising speed for a particular altitude. On the 707 How can you work out your cruising speed for your altitude? It wouldn't be a problem if the cruising speed stayed the same all the time but as you get higher the IAS you fly at becomes less and less (For Example at FL300 you may fly at 320IAS, But at FL360 only around 290-300). Help is appreciated! Kriss
  4. HiI try to ask to set by voice, course, altitude and speed but Fo doesn't accept to do any command only after takeoff.I know you follow the sop very carfully but is it possible to add this future?Another wish is it possible to make a mix of Ground power unit and then APU as we do in general.thank you
  5. I just got the IRIS F-15E "Mudhen Driver" a couple of days ago, but something seems odd with the speed. The aircraft will only accelerate to about 550 KIAS (and about 600 in a dive), but I checked online and in the IRIS documentation, and it's max speed is over Mach 2.5. So that means that it should have supercruise capability (at least I'd think so), and I can't even get supersonic with full afterburner. I assume I'm flying it incorrectly, but what could I be doing wrong? Thanks, boeing247 (and I'm asking here because I can't seem to get into the IRIS forums--and there are more people here )
  6. Hello guys, I've downloaded EditVoicePackX for my FSX but it doesn't give me wind speed or direction when I'm landing my aircraft. I have no idea why this is happening. I get wind information during my takeoff only. I tried to find an answer over the internet but I didn't find anything useful. My EditVoicePackX version is 4.0. By the way, how do I reset the elevator trim wheel on B737 for 0º whenever I disengage the AP ? I always disconnect the AP but I have to pause the simulation and keep clicking with my mouse on the position indicator until it reaches the position 0º. It's ######ing me off. Thanks for your help!
  7. It's impossible for me to do a Vnav descend without exceeding the target speed, specially beyond 20.000 feets. I need to deploy spoilers and still exceed the speed. I noticied that in idle position the engines are running at 40%N1, 40%??? that's normal? Anybody have the same problem?
  8. I was just wondering if the upcoming fs2crew addon for the ngx will be able to controll alt, spd and hdg? I seem to remember that it doesnt with the 747 because pmdg didnt program that addon in a way making it possible for fs2crew to command those settings via their app.
  9. Hello everyone, i am posting this topic just to try to understand if i'm wrong or there something strange in this plane... I hope the first one ^_^ I use to fly this 320 quite easily, but sometimes it pi**es me off a little bit... Here I come to the problems: ---I'm all ready to take off on my clean and nice runway, so i apply thrust to TOGA/FLX T. and i lift off at my Vr... SUDDENTLY as soon as it feels that is free to play with the throttle (when the A/T has been engaged), it starts to accellerate to speeds like 280kts or above... which are illegal under FL100. I understand that i could be a matter of thrust power to set when setting up the FMC. My stadard initial climb profile after take off is (following noise abatment procedures and depending on airport) Vr lift-off and put the attitude at roughly 15°, then, reached 1000ft AGL i put down the nose to 10° starting to accellerate to 200+ kts and flaps retracting, as soon as i get to the 2000ft AGL i cut the thrust to climb power (which is actually 1 click back from FLEX TEMP throttle setting) and i further lower the attitude at around 5° just to mantain an operational rate of climb. ---Another problem is about the turns... When the plane on AP does an operational or cruise turn, it always uses a 30° bank... i don't want to think about the passenger at the toilet! Here i'm also conscious that there should be some setting to set the max bank angle, even if in the reality the bank angle is calculated by the fligh computer, i don't really think that a real Airbus can turn with 30°BA at 140kts... like i saw in FSX. Can someone shed lights on this facts please? Thank You very much in advance B)
  10. HI, I am currently flying from EGLL to OBBI and since departing I've had to battle an issue where the next 1 or 2 (sometimes more) waypoints have their speeds set to 170kts in the FMC. I am le currently at FL350 and have set the MCP speed to .83mach. If I leave it on FMC speed, the aircraft slows down to the slowest possible safe speed, just above stall as the FMC sets the speed to 170kts. Now, this happens as the flights progresses. For example, in the FMC I can see that my waypoints currently are: BOREP 170/FL369 BAMAS 170/FL381 KEPOM .828/FL390 Now, when the aircraft reaches BOREP, KEPOM will be altered to read 170/390. I have read the introduction manual and have been through the FCTM and FCOM 1&2. If it helps, I'm flying with a cost index of 72. Any ideas? Rynardt
  11. Hi guys! I have a question...there's something strange with the B200...or I'm doing wrong...?, if I try to follow torque lb power according to the cruise performance tables, they're only correct and match the power if Anti-Ice is OFF, if Anti-Ice is ON, the power decreases obviously, but does not match the indicated torque lb never...otherwise, I have to leave the throttle at full power, trying to match the torque lbs...and that's not right and real...I think? Someone can explain me this, or clarify it?, I really need to know this!!!, thanks guys! Regards
  12. I see at the top of the speed tape it shows < 000 anyone know how if theres a knob where can set the speed or is that just there for no purpose?
  13. Hey Guys, I need some advice and help on a new computer build to run FSX: SE on maximum graphics or close to it. Please look at the parts that I plan on using to build the computer below: CPU Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK ATX LGA1150 Memory G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 SSD Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" SSD Storage Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Video Card Asus Radeon R9 270X 2GB DirectCU II Case Corsair 760T Black ATX Full Tower Power Supply SeaSonic 850W ATX12V / EPS12V Optical Drive Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) Sound Card Asus Xonar D1 Wireless Network Adapter Asus PCE-N53 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1
  14. Hello everyone! When I fly my approach into an airport, such as SFO, I see that the FMC really wants me to be going pretty dang slow, like 160 to 150KIAS. But I know in real life, ATC would like me to fly a lot faster. Approaching SFO, for instance, planes are expect to fly 180KIAS until DUMBA or BARTN and slow to final approach speed only at the outer marker (AXMUL, I believe). What's the best way to simluate this? If I turn A/T to speed mode, I lose the VNAV and I have to control my own descents. But if I keep it on VNAV, the plane wants to slow to a very slow speed. And I don't like changing all the points to have a speed of 180 but maybe that's the only answer? Ideas?
  15. Hello Pilots =) I am a little bit disappointed. I bought the Aircraft yesterday from Aerosoft and installed it. First that i saw - i had to Download Version 1.0 1. Is there no Update for the C208? I got the normal Cockpit Version and not the Version with G1000 So i startet a Flight, working the Checklist. Until Departure everything works fine for me. Now i´m going in the Runway, set the T/O Power and at 70kts i rotate the Airplane. Until this Point everything is O.K. After Lift-Off - the Airplane doesn´t get Speed. I can only climb with 300 ft/min at 70kts, Climb Speed according to the Checklist is 90 Kts. Even if i Level off, i can´t gain Speed. It Holds at 80 kts even when the Flaps are retracted. So first i tried to make the Aircraft leighter, put some Fuel out of the Tanks and reduce the Load in the Aircraft - But same Problem. It also accours if i disable the Cargo Box below the Airplane. Can anybody help? I paid 37€ for the Plane and it is unflyable for me. I don´t find any Help in the Internet about this issue. Maybe here? If you want to see the Problem i can also take a Video of it and post it here. Thanks in Advance - Marci If you want to see the Problem i can Take a Video of it and post it here.
  16. Hello, I have the Aerosim 787 and I can't change my V/S. It is literally blank. I have tried reinstalling and etc, but nothing has really worked. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
  17. Hello everybody, just encountered a strange thing in the NGX. The Minimum Speed isn't displayed on either PFD. What I do see in cruise flight is the minimum manoevering speed. But no Red Band on the speed tape neither in cruise, nor in climb, nor in descent. A couple of days later, I noticed the same odd thing in the 777, haven't tried the QOTS2 yet. I tried reinstalling the NGX but it didn't help. Same thing for recreating the fsx.cfg... I'm running all three on FSX with an I5-8600k processor, 16GB RAM and a GTX1060 GPU. Has anyone come across this problem already and knows how to fix it? Thank you in advance!
  18. Just curious..When I am taxiing...the NGX just wants to fly down the taxiways. I have the throttle all the way down and still too fast and constantly having to brake. Is there a way in fsuipc or in pmdg aircraft to get the plane speed down to say 10mph.. Thanks for any assistance, Warmest Regards, Bob M.
  19. Hi guys, I have returned to simming MSFS after several years absent, encouraged back with the new release, however I am getting somewhat frustrated by an often unresponsive keyboard particularly with Shift Ctrl H, Z, R. I have read lots of threads on various sites mostly over a year old but no definitive solution, conflicts with other software such as NZXT etc. I watched a You Tube video and noticed that when activating the buttons the sub menu shows the keyboard commands, with me it shows the mouse commands only. My keyboard is recognised as other keys do work ok. Is this a software issue/conflict or am I simply doing something fundamentally wrong? Any help will be much appreciated. For reference I am using a Saitek yoke and at the moment most settings are on EASY.
  20. Hi all, I'm curious about the performance I am getting with my setup. I have a new laptop. It is a Toshiba Satellite P75-A7200. The specs are located here: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Toshiba-Satellite-P75-A7200-Notebook.103741.0.html :: Processor Intel Core i7-4700MQ 2.4 GHz (Intel Core i7) :: Mainboard Intel HM86 (Lynx Point) :: Memory 8192 MB, DDR3-1600 MHz :: Graphics adapter Intel HD Graphics 4600, Core: 400 - 1150 MHz, 9.18.10.3107 1792MB available graphics memory (in system settings) :: Display 17.3 inch 16:9, 1920x1080 pixel, AUO209D, TN LED, glossy: yes :: Harddisk HGST Travelstar 5K1000 HTS541075A9E680, 750 GB 5400 rpm It seems based on these specs I would have a good consistent high frame rate but when I am landing at an airport, my framerate drops down to 10fps or below with the default rendering options. I have dropped the number of objects and roads down to "a lot" and it still gets pretty jerky when landing. any ideas or tips on how to improve this? overall it isn't too bad but I would like it better of course if I could keep my framerate above 20 all the time if possible (without having to sacrifice much).. Thanks, -Tavis

  23. Hi, So I was wondering about 2 things. A: Is there anyone that could do a repaint for the NGX 737-600 in Southwest Canyon blue colors? B: Why is it that the NGx can only go up to 340 knots, on a flight tracking app it shows that a 737-700 can go up to 400 knots. Victor S.
