The yaw damper works great for normal turns. Like the post above mentioned, crosswind landings, engine failures, and steep turns (only done in initial and recurrent training in the sim) will require rudder use. Most jets are feet flat on the floor when flying. In fact by trying to use them you have a good chance of inducing Dutch roll. Not saying you will but its possible.

Just curious, why did you pause to extend flaps?

Question regarding flying over areas with overcast conditions. Is there a way to program an overcast layer below? Flying out of IAD tonight and the WX on the ground was perfect. At about 3000ft it changed to scattered/broken below with a metar 200 overcast. Just curious. Justin

After installing a GTX660Ti video card I notices that the slats don't move but the acuators do. They just move through the slats. Fowler flaps and flaps move fine. I submitted a ticket but hoped someone here could answer quicker. Justin Whetstone

Enter the nat routes in the fms manually, just google FAA nat and it should find the daily routes. Since they do change daily you cant put NATA as a "Via" on the rte page. Then you should check for correct entry, sometimes if you hit one wrong digit you can add 16000 miles to the flight. Lat/long can only be added on legs page not rte page.

OP Thank you for this post. I have been going absolutely insane with active sky 2012 because it kills my frames Rex is even worse now I have Rex textures and Opus.. Great Frame rates and real world weather! Can not believe how fast it's running, dusk to night flight nonetheless.

Are you using the keyboard to extend the speed brakes or a joystick? Sounds like you just armed them and didn't deploy them.

When using FSX PMDG products (all I use) with SB4 the aircraft sounds mute when someone talks on SB. Is there a way to stop this? I am posting on onther forums as well but hope to fix it soon. ThanksJustin Whetstone

I have unchecked realistic windshear turb on REX 2.0 because it puts the plane in a large right/left bank. I have had to disconnect AP many times to keep the plane from falling out of the sky. They say it is due to PMDG programming.

Hi everyone,I have tried to wrap my head around repainting and I am not skilled enough. So, if anyone is looking for a project I would like to request a repaint of the Majestic Dash 8 300 in CommutAir colors (Continental Connection).
