  1. If you don't recall, a post Ryan said "I swear I'm going to quit if people start up with the 777 updates after this thing is released" is a pretty good indicator that they really don't want to hear "Is this going to be included on the 777?" "How are we coming along on the 777?" and so on. And lastly, how is my first post "directed" at him? I simply stated people cannot be satisfied, and "Seriously dude, don't go there" is not an insult, it's simply a good pointer saying, it's too soon.
  2. I'm just saying that the LAST thing these guys are going to be concerned about is the 777. Try a few months down the road when the ngx is out and they might be thinking about the next project... After their long deserved rest.
  3. Everytime I see the forum police I always think of that young cop with a cocky attitude and always fingering his gun on his side!!! haha.
  4. I was on the floor laughing when I saw this. You can never satisfy people, they gripe about one thing, and when you fulfill that request, they jump to the next thing just like that!! Seriously dude, don't go there....
  5. I'm usually pretty quiet, but I yelled "YES!!!" when I read this, and the guy in the next room at camp pounded on my wall and said "SHUT UP!" hahaha. Can't wait you guys, my visa is standing by!
  6. If there is one thing the oil patch of Northern Canada has taught me, it's not to lean a particular way due to the price!!! Whatever the cost of this thing, I will buy it! However, I will have to wait two weeks until I can download it, the satellite internet at camp doesn't like downloads... :(
  7. I'm just curious as to if a similar scenario will occur if you start with a door open on a cold -40 northern canada morning. Will things start to freeze up?
  8. thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it! Mystery FINALLY solved, lol.
  9. A bit of an old topic, but I thought I should add that up in Northern Canada, charter companies like North Cariboo Air mostly do Oilfield charters, (IE: bringing in crew from a larger city like Edmonton to a smaller town like Fort Nelson on a crew change) but also operate corporate jets, therefore they can shuttle people to larger cities or warmer destinations. Operations like these generally do pretty well in the winter AND summer months. Summer is generally a little busier because there are no Ice Roads and everything must be flown in unless there is a permanent gravel road. One local fly-in fishing company used their Twin Otter as a contract plane in the winter for the oilfield, and brought in over $30,000 dollars a month, for less than 10 hours of flying each month!!
  10. Hi Everyone. Recently, while watching a bunch of Twin otter videos online, I keep hearing this recurring sound, like a whine, and it has been bugging me ever since to figure out what it is. The link for the video is here, and the sounds are at :08, :13, and :16 seconds. It's been in a number of other Twin Otter videos like shutdowns and startups and takeoffs, and I can't find any info on it anywhere! I was just hoping a Twin Otter expert or somebody familiar with it's systems would know what causes the sound. Thanks everyone!
  11. Definitely would like to see either PMDG or Captain sim do the 737-200; It's simply a Classic! Cannot for the life of me find one with a VC. Make sure you include the Air North Yukon livery!!
