My GTN750 works flawlessly on fsx. Will the GTN750 work on P3D v3.3 +?
Before I take out the wallet, can someone here confirm that it works on P3D 3.3? Flight1 website says: NOTE: These Downloads Are Below Are For Prepar3D 2.2+ and Version 3.0 No mention of 3.1, 3.2, or 3.3 Bernardo.

I dunno if I'll purchase this jet... not encouraging chatter here
And that is why I will be buying the Hawker Bert. Carenado ought to publicly thank you for your work. Thanks a million.

I dunno if I'll purchase this jet... not encouraging chatter here
Just to add my two cents worth...... I started a thread here a couple of weeks ago about how Carenado was censoring and deleting comments on FB. We all have had a healthy dose of different opinions on the subject. However, I also stated that I own a few Carenados, phenom, PC12, Citation, etc, and was looking very much forward to the Hawker hoping that it would be different this time in terms of bugs, etc. That was obviously not the case when it came out or even after SP1. However, thanks to many people here, and Bert being the first name that comes to mind, it has now become a very real possibility that I may be buying the Hawker. Bert, I wish you would demand some sort of compensation from Carenado. You would have an infinite number of witnesses to support your claim.

Carenado blocking negative comments on Facebook
You are right, a store owner is entitled to do what it likes with its comments, just like we as customers are entitled to alert those who are unaware, which I am sure are many, that the comments on their facebook page are in fact censored. I have no problem whatsoever with a business stating on their page something like "This is what our customers are saying about our product....." , but when they give the impression that all comments are freely posted and kept, it is quite misleading.

Disappointing!
besides negative comments on FB, refunds might be another thing they deleted....??

Carenado blocking negative comments on Facebook
Of course, whatever a developer has to say about their product on Facebook or any other medium has to be balanced with unbiased feedback, and I am 100% ok with the developer using Facebook to promote their product. The problem for me is that once you as a "store" owner enable and allow customers to post comments, you've got to respect those comments positive or not. You cannot then delete the negative ones, that is misleading, bordering on fraudulent simply because they are giving us the impression that comments can freely be posted there.

The Hawker is Released
Carenado's pricing policy seems more closely associated with the size of the plane rather than quality and functionality of addon. Starting with the Seneca at $37.95 going up in small increments to the Hawker at $49.95. At this rate I shudder to think what they would charge for a buggy and incomplete T7.

Carenado blocking negative comments on Facebook
You are absolutely right in that, generally speaking, although I am no Facebook follower. However Carenado has historically ignored the legitimate complains voiced here and elsewhere for the multiple bugs found on their planes upon release. In fact, had it not been for the support here at Avsim and for the fixes made to carenado's planes here, I would not have bought the Citation. I did a ticket with them for the Phenom or the Citation, can't remember which, but I do remember it took almost three full weeks for me to get a generic reply that did not address my question.I fully wanted to believe that they were serious this time with the Hawker, I still would like to, but the initial comments did not look good prior to them censoring them out.

Carenado blocking negative comments on Facebook
First of, I am not a Carenado hater or basher, far from it, I own a few of their planes so I am aware of their strengths and their weaknesses, and knowing that I am able to enjoy their products, although I still wish they would develop their planes better. As a paying customer I rely on information and feedback from people that have had a chance to test their planes and provide us with extremely valuable feedback that helps us make a decision on wether to buy their planes or not. As such for example, and knowing the pretty fair amount of negative feedback that the Citation received, I still decided that it was worth it for me to purchase it and was able to enjoy the plane using some of the mods from this forum, for which I am extremely grateful to all. Carenado has in fact now denied me and others the chance to form a fair and unbiased opinion on whether to purchase the Hawker by deleting a lot of the most serious complains about the plane on their Facebook page. Thankfully we still have this page to form an opinion.

The Hawker is Released
Have you guys noticed that they are editing out a lot of the negative comments on their Facebook page? Sad to see a business resorting to that. Edit: just found out through a well known person that actually bought the plane that they (carenado) blocked him from posting comments on their Facebook page, he also pointed out that several comments of people complaining were edited.

- Night Environment Next Project Request
Hi Chris, Maybe it has already been asked, but would you consider doing Puerto Rico, and the islands around like St. Thomas, St. John, etc.? Thanks for the excellent work, I like to create my own photoreal scenery and having your lights is a must.- Aerosoft Night Environment - Global Coverage and Completed Region map
Having gone thru some of those same difficult issues this past year, my thoughts and prayers are with them. I don't know if this has been asked already, but I have just completed Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Culebra, Vieques, St. Croix and parts of the BVI in LOD17 photoreal, and am in the process of doing Peru as well. Is there any chance of you guys doing either? Thanks.- The perfect HDR ...
Seems that I had overlooked removing //. It does look much better now. Rob, two observations: First, I still get the 1/2 second brightened screen when clicking to change views, but I suspect that may have to do with my very weak graphics and system. Last, setting avgLuminance *= 0.60f; makes the ground terrain look perfect, but at night the panel looks way too bright. Setting the avgLuminance *= 0.85f; works better for the panel, but wished the ground would be a bit brighter. I will play with those numbers. To end this post I wanted to say that your help has made Prepar3D a much much better experience for me, thanks again Rob.- The perfect HDR ...
Rob, interesting point. Will check when back home tomorrow and report back.- The perfect HDR ...
Rob, here are the shots (hope it works) that hopefully explain the problem better than my words: or if this does not work, and apparently it doesnt as that image extension is not allowed to be uploaded, so here are the direct links thru OZx image hosting outside view dark http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2015/01/20/wrfQC.jpg outside view lightened http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2015/01/20/s29JK.jpg cabin dark http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2015/01/20/ex4B1.jpg cabin lightened http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2015/01/20/MsaR7.jpg it lightens only for a second, right before switching views, atall other times it is the darker version I get.- The perfect HDR ...
Thanks for the replies Rob and Novation, I was going to post a couple of screenshots I took to help explain what I noticed, but I cant find the default uploader or flash uploader anywhere on the toolbar, can you guys point me towards the uploader? Thanks. Rob, it happens to me with all aircrafts, but the funny thing is that I did not notice it until perhaps a week ago. It happens for a split second right after I click to change views using my joystick, but before it actually changes to the next view, and it happens with all views. Anyway, if I could post these screenshots it shows perfectly what I mean.- The perfect HDR ...
Rob, this is my first comment here and I am so glad to have come across your post. I have been a long time FSX user, and just recently decided to give prepar3d a try. For the most part it is far better than FSX, however, being that I prefer to fly with photoreal scenery around (my own), I noticed that the ground textures were way too dark compared to FSX. I had almost decided to concentrate solely on FSX when I read this post of yours. Since applying the edits, things are looking brighter, pun indeed intended, thanks a million for sharing that from a long time fan of your videos. I do have a question, rather a puzzling thing. I have noticed that whenever i switch views VC to outside, , the scenery or panel brighten to the perfect intensity about a second after I click to switch, then it reverts to the darker version which is still brighter than before applying your tweaks. Has anyone experienced this? Bernardo.- Joystick (throttle) works on FSX but not Prepar3D 2.4
annber replied to annber's topic in Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etcUpdate. Today I fired up Prepar3D with the new joystick, throttle worked, but as I was lining up on the runway the rudder starting to have a life of its own, unable to control it. Tried to recalibrate, tried uninstalling the software, nothing worked. I did look at the video for fsuipc, but I am sorry and embarrassed to say it is still confusing to me. I do remember noticing yesterday when calibrating there was a step at the end before clicking apply that was missing today from the process, is that the Z rotation? Is there a way to fix that? Thanks!- Joystick (throttle) works on FSX but not Prepar3D 2.4
annber replied to annber's topic in Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etcThank you very much for the post, I will watch those tutorials later today, after everyone goes to bed. I will like to share what I did in the meantime: I went to Best Buy here and bought a new joystick, a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, just to see if that would solve my Prepar3D problem. It apparently did, I just connected that new joystick, calibrated it and just like that the throttle problem is solved. I will also say that there is a huge difference between my old Attack3 joystick and this new one. I still would like to know why the old one worked in FSX but not in Prepar3D. - Night Environment Next Project Request
