Will upgrade make a difference?
If you plan to buy a any GTX Series, you might consider visiting this pageafter you install your card. Bojote's Tweaking and Tuning tool for FSXIt will help you gain some extra FPS on your FSX.And as someone said before, try to also buy more ram. 4 GB of ram willmake FSX breathe a bit more. Making FSX run smoothly involves many factors. starting off from CPU processor, followed by RAM, video and a big fat hard drive.Oh and by the way, upgrade from Vista to WIN7.Cheers! Mike

FSX settings question
You might wanna try saving your display settings. FSX Sometimes screws up you display settings when adding new scenery because of the scenery's nature. So whenever I add a new airport/vfr scenery, I load my FSX Settings again.Cheers!

737NG in FSX
There's been a problem with the VC in the 800/900 series, I do remember seeing a mess wiht the gauges on the glass cockpits. The APU (in my case) won't turn off when engines are started. You have to re-edit the panel.cfg file in the 800/900 bird. Watch out where you place the gauges.Cheers!

737NG in FSX
Here's a "step by step" guide to make FS2004 737NG to work on FSXFirst of all I recommend to make clean installs FS9 & FSX. Once two sims are set, proceed to install PMDG 737NG on FS2004. Now here comes the tricky part. You'll need to go through each folder in FS2004 that contains "PMDG" files. Make a temp folder on your desktop and create these foldersEffectsGaugesModulesFMCWPPMDGSimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-700SoundsNow, as I said before, Copy all files containing the keyword "pmdg" in FS2004 to their respective folder. Now copy the temp folder to the main FSX installation directory. You might wanna add some cameras (not working in fs9)Launch FSX, load a 737 plane, and DO NOT go to the overhead panel because this will make FSX crash. First press SHIFT-1 and you'll get all gauges working, NOW you can go to the overhead panel and turn off the plane to start from cold & dark.Enjoy! Copy

My NGX PC is one year old and waiting ...
I have an ASUS P6T X58 Chipset with an i7 [email protected] Ghtz. and 8Gb of ram in dual channel and H50 Water Cooling.Running FSX on "ULTRA HIGH SETTINGS" CPU temp won't pass 45 Celsius. My overclocking to 4.1 Ghtz boosted CPU temp to 70 Celsius!
