  1. That means more updates :( ....hey why is this in the NGX forum?
  2. I deleted all of my old liveries and disposed of all my old installation liveries so not to mix them up and re downloaded new ones as per instructions. It also stated you do not need to do a full/fresh install but I wonder why it affected winglet version? I noticed after an update it changed it to the new version, but it reverted it back to 2888 only after installing the liveries and it only affects the winglet version. I made sure the update went through by checking the CFG files before installing the liveries, but I knew something was wrong when they were deleting them selves in circles. And yes I can select multiple liveries at once when installing. Livery manager is v1.08
  3. Yes I downloaded them this morning
  4. After updating to SP1 and installing all of my liveries all over again, I noticed that the winglet versions of both -800 and -900 models were reverted to the 2888 version only after the livery installation. This did not affect the non-winglet version. Also, when I install my liveries, as before the update, it will not allow me to install more than one livery at a time, and when I install another livery it deletes them both and the third one takes over leaving my texture files in place but the CFG file is not updated accordingly. Example: I install the United livery, it shows in the -800WL menu. Then I install, let's say American livery, none show up, I then go and install as an example Continental livery, only that will show on the menu and it goes in circles as you repeat the procedure so you get the idea. This issue appears to be fixed with the non-winglet versions. I am currently having to add to the CFG files lines that are missing for the textures of the planes that did not correctly install. Any ideas?
  5. Did you pull your flaps up?? I think there is a speed restriction controlled by aircraft systems as to not to damage the flaps on overspeed. And remember to set your trim according to whatever FMC input you set it to.
  6. Sure...you're right....when you fly in the real world...Now we're on a simulator, which means we can simulate the real world characteristics and we can have fun while doing it. Remember this is just a hobby, not "Log off and log back in when you read the NOTAM's" kind of simulation.
  7. I didn't know PMDG NGX's requirements included go and buy a new computer :( I'm getting nice frame rates on my rig (12-18 in the cockpit at the gate at KORD FSDT scenery and 25+ at cruise altitude) with all the bars maxed out, you really need to have FSX run on a separate HD for it to work flawlessly. It gave me an additional 60% increase in frame rates since I moved it from the "C" drive and I was only able to run my bars maybe at 20%. I run in the 50's on my other aircraft like LDS 767 and Wilco products. PMDG is really detail oriented and I really like their new NGX. As a matter of fact, it's so much new learning it gives me a headache (in a good way). But it really is a great piece of machine where the money was well spent.
  8. Just fly into Poland, they are notorius for following their strict real world rules. They even update their airport based on construction and other restrictions. I try to stay away from there though when ATC comes up, they seem to take it personally when you don't read their NOTAMs on the web site before flying in.
  9. It so happens that after I landed my FSX crashed so I had to reset, but it doesn't appear to be a problem anymore. I am still having an issue to start my number 2 engine first. If i start with my #1 engine, my #2 will not start. Is this a normal procedure?
  10. Hmmm.... I have a similar thread, only this happens when I start the engine, I don't notice any oil pressure drop, however my #1 engine will not respond to throttle even though the trottle moves. I did notice there seems to be a delay although I have yet to confirm it, since I was on VATSIM and because my engines responded a short while later, I just moved on. I will be playing with this once I land in a few.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/351885-engine-does-not-respond-to-throttle/
  11. +1 for VATSIM....oh and don't forget CROSS THE POND this Saturday the 29th :) see you there
  12. I want to say there seems to be a delay in the throttle response from the time you turn on the engines (something I'm not used to) This has happened to me again when I was taking off LAX not too long ago. I tried the CTRL+E function like I have stated before and no response. So as of right now, that's all I have.
  13. Thanks for the info, will keep that in mind for the next flight ;)
  14. Here are the pictures you have requested, although I am already in mid flight.
  15. Ok so I started my engines and my #1 engine will not respond to throttle. I tried restarting the engine as well as the CTRL+E (1 & 2) and it does not work. Any ideas? Also unless I start with starting my #2 engine my #2 will not start if I start with starting my #1 engine. **EDIT**For some reason when I pressed CTRL+E (1,2,3,4) it worked. Hope this helped.
  16. So now that you have everyones mouth watering (including mine) about the NGX, can we please have the purchase link? I mean just about now I think people are willing to get what's ready and then wait for the update to come out for the, if I remember correctly reading from forums, 20 or some glitches that you guys are still working on. This would be a great take off for the Summer... plus can't wait for the 777, haven't seen a good one yet, and you guys never dissappoint. :(
