  1. Opus says: We strongly recommend the use of 3rd party packages such as FEX for their sky and cloud textures, or HDEv2 (freeware) for clouds with the sky upgraded by Danny Glover. REX is not mentioned, is there any reason I should choose FEX instead of REX(already own) I want to use Opus on 3 pc's with livecamera and weather synchonized across 7x 27" screens Do opus and FEX have advantages like automatically load new textures on all pc's instead of when using Opus with REX you probably do that manually ? Or is there no reason.... Also, If i install REX and want to change to FEX is there any "polutted FSX" because of those textures/incompatibility ? Remco
  2. thanks for all the responses....what prevents me movingthe frame ? well my girlfriend actually....Also then the overheadpanel will be about 1 meter out of reach because of that if I would put the monotor IN FRONT of the frame (angle down)I prefer to have only one full screen window (3x27" on TH2GO) of my main pc so I can archive high FPS with all eyecandy on. I did some test in the past and framerates dropped dramatically when having two screen connected 3D to 2 outputs.I think that the following solution is perfect for me: what do you guys think ? yes I need 2 more pc's but the result seems spectacular ? I just spoke this evening to a timberman? (correct word) and we can build something like the video WITHOUT the stupid middlebarCurrently I have my 3x27" running all on 1920 x1080. I know it can be a problem because my friend was unable to archieve same resolution.Nicepicture JasonHarris!Someone else wrote me that 2 is really a bad idea: he wrote"Never 2 will be better than three. With two, your visuals make a strange effect, and the runaway will be always hide in the middle wherever you move your display. Different sizes for each are not good option, this make you visual with different sizes if you keep the resolution or different in pixel display if you change the resolution to keep the image size."At the moment I prefer the solution as in the youtube video. What do you guys think about that for my problem ?
  3. about EUR 25.000 I am just building one....only no cockpit shell rest high class.www.oncealoft.com where I bought my boeing 737 seats....they are on their way to EHAM!
  4. Hello,I am building a cockpit full scale 1:1 2 persons. Now I have 3x 27" monitor on triplehead2go but because I have a iron construction for the overhead panel i cannot see about 8" of the middle monitor because it blocks my view....no runway....too bad. Looking for a good solution for that. 3x projectors are not option because of space and construction problems.1) would 3x hdtv work on Matrox triplehead to go on 3x 1920x1080 ?2) will there be any difference in quality compared to a monitor ?3) What size and number of screen would be suitable ? 3x 37" 3x 43" 3x 55" I will be sitting with my eyes about 3feet(1meter) away from the screens. (2 person cockpit, so each person will see:3 screen: captain left of middle screen fo: right of middle screen runway: middle of middle screen.2 screen: captain middle of left screen fo: middle of right screen runway: big in middle (more big then with 3x 27" because everything will become bigger)4) will 2x 55" be better then 3x 37" ? because of reality feeling ? (3x 55" wont fit...)5) I know for nvidia surround or 3d vision surround gaming I need two GTX580. If I am correct there are still problems with nvidia surround and FSX?6) 3D will possible not really work satisfactory : with 2 or 3 screens (different angles, and a captain and f/o both with glasses right ? I think I have to forget about that....too much possible issues. agree? Also 1080P x 3 D will be big issue because you need 120Hz and special checkboard mode on tv.7) any other advise ? will try to post some pics tommorowThanks for thinking with me...Remco

  6. same story here 2D or 3D...see my thread at: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/343551-1x-30-vc-or-multimonitor-with-2d-panels/page__fromsearch__1
  7. Ok....wondering what the opinion is here... Thinking about 1 of these setups: 1)1x 30" 2560 x 1600 with VC pmdg only or 2) 3x 24 (1980x1080)TH2GO for outside viewand 2x 22" for 2D panel (without throttle quadrant!!!) PMDG 2D or Promsim737 networked Currently I have 3x 22" outside view and 3x 19" instruments running with Prosim737 networked. Most important instruments are available but a 2D panel of airplane is not. Because I am going to live temporary somewhere else and new release of PMDG I am rethinking this setup. I would like to follow AoA traning with NGX but only If I am convinced of "best" setup. Already got some tips by Private Message but wondering what general opinion is..... with 30" I would almost have 50% more vertical pixels then with setup 2 but will I miss the wide view ?? Offcourse I can always use HUD when landing...great feature.... Please supply your thoughts and specifically people who have dealt with same decisions....it all comes down what someone wants...can pay....and what hassle you are looking for... Attached a picture of setup 2 with prosim737
  8. Ok, I was running Prosim737 networked and now tried PMDG NGX. First I tried: Main pc with gtx580 and th2go with 3x 22" then i put in additional gtx460 gpu NO SLI 2x 19" screen So outside view on 3x22" at triplehead2go on 5040x1080 and some intruments on 2 19" screen...decent FPS! Anyone else doing this ? Pitty that there is no 2D THrottlequadrant... Anyone tried with more monitors already ? Maybe gonne attache 10" touchscreen by USB...wondering what that will do with performance...
  9. this is my score....i am having low fsxmark11 scoresee: http://forum.avsim.n...1/page__st__175now having 1600 9-9-9Could this possibly be due to memory Kaydub?
  10. as you can see in table on line 2 and line 3 I did not use limiter....and compared 3.8 to 5.0 ghz there was no change in fps according to the test......weird....anyone knows why?
