Hi, Doing the Juhu Aerdrome - VAJJ (Mumbai). South Mumbai near the coast, a couple of miles west of the International Airport - VABB Airport has a lot of helicopter traffic, especially Pawan Hans (Augusta Westland helis) for Oil Rig operations. Some WIP shots ! This is still WIP .

Haha , flying coffin ! that's what we call our Mig-21's here. Because that flying coffin is used to train new heli pilots along with other trainer helis

Santa Cruz is a Railway station here ! 😀 -
ok, but it's better to start with it. I think the real R22 also is not easy to handle.
-
Ok will try it out.

Not the throttle , especially the cylic

Yeah, but I don't tend to use the Extreme 3d with the helis. Already have a modded stick for helis, but since I broke the arduino and haven't had the time to just go 10 mins away from home to buy it, started using fixed until I get the arduino. For taking off with the Extreme 3d at least with the R22 is really bad.

go with a stick, yoike a nono for helis. I have the same stick which @mSparks has., but for helis i have a modded stick with no center spring and a self made collective out of PVC pipe using an Arduino Pro Micro. No better heli to start with , the default R22. For complexity I do recommend the X-trident Bell 412.

I am trying to use the TAF METAR for VABB but I am not sure how to add certain things from the metar into XP. Wish they would put the feature to read a wx file in XP12 -

Ah ! so it's NOAA blocking it. LR would surely settle it. It probably could be due an IDS / IPS if it's not being blocked by a human. Haven't tried using manual Wx in XP12, from what I remember in XP11 you could ask it to read a wx file Don't see that option in XP12, strange -

I see an error "Grib get field failed" , don't think it's downloading the wx. We can test MP , get on Discord when you can. -

What's the deal with the rain?
Humpty replied to bogdansrb's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
That happens almost every monsoon here in Mumbai. If it's raining at Peddar Road , it won't be raining just a few hundred meters offset. -
I don't like the purple sky , it's the same in XP11 and carried forward , this is only if there are stratocumulus with ice / droplets, I believe is when that purple sky happens. I have woken way before wake up time to look at the sky in real and what I see in XP , well to my disappointment it isn't like that in real. during sunset it's yellow / orangish , as the solar zenith angle is passing over the atmosphere in that part of the world. Maybe i need to recheck during monsoon I live in Mumbai, it might be seen in the northern areas ?
