  1. Honestly you are just making it hard for yourself and causing frustration , just keep XP installed with it's bare minimums. Don't like the changes don't use it. But it's your choice. More interested in heli stuff now , but all fdm stuff is welcome.
  2. A stupid question. no one has or seen the actual MFS no one can tell you. that 1 minute video don't tell you anything. I would go with XP11
  3. really fantastic FS9 shot. And Welcome to Mumbai , land on rwy 27
  4. If you can see my ship in the background If not than a close up , it's with strobe lights.
  5. So i have managed param spotlights and can change the colors , but not able to understand the texture coordinates for Area Light in Custom. That light gray square up front is the custom area light but as i can't figure out the texture coordinates That's the MSC Cruiser docked at Colaba.
  6. Trying to make lights for the ship . Don't know why that spot light is pink lol.
  7. Yep , It's Xvision with a fantastic preset , and has amazing clouds the best i have seen
  8. Thanks , but which lighting ? if you mean the horizon then that's not done by me but i am using Xvision with a very nice preset.
  9. A little bit of progress after a long recess. Managing PBR and a cruise ship. MSC Cruiser
  10. Been ages since i have used DCS , that video makes me want to go back to it.
  11. In one of the emails Ben mentioned that Vulkan is almost ready and should be released by end of 2019 and it's for XP11. It would be a bad move not to implement Vulkan in 11 and but move it to 12.
  12. I have that issue but it's not so bad as you describe, sometimes it will give a connection error or the speed will suddenly drop but works fine at least 70-80% of the time. Probably for Asia we might be connecting to a different CDN server.
  13. $29 for Xvision ? I am sure that i paid 18 USD for it.
  14. Sorry to hear this Jim , hope for a speedy recovery.
  15. Yes lowering the weight at that height will help , density altitude will also depend on the temps. Someone at a group who is a real world coast guard pilot told me sometimes they need to throw the heli in high and heavy situations. Use that density calculator Jcomm posted its very helpful to know what your altitude and density factor will be.
  16. at that altitude you probably have less density hence not enough engine power and the rotor blades don't bite the air. Hence difficulty taking off.
  17. Can suggest XVision 100% , the other two i don't have.
  18. Completely agree, its such a put off honestly. Even the current clouds have an issue , certain angles they look like paper , probably that's the 2d thing ? transition within the mountains is also not great. If the particle system gets implemented in the scenery / wx and the engine is opened up that could be fun.
  19. Not sure which version I have, but thanks for the heads up
