The problem is that the Wx being a new addition and definitely a complex thing to develop , they need to just iron out things. But I am liking what I am seeing. Yes there are inconsistencies but that was also the case with MSFS This is somewhere over the Alps using Google Orthos. a big step above XP11

everything has a good bad and the uglee. XP has always been a love hate sim. But there is no better civil sim that can give you the pleasures of simulating the sexy helis. I haven't touched XP11 in many months , tried MSFS twice using the game pass , did I like it ? yes visually , visually XP is not even close that is if you compare only the visuals. I am sure one's using the passenger aircraft's like the Boeing's / Airbuses would not be to concerned if a few bldgs are not correct , no one can see how it is from 35k AGL And to my experience at least 60-70% are using mostly those kinda aircrafts. to see the world from 35k just barren Ortho imagery is enough.

The plugin is showing up in the plugins menu but there is an error about apt.dat not found so no luck

Only had like 10 minutes to try the demo before leaving for work . What I feel is the day light is the same as Xp11 (could be wrong ) Purchased it when in Office , so tonight some fun with the R22. Will get a better impression to what is good and what is bad. And @Pastaiolo PSG Vs Juventus tonight (Viva PSG) Though one thing I noticed was the cloud flickering.

Let's just not take MSFS only , it's best to include DCS / il2 as these are flight sims too , these two are premium class. These don't run on other OS's and unless an until you only want Linux then you need to do that wine type thing and it's still not great. About Austin on a mac , it's a personal preference and ofc if you have a lot of money 😜, but it still works on windows , it's just that on a device you won't have that excitement like on a desktop. How would you like hovering the Robinson on a device compared to a desktop. I am not sure what do you mean by " because the best windows laptop 2022 wont run XP12" ? the windows desktop / laptop will also use the same hardware that a Linux desktop / laptop user would use unless you go and buy a raspberry or an arm system 🤭. The new macbook is a complete different architecture so just not comparable. At the cost of a new macbook i can buy the top end Ryzen desktop with a top GPU and probably still save some. But again on a macbook I am highly limited to other sims and so is Linux. I have both W10 and linux on a dual boot . i don't plan on using XP12 on Linux because I have new hardware and XP11 does very well on it under windows , yes Linux is a little more efficient . When XP12 releases and if Linux is showing me better performance than windows ,I will using XP12 on linux , and go back to windows for my other sims. Remember if I am limiting myself to only XP then i can afford to go with Linux or if I have that money then with a mac.

Fair enough if you did mention the 59% , must have forgotten that you did , but i was also trying to point out that windows is still and will still be the main target. Yes it's a xp thread but you cannot exclude the serious simmers , because a flight sim is just that it will simulate many aspects of flying a real aircraft and not some devices , else Austin would not bother going deep into the fdm , would you enjoy simulating a heli on a device without any controls ? , before you ask if i have tried xp on mobile then yes i have and it was not for me. For casual users it would be fine. Those devices would be great for AAA games but it will not be enjoyable for the flight sims of xp Dcs and il2 level.

But a serious simmer would still not want to sim on mobile phone , if you talk about other games then it's totally a different ball game , in my office they play medal of Honor on the mobile. But a flight just not worth it on a mobile , only as a casual gamer but for someone who has proper controls it just don't cut it Also you are not ready to acknowledge that you are wrong about windows even after i have posted the latest data from LR

I hope you understand that the 80% market share is where most money originates for all game developers. It's good that LR does make money on the mobile app but as a serious simmer I wouldn't use a mobile to simulate a flight. I would not want to be locked down into a Linux / Mac OS environment and not enjoy DCS / il2 And it's pure nonsense that XP11 under windows does not go past the loading screen
