  1. How you doing Paul, Do a google search for the "Cooler Master Cosmos S" series or the "Cooler master HAF X". You can also try the "NZXT Phantom". They are all great cases and should be in and around your budget. Gideon

  8. Hello everyone, I've been searching all over the internet for Stuart Whelen's freeware Fuel Loader program. Is there anyone that has It that can send it to me? http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=fuel+loader&CatID=root&Go=Search http://forum.avsim.net/topic/53489-fuel-loader-by-simhardware/ Gideon Belle
  9. Awesome, looking forward to that. best regards Gideon Belle
  10. NICE!! Just as i thought. I've been prowling the net looking for where I can download that program for a hot minute. Can you point me to where I can download it? Cheers gideon belle
  11. I googled the answer and the closest answer i came up with is 15minutes to refuel a 733 to 14000kgs. Im almost sure the number would be different for a 738 but atleast it gives a ruff idea of the refuel rate. Im really curious though, why do you ask? gideon belle
  12. Yea thats the last i heard as well. I just made a few unrealistic changes here and there and now she's able to fly 5000nm with a healthy reserve and no problems. Hopefully Ryan or RSR doesnt get at me for that but this is an outpouring of my 777LR anxiety attacks. loll..i absolutely love the blue displays tho Gideon Ward
  13. Its true that PMDG did not model the 900 ER and that theres no such thing as an LR . But.................................until the 777-200LR comes out I have my own personal 737-900LR in its stead. Gideon Ward
  14. Cruising at FL370 on my way to KLAX while I wait impatiently for the 777-200LR. Gideon Ward
  15. I can remember flying on Caribbean Airlines some years ago a short time after they acquired their 737-800s. We were on approach to TTPP and I was sitting on the last row of the aircraft wondering why im seeing the runway and approach lighting. So at this point we were on right base to the runway with no flaps deployed when i noticed the pilot pitch up, deploy speedbrakes, while dumping flaps n gear a short second later. After this we turned right and touched down smoother than any smooth could ever be. I was pleasantly amazed n speechless. Needless to say this has been my approach technique when im in the mood for it.. Gidel Warde
  16. There are several apps for android and apple smartphones flying around that allows one to control FSX remotely via wifi. There is even one right here in the avsim library that is geared toward the NGX FMC; though it does have its limitations andd has not worked as it should for me. Perhaps the developer of that app, PMDG, or some other technologically savvy person out there can create a more viable an app that allows us to initiate the step climb from our smartphones while we are out piloting other areas of our lives. 17. LOL.. yea thanks guys...im already transferring left over files to a portable hdd..so i can reinstall vista. just one last thing to try. gidel warde
  18. Hello Owen and thanks for the reply, Yea it wasnt a complete reinstall, i want to exhaust all other avenues before going there. all the other default aircraft works perfectly fine and yes fSX is in the C drive "C:/FSX". Only thing that I probably havent done is the UIAutomationCore.dll, im going try and see whats going on with that and let you know. Thanks again gidel warde
  19. At the risk of starting a flame war among other things, I think that it is extremely important that we all remember not to forget what the Word says about the end of the world: "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Matthew 24:36 If you will, do read what the entire chapter says about the end and measure that with what has already taken place in our history. The fact that we are still here after the midnight Mayan deadline confirms that we cannot listen to the media hype and rumors. So are we ok? Yes most definitely. And im almost certain that we'll all be ringing in Christmas and the new year as we normally do. This, however, does not escape the fact that we have to be ready and that we cannot allow anything n anyone to mislead us. **drops mic and walks away** Gideon W
  20. Hello Bryan, Welcome to the club. Im also in the process of upgrading and just finalize my selection of which parts to use. There are several differences in the p8z77-V mobo series and for starters your choice lies between the p8z77-V and the p8z77-V Pro. The other models with the 'LK' and 'M' and all these different letters are basically close cousins to the V and the V Pro. In some cases they are watered down versions to the V and the V Pro. Anyhow the main differences between the V and V pro is 1) price 2) the V Pro has an extra fan header, 2 more USB 2 connections, and COM port 3)the V pro has a few more power phases for the CPU which means better overclocking ability However, the V can still powerful enough to get you to a 4.2 - 4.7 range without any problems. So basically, If you plan to use a case that uses only 3 chasis fans and dont need the extra USB connections, the p8z77-V would be perfect for you. CPU Intel i5 3570K MOBO ASUS p8z77-V Pro RAM 8GB Corsair Vengeance 8gb Low profile DDR3 1600MHz GPU eVGA GeForce GTX660Ti 2GB HDD 2 Samsung 830 series 128gb SSD PSU Corsair AX750 CPU Cooler Noctua NH-D14 Case CoolerMaster HAF 932 Full Tower OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
  21. Thanks much Ryan! Lol im not a big fan of messing up especially when It comes to $1500 worth of hardware, but Ill take the plunge and build it myself. Im going to stick to air cooling and using the Corsair Vengeance 8gb low profile ram sticks. I could be dead wrong but I dont forsee going over 100gb's in FSX as i have only 2 handfuls of scenery and the PMDG 737 n future 777 to install. GideonWard
  22. Hello everyone. Im piecing together a new rig for flightsim, need some pointers and ideas about a few of the parts. CPU Intel i5 3570K (to be overclocked hopefully to 4.2) MOBO ASUS p8z77-V Pro RAM 8GB Patriot Gamer 2 series DDR3 1600MHz GPU eVGA GeForce GTX660Ti 2GB HDD 2 Samsung 830 series 128gb SSD PSU Corsair AX750 CPU Cooler Noctua NH-D14 (Im a little weary about water cooling) Case CoolerMaster HAF 932 Full Tower OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Theres a few things about this build: 1)for the $1400 that newegg is asking for (not including the operating system) I would rather have the guys at CyberpowerPC build and ship it to me rather than having to put everything together. 2) im not quite comfortable with watercooling the cpu given all the pump failures and leakage issues that could arise. Can anyone advise on a watercooling option that is as good as the noctua air cooler? 3) the Noctua air cooler is huge based on what im reading and can barely fit in most cases with the Ram, can anyone comment on whether this config will work for my case? Thanks in advance Gideon Ward
