  1. You may need to learn how to program and save an actual SID/STAR. Then it will be permanently held in your FMC database. Rgds, Steve
  2. I would recommend a program (payware) called EZDOK (EZCA). It's not expensive, and it will cure your problem and actually enhance your enjoyment of the NGX. I have the program, and it has increased the immersion of the NGX and other payware aircraft. It will enable you to set up & save different viewpoints in the VC, outside the aircraft and world. It has a host of other features also. Look it up on google. Rgds, Steve
  3. I must say that all the NGX painters here are extremely talented. The endless buffet of liveries that are produced for our flying pleasure! Great job to all of you! Thanks for the hard work. Rgds, Steve
  4. Just a thought.......any chance PMDG can provide/integrate RAAS into the NGX in the upcoming SP2? PS: I know there is a freeware version out there which sounds good, but having PMDG integrate it makes it clean. Rgds, Steve
  5. 2 questions Ryan: 1. please refer to this post...was wondering if you could possibly assist with this? http://forum.avsim.net/topic/390571-fs2-crew-window-positions-ngx/ 2. I recently purchased the additional NGX 600-700 series. I noticed that unlike the 800-900, when entering in fuel via the CDU there is no movement from the aircraft (weight differentiation)? Is this correct, or do I have a small issue with the 600-700? Appreciate your assistance. Rgds, Steve
  6. Hi Bryan, ready & willing. just sent you a PM. Rgds, Steve
  7. Hi Pete, the sub-windows will remain in the reposition for the remainding FSX session. However, once I've closed FSX the positions default back It's just a nuisance/hassle to have to go through this procedure each and every FSX session...............can't understand why they won't obey the panel config amendments? Rgds, Steve
  8. Anyone out there able to provide some valuable assistance. I use FS2 Crew Button Version with the NGX. When I open the FS2 Crew Main Window in the NGX I have repositioned it permanently in the Top Right Corner (via the panel config using POS=2). The issue I'm dealing with however is that the Sub-Windows for FS2 Crew ie: PA, FA, CFG, VM, etc are opening up in mid-screen, left of screen, etc. Everywhere else but top right corner where I require. PS: I also altered the window position for each sub-window in the Panel config file - but to no avail? Bryan from FS2 Crew could not assist any further and suggested I check both the FSX Panel SDK and PMDG. As far as I can tell, I've correctly altered the panel config for each window according to the SDK. So now, I'm hoping someone in this forum (whether PMDG staff or another member) can assist. Don't want to keep dragging and repositioning each window manually each time I fly. Thanks, Steve
  9. Not to labour the point Bryan, but I've been attempting to tweak the FS2 Crew Window positions so that each time I start the programme they will be placed in a more suitable position for my use. Through your advice, I have been able to arrange for the main window to load/appear in approximately the top right position of my widescreen (POS=2). However, the sub windows (ie FA, PA, CFG, etc) don't want to play? I've edited each of their positions to POS=2 also, but they insist on loading/opening up in the centre, left or anywhere else other than top right? Tried POS=5 also, but to no avail. I know in the scheme of things it's just a drop, but would be convenient to have them open where I prefer.....right now I'm having to drag each & every sub-window to a preferred position each time I fly. Small hassle. Appreciate any other input you may have to offer in order to resolve it. PS: On another note, I noticed that at Take-Off Checklist the Captain reads the Take Off Trim as eg: 5 Point O (meaning the letter O, not numerical Zero). Is this correct? Thanks & Regards, Steve
  10. Hi Steven, do you happen to use EZDOK? (ie EZCA).......if so, you need to run the config for EZDOK again before starting FSX. Once you've done this, the external view will be ok again. Rgds, Steve
  11. Thx for the info and clarification Bryan! Much appreciated. Rgds, Steve
  12. Thx Ryan, will check the FAIL OP/PASS. Don't use saved flights. Incidentally, I just completed another flight today without the No Autoland Caution Advisory Message appearing.....not sure why it didn't poke it's head out this time as nothing had changed. Despite this, I NEVER use autoland in any case. For me, it's the thrill of the manual hands-on landing....was just curious at the message and why I'd never seen it before considering I've been flying the NGX exclusively now for well over 12 months. Thx again for your input! Much appreciated. Rgds,
  13. Thx Ryan, that was the 1st thing I checked prior to looking through FCOM & QRH. No failures enabled anywhere. I'm stumped! Rgds,
  14. Hi Kenny, thx for the info. I have checked the FCOM's & QRH but can't find a troubleshooting guide on how to avoid and/or resolve the warning. Rgds,
  15. Hi Bryan, 2 things: 1. just wanted to know if there is a simple way to lock the FS2 Crew main Window & Sub-Windows (ie BR, FA, PA, VM, CFG) into a pre determined position of my choice so that each time I open FS2 Crew all my windows will be opened into fixed & more convenient positions of my making? The default positions aren't suitable. 2. in my post regarding "Load & Balance Sheet - Oct 21", I posed another series of questions/issues which have not been resolved/answered as yet, that is; "just to clarify so there's no confusion at my end: I live in Australia, and there are no voice sets with Aussie accents? (Rhetorical) I've chosen the US voice sets but get Scottish accent on ground crew & English accent on person delivering load/balance sheet Captain, FO and FA are US accents Should I have a Scottish and English accent in my US voice set?" Rgds, Steve
  16. Anyone able to explain why this message is appearing in the Engine Display? It is a relatively new phenomena for me, as I haven't seen it before. Much appreciated! Rgds,
  17. Hi Bryan, just to clarify so there's no confusion at my end: I live in Australia, and there are no voice sets with Aussie accents? I've chosen the US voice sets but get Scottish accent on ground crew & English accent on person delivering load/balance sheet Captain, FO and FA are US accents Should I have a Scottish and English accent in my voice set? Rgds, Steve
  18. Hi Bryan, I'm using the US Voice set. Interestingly enough, to add, despite the fact the flight crew (Capt & FO) accent is US, the groundcrew (APU, Ext A, Tug) is Scottish, and the person delivering the Load/Balance sheet is from England? Forgot to mention that to you in my original post. Rgds, Steve
  19. Sidali, I use the same joystick. I don't interface it exclusively via FSUIPC. Just set it up in FSX>Controls and the Logitech Control Panel/Menu. I also allocated each button to a specific task this way. If I remember correctly, rudder, elevators etc are set at sensitivity of 64 each in FSX. I found this to be reasonably acceptable. You may tweak them further until you find the sweetspot. You may have more success just doing it this way, keeping it simple. (IMHO). If you require more detail, let me know. Good luck with it. Rgds, Steve
  20. Hi Bryan, a small issue, but I wanted to ask if you could organize a change to the dialogue during the delivery of the load and balance sheet to the captain. The person delivering the sheet commences with "Good Afternoon Captain".......could this be altered to a more generic "Hello Captain", as the time of day for each flight differs. PS: naturally, this request is not an imperative issue so whenever an update to the button control is in the works perhaps this alteration included then? Thanks again Bryan/Damien Rgds, Steve
  21. Thank you all for your input/advice...much appreciated! Rgds, Steve
  22. Hoping someone can clarify this for me. I only fly the NGX. When sitting on the ground at Gate and gathering all the data for the pre-flight (CDU, etc - ie: FS2 Crew), I have noticed that there is a 12 degree variation between what ATIS is calling and what the Nav Display indicates (in addition to what FS RealWX indicates) ? To clarify, for eg right now I'm sitting at YMML Gate C12. I'm using FSRealWX to gather the weather data and send it to FSX. FSRealWX indicates winds 250@05. Nav Display concurs. FSX ATIS however is calling 238@05? This is not the first time I've noticed this incongruity. It is always 12 degrees. I understand it may be MagVar and difference between True etc. Ultimately my question is this: which wind data do you input into the CDU/FMC? ATIS, or FSRealWX Metar report? Thanks in advance. Steve
  23. Fair enough Bryan. Rgds, Steve
  24. Hi Bryan, Firstly, just to say I purchased FS2 Crew for the NGX a few days ago, and I'm certain that my sentiments on it echo most/all other users in so far as FS2 Crew's ability to add additional levels of immersion. I'm enjoying it immensely. Lastly, I wanted to know if you had ever considered adding a few little extras in terms of checks/flows during Cruise phase of flight? Anyway, thanks for taking the time to answer and for the wonderful product. Rgds, Steve
