  1. Hi bro, have you found that patched .dll file?
  2. Thank you shawlee for your patch, much appreciated! Was that very difficult to recompile that dll module?
  3. EDIT: Sorry about the -800 in the tittle. I meant -400 obviously... -------------- Hi I've got little problem with ILS landing with the ifly 747 under crosswind wheather conditions. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but whenever I attempt the auto landing in windy enviroinment, the airplane is not able to track itself along the glidescope. In other words it looks like it doesn't care to compensate the wind drift. I'm assuming that onboard systems of real 747 are able to take account of crosswind. Note that I'm just an amatour at FS planes which are more complex than the default ones, so maybe this is a matter of procedures - however I haven't found anything related to crosswind landings in the ifly's manual. Thanks for your advice
  4. Thank you for your interest Mike! Both images have FS water inside. TP's blending algorithm is so nifty if you thought it is a photo texture only :) I said downloaded because in fact, both tools use online map services to obtain ground textures. TP, if properly configured, runs "live" like a eg Google Earth map browser and FSET is "a permanent scenery that you can edit" What is your way of making water masks?Despite this, I discovered how to correct blending color. The key values are hidden in the FSEarthMasks.ini under # ---------- Water Transition One (Coast, DeepWater, Water) --------------- sectionWaterTransitionColoringEntrySFunctionFirstHalfOrder = 2WaterTransitionColoringEntrySFunctionSecondHalfOrder = 2WaterTransitionColoringSFunctionToSFunctionConnectionPoint1x = 0.05WaterTransitionColoringSFunctionToSFunctionConnectionPoint1y = 0.3WaterTransitionColoringTransitionSFunctionFirstHalfOrder = 2WaterTransitionColoringTransitionSFunctionSecondHalfOrder = 3WaterTransitionColoringSFunctionToSFunctionConnectionPoint2x = 1.0WaterTransitionColoringSFunctionToSFunctionConnectionPoint2y = 1.0WaterTransitionColoringExitSFunctionFirstHalfOrder = 2WaterTransitionColoringExitSFunctionSecondHalfOrder = 2WaterTransitionColoringFlipFunction = NoWaterTransitionColoringUseEntrySFunctionDistanceLimit = YesWaterTransitionColoringStretchTransitionSAndExitSFunctionToFillAnyGap = YesWaterTransitionColoringEntrySFunctionDistanceLimit = 25WaterTransitionColoringEntrySFunctionLinearSlopeBegin = 0.5WaterTransitionColoringEntrySFunctionLinearSlopeEnd = 0.5WaterTransitionColoringTransitionSFunctionLinearSlopeBegin = 0.5WaterTransitionColoringTransitionSFunctionLinearSlopeEnd = 0.5WaterTransitionColoringExitSFunctionLinearSlopeBegin = 0.5WaterTransitionColoringExitSFunctionLinearSlopeEnd = 0.5WaterTransitionColoringSFunctionToSFunctionConnectionPoint1Slope = 0.0WaterTransitionColoringSFunctionToSFunctionConnectionPoint2Slope = 0.0WaterTransitionLighteness = 100.0 #the strongness of this value is managed with the WaterTransitionLightness tripple S functionWaterTransitionBrightness = 90.0 #the strongness of this value is managed with the WaterTransitionLightness tripple S functionWaterTransitionContrast = 0.0 #the strongness of this value is managed with the WaterTransitionLightness tripple S functionWaterTransitionColoringRed = 38 #the strongness of this value is managed with the WaterTransitionColoring tripple S functionWaterTransitionColoringGreen = 158 #the strongness of this value is managed with the WaterTransitionColoring tripple S functionWaterTransitionColoringBlue = 198 #the strongness of this value is managed with the WaterTransitionColoring tripple S function
  5. Hi again This is an island downloaded by TileProxy: And this is the same island downloaded with FSET: My question is: how can i get (with FSET) nice and smooth shallow water area at a shoreline , like the TP does? I dont wanna that black stripe to be in places where the water is not deep so therefore should be brighter than open sea. TP does that automatically and its results are nice looking.
  6. Could you give me your config then? Nevermind, I got this working! :) Researching turned out FSET can't work with KLM files saved with newer GE versions (6 in my case), so I downloaded portable GE 5.0. Thanks for your interest
  7. Thank you for you reply. TileProxy creates automatic beautiful shorelines but FSET can't do this, what is a huge mistery for me. As I said there was no result in google search concerning such kind of problem so I guess it doesn't look like both FSET and GE are incompatible one another anymore. Probably there is something what I'm doing wrong, I tried to play with an example Elba and Sardigna KLM provided with FSET and the symptoms are the same - FSET can't see them. I would really appreciate if you test that with your FSET in your spare time. And what is your way of making water areas?
  8. Hello I have spent long hours searching a solution how to solve my problem, but I got no satisfaction. It seems like FSEartTiles refuse to work with KML file that I created in G. Earth to define coastlines and deep water. I placed AreaKML.klm file in work folder but FSET shows its default region (some runway and water) after launch but not my area. Could you check if the newest version of GE works with FSET? Thank you in advance. It is senseless to make sceneries without nice looking shallows and rivers.
  9. Try to activate and adjust level_mapping. It has been described in manual.
  10. increase to 50 and 5.0 Double path & double backslash. Why? Disable one of above directories and correct the double slash. I dunno if it is the reason of your trouble but it shouldn't look like that.
  11. Well, high resolution photos of the area you want to fly above are unavailable within current services. Your TP is well configured and as i said that's not your fault. On the other hand you may use FSEarthTiles to make hi-res standalone scenery of your desired area, using Ggle as a maps source.ORBuy the Switzerland Professional scenery
  12. Give me a coordinates (lat & long) of area you desire, I will check that on my own. :)
  13. Oh that grey line. That's not your fault. Bing's (VirtualEarth) map alignment is not perfectly done and empty "grey" belts occurs very often between high and low resolution areas. According to your screenshot, you were flying just near the edge of hi-res photography. Check the same area in web browser, you will see white zone then. Eg. http://www.bing.com/...y=h&form=LMLTCC I noticed that strange thing doesn't come up while using other available services. My advice:1. Change the service2. Try to not fly at the hi-res - low-res border3. Make a variety of your weather, clouds, limited visibilty. IMHO a photo scenery without any clouds and fog looks very flat and not realistic, especially in inhabited areas.
  14. show us a screenshot. What Service are you using? A Bing?
