  1. Hi all, Just a question to snowingairlines, I know about the TFi/Milviz boeing 717 being designed and it looks very promising so far. You said there is another one in development, could you divulge in telling us the company/group doing this or is this a surprise that we will find out more about in the future.
  2. Hi everyone, I have flown on the 717 a few times from Kalgoorlie to Adelaide and it's a great plane, shame PMDG don't want to make one, but I also can see their point of view as well. I am sure you are aware anyway but TFDi Designs are developing one at the moment which is interesting to see and may pave the way for other developers to look into it too. I would love to see the 757 from level-d be finished also as someone else said in this topic.
  3. Thanks I have been waiting a long time for this one, going to purchase soon, all I need now is the Level-D 757 to come out and it will be a great end to the year, oh well at least we have an adelaide now, hopefully they will do a Perth soon too. Cheers Peter
  4. Hi all, Thanks for all the replies, it's good to get other peoples perspectives on the project without it turning into the usual arguments. It will be good to get a fully professional package of the 757 for FSX like the 767. Thanks Peter
  5. Hi all, Just a quick question, Will the Level-D 757 when finally released include the series 300 or will it just be the series 200 only?. If one of the team is able to answer this question that would be great. I did post this on the forums at level-D a while back but got no response. I have also read this is near completion and we may see some news regarding Level-D by the end of this year 2013 perhaps? Fellow simmers please let's not make my question turn into a "it wont be released slanging match", I am waiting patiently for a long time for this beauty and I am a firm believer it will be released eventually. Thanks to everyone and the team Peter
  6. Hello Bill, I have been waiting with anticipation since the project was announced all those years ago, I still believe the 757 from level-d is on it's way. Has the development increased of late or is it the same pace as before. Do you see any positive news from level-d regarding the 757 during the last half of 2013? Anyway, still patiently waiting ad believing Peter
  7. Yes its a shame about the real aircraft starting to get scrapped but I suppose all good things have certain life time too. My fsvourite airliner is the 757 definately something unique about it. I only flew on it once on a First Choice aircraft, enjoyed it. Must admit since moving to Western Australia I have flown on the Boeing 717 and also I find it a unique enjoyable airliner, anyway not trying to get off topic, it's been a long time waiting for Level-D 757, but patiently I will wait. Like myself, Level-D should always put family and real life first, regardless of the few impatient people on forums who think they know best.
  8. Toll/Virgin, I honestly did not know about that one, I learn something every day.
  9. only international freight, Sydney airport gets a few FEDEX and UPS MD-11's, Qantas Freight uses a boeing 767-300 from sydney too but I think that goes to New Zealand quite a lot. I think Qantas holds a major manopoly regarding air frieght in Australia, so a lot does go on Qantas flights and Australian Air Express Jets. I hope this helps
  10. Australian Air Express, part of the Qantas group. they have bae 146's and boeing 737-300 aircraft, only small fleet though
  11. I have had the Dual Head2Go Digital Edition for a few years and have not looked back, my current setup is 2 LG 27" monitors running on a GTX 680 and before that it was running on a GTX 580, For me FSX runs on it nicely without anu noticeble Frame Loss, also you get much more of a view of the VC with it. I highly recommend it Peter
  12. Same for me, I like to fly like most airlines and use the A/P but when taking off and landing manually I had no problems and it flew quite nice, It is a nice aircraft to fly and I personally find it nice to fly something different and modern on VATSIM, whilst most fellow pilots fly the PMDG NGX/MD-11 at the moment and the Airbus X. It is also good for the controller to see different aircraft as well I think. Once you get the hang of flying it, its good to mix in with the other aircraft on VATSIM and enjoy the whole experience.
  13. I have both of these packages, I purchased a few years ago when I was with VOZ Virtual, The graphics is a bit dated now and it does require a little time to learn the cockpit as it is different, but I did enjoy flying these aircraft and they were good on frames as well, for me anyway. As long as you dont expect a PMDG quality aircraft and systems depth you will be ok, Take time to learn the autopilot as it is a little different but once you get to know it its good. The E-Jet series is the E170/E190 variants. For a wilco/Feelthere product it is one of their better ones, especially of late. Hope this helps Peter
  14. Hi all, A Boeing 717 would be excellent from PMDG but this has been so far confirmed by PMDG as not a possibility with them, shame as living in Western Australia I have flown and seen these aircraft with QantasLink and it would be really good to be able to fly them in the simulator. But you never know PMDG may change their minds in the future. I am following the TFDi design version at the moment, I wonder how that will turn out?
  15. I have posted this question on the ORBX forums also, I want to get as much info as possible to assist me, Hi I am seeking some advice, I am about to purchase a GTX 680 4GB graphics card, I have narrowed it down to 3 potential cards. I am only using FSX mainly on the machine with all ORBX add-ons and REX Essentials, the CPU is a i7 3970x, my question is does the base clock speed of the GPU matter when it comes to FSX as the cards I am deciding on have the following 1. Asus - 1006Mhz 2. Gigabyte - 1071MHz 3. EVGA - 1111MHz Obviously there is a price difference between these 3 cards but I am trying to get as much performance GPU wise out of FSX, Any advice/help would be appreciated
  16. Ah looks like success on the ai for me, I copied the Prepar3D.exe and renamed the new exe. to FSX.exe and all seems to work 100% with my UT2, trying to figure out how to add my MyTrafficX stuff now as well. I hope this helps people.
  17. I have UT2 and MyTrafficX installed and I checked my Prepar3D cfg file and the simobject paths are all present, I have tried with the admin rights on all 3 programs and still no go. As far as I can see the FSInn aircraft sync is automatic when it starts up but it just flickers when I load the program. I have tried to see also in the pla icon on fsinn but there is nothing there. If you have any further suggestions I am keen to try anything to get the ai working. everything else seems to be working just no aircraft.
  18. Ah, thanks Finally worked it out, got it working but no aircraf t repos either, got mytraffic for prepar3d as well, oh well at least this is a positive step for vatsim on prepar3d. Thanks for your help so far
  19. Hi everyone could someone please tell me how to get the "launch on" instruction in the dll.xml file, i found the Copilot.dll file but not the other one. Thanks I saw in FSX that there was a Copilot dll-file added in the MODULES and a "launch on"-instruction in the dll.xml file
