  1. which in binary is 1000000100000000 .. disables 14 out of 16 cores (provided you have a Threadripper from AMD)...
  2. Hi, From My experience it was like that since V2.. but I'm speaking for me.. don't know if anyone else observed this behaviour.
  3. Actually it's more a "less-stutter" rather than "more fps".. honestly i'm not a FPS counter geek. I've observed more smoothness, but obviously it's subjective and experience may vary depending on user's system.. of course don't expect any miracle here.. Cheers.
  4. Hi all, might be a little out of topic, but I think it's worth to mention this little trick I found out which helps in balancing CPU load of P3d (at least it works for my setup I7 4790k @4.5 ghz ht on + gtx 1070 + win10 +P3d 4.1): I've noticed that once I fire up P3d, cpu usage on core 0 cranks up at 100% while remaining cores stays at lower usage. What I do is to change affinity of Prepar3d.exe process via task manager disabling core 0, confirm and soon after re-enabling it and confirm again, you will notice that now CPU loads is evenly distributed on all cores with consequent improvement in sim performances (more fps, less stutters). Did someone else ever experienced this? It's worth to give it a try I guess and it's free! Regards
  5. But.. If I didn't update yet from 3.3, once the hf2 will be released should I update to 3.4 an then to HF2 or will the hf2 be included into 3.4 full update?
  6. It's only me having huge FPS Hit when enabling cloud shadows with pmdg 777? I've got 4770k@4.3 ghz and nvidia gtx 770 with 2gb of RAM, and GPU usage cranks up at 99% all the time and fps goes down from 30 stable (I use locked 30fps) to 18-20 when cloud shadows are on, as soon as I turn them off the fps goes back up to 30... I fly NGX too and didn't notice this behaviour even with cloud shadows on fps remain stable in the 30s Of course I'm using P3d v3.. did anyone else notice this? Thanks.
  7. Just add them to your scenery library, pointing to the location where you installed the scenery (I.E. C:\fsglobal 2010\EU\.. \NAM.. etc..) I did this way and it worked. EDIT: Of course you need to put them in the correct order (before "numbered default scenery areas" according to ORBX advice). Cheers.
  8. Please note that i've got 60fps with comanche, i need to limit fps to 30 with the NGX. please find in the link below my settings, hope it helps but results may vary depending on your hardware/software. https://goo.gl/photos/g2FexD4oUdtk5NPb8
  9. Hi all, Since this seems to be a very interesting and "promising" topic let me share my p3d v2 "smoothness" experience here: the specs first: CPU: I7 4770 with HT @4.3 ghz on non-stock air cooler with 8 gb ddr3 @ 2000 mhz cl9 GPU: nvidia GTX 770 with 2Gb of ram. SIM Storage: 480 gb sdd SIM software: P3d v 2.5 with latest hotfix Active Sky Next Rex 4 textures + soft clouds. scenery addons: orbx ftx global textures and vector + openLC Europe package aircraft addons: pmdg 737 ngx base, a2a c172, a2a comanche. p3d.cfg tweaks: optimize_parts=1 and FFTF=0.01 Nvidia control panel settings: pre-rendered frames=3 Running with single monitor setup at 1920*1080@60hz (unfortunately my monitor does not support 30hz) I was able to get stable 60fps and smooth (as far as my eye can judge) with fps locked at 60 (v-sync being on or off doesn't make much difference with my setup) with the comanche departing and landing at london stanstead (egss) in daylight with fair weather even during turns and panning the view using fsuipc middle-mouse button option. BUT unfortunately 60fps stable in VC are a no-go with NGX for my setup, I had to set the limiter at 30 fps and I must say that even if the FPS remains stable only with some 29 to 30 fluctuations My "smoothness" perception is not as good as with 60fps locked (comanche). I will perform some other test removing the FFTF tweak and see what happens.. I'll let you know. feel free to make your considerations. Bye.
  10. did you delete your shaders folders? it might help.. you can find it under: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\ I you don't see appdata folder need to enable hidden files and folder. Are your display drivers updated?
  11. FYI I've Installed them and... rolled back immediately. The only improvement I've seen was in stuttering.. BR.
  12. quite an expensive fix i'd say ...and BTW sorry for the ot.. EDIT: adding my full name before my post gets deleted.. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Antonio Pazienza.
  13. Maybe LM should consider adding PAYPAL as payment option... <_<
  14. ...and for those who bought pmdg 777 for fsx? hope there'll be a strong price reduction for them (included me) ....
  15. Ok after further check i figured it out: The only things that doesn't wor is the animation of the master switch when pressed on the panel, but the function is activated, other thing is the flap that doesn't work with the default panel's settings ( i had to assign f6 and f7 Keys via spad). For the rest... WOW! this plane is AWESOME, you guys did a great piece of work! Time to fly now.. Bye.
