  1. The update for the Nvidia driver install will pop up in your windows updates but I never install it. I always use Guru 3d's DDU app to uninstall Nvidia drivers and this cleans the drivers and registry very well and without issues. If you just keep installing Nvidia updates one after another the registry and system folders get bloated with files and garbage that slows the performance of your GPU. Make your you select the right drivers for the OS installed in your box and make sure you always run any install as an admin (right click and select admin) to make sure the app or driver installs correctly. I hope this helps, Borderline
  2. The following are the steps that I follow and they work all the time, I hope they help you too: 1. Download the the driver from Nvidia web page for the OS installed on your box 2. Go to GURU 3D and download DDU Display Driver Uninstaller 3. If you are using Nvidia control panel to handle your AA and Sync and other setting write them down 4. Run DDU and select Safe Boot and full uninstall to fully clean and remove old video drivers. 5. Login in safe mode and DDU will run automatically, reboot and login with normal windows. 6. Run the driver install from Nvidia and make sure you select clean and full install. 7. Reboot, login again and then go to nvidia control panel to enter the settings that work for you. and that's it. 3. I apologize for the very late response. I'm currently using Reshade w/ Framework just to mess around with the Master Effect used in several games. You won't find d3d9.dll in my FSX folder because I'm using DX10 fixer, so when you run the Reshade install the setup will create the dxgi.dll for you when you select dx10/dx11 button to configure FSX in reshade.
  4. Yes it is worth it. Nights look black, days look bright. Make sure you use dxgi.dll and play around with the effects you can get lots of ideas from the sf lazy net. I'm using sweetfx 2 with reshade and the grand theft auto presets with some adjustments.
  5. Hello birdguy, I had the same problem on my 1st install and a reinstallation of the NCA gold exe will fix the problem. Select and activate NA region, run the installation again and you will see the 3 or 4 files that were missing from 1st installation being installed. Once installation is complete, apply and select FTX Global and reapply the latest library and that's it. KMRY will be fixed. I hope this helps.
  6. Hi golfguy, I intalled FTX Global a couple of days ago and for starters I follow the steps listed on their PDF file on how to install and configure it. Then I downloaded the 2 updates from their support web page, 1 file is the latest library file and the second a service pack. Install the service pack first and the library last. Crank up FSX and then as a starting configure your settings per the screens listed in the PDF file in the main page of FTX Global. Since you installed a ton of files it will be a great idea to defragment your HD or at least defrag your FSX folder. My PC is a basic barebones PC and the FPS I get are locked at 30 without any problem.
  7. Hello Newtie, Looks like you are missing the some of fx_# files in your Effects\Texture folder, it happened to me too when I removed an addon and for some reason it removed some of the FX files and then some files from the Effects folder as well. If you don't have a backup of your install you may recover the missing files by browsing the AVSIM Library. Just enter "fix" in the search box and look for the file "missing textures" or something like that and the zip file contains the files FX_1 - FX_5 that go in your Effects\Texture folder.
  8. I've seen it happen in class C and D airspace and it depends how ATC is handling the traffic and wind direction. I've seen get out of hand only once and the traffic controller ended up with a little mess in his hands.
