  1. No problem, I don't recall seeing it anywhere before so I am happy for the clarification and glad you're not sending any false hopes . Again, congrats on the release.
  2. Congrats on release! She looks beautiful! I hope whatever hurdles you're facing with Mac OS X won't perhaps put you off taking a look at Linux as its fairly similar. I know its even more of a niche, but yeah I would love it . No rush though, the publisher Paradox took some release cycles until it fully supported Win/Mac/Lin for day 1 release, I'll pay you $70 for it, oh wait....
  3. I am happy PMDG released the requirements, but I am wondering if there will be a Linux version?
  4. Sweet, thanks for the Linux update. I have waited this long and don't mind waiting longer, there are certainly options which will allow you to install on Linux as I know Aerosoft is using one method, but there might be better ones.
  5. I understand . Its actually bad programming if they use space just because its there, so I am actually wondering how we'll push it see with what we got. I would submit a ticket here: https://dovetailgames.kayako.com/Knowledgebase/List/Index/27/dovetail-flight-school I have not encountered any issues, so not going to have much to add. Send them a dxdiag if possible too.
  6. Spent 3 hrs so far, biggest frustration was the second lesson in the UK, but that was my joystick not centering (fixed the null zone). Still its easy on that one to run out of space, it can even fail once the instructor says how great you are lol, the sim continued to run. Even though I have been sim flying since the 80's there a few good bits and pieces with the lessons that seem useful.
  7. There isn't a whole lot pushing it right now . Some people reporting this in the forums, what have you done to try and fix the issue?
  8. Sorry if this is late, but has there been any testing or testers using Linux? Most products on X-Plane now run fine with few exceptions...Indeed having a blast with the Carenado 182 . The DC-6 is looking absolutely fantastic .
  9. That looks awesome, day one purchase. Hopefully it runs on Linux. I hope its successful, would lve to see a PMDG Connie
  10. Reading the quote and then the conclusion I think you get the true answer, "X-Plane has no future. It’s not a good sim, nor does it have a large enough customer base to make it worth our while." combined with " Orbx will be there for that since we are very close to the Lockheed Martin development team." That's the answer, they are both completely aligned and they cannot support another product at this time. All he is doing is spreading FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) for business purposes, lets not forget its not only the consumer market where they're competing, but also in flight schools. We need both, or as many as the genre can handle successfully and I honestly don't understand the partisan attitude amongst some consumers over which one is better, monopolies are bad for everyone even though this is pretty much what most companies aim to achieve. Personally I have room for both on my hard drive . Just got X-Plane 10 and I like it a lot, just need to stabilise it as it has been causing a BSOD on my Windows 7 machine with HDR selected.
  11. Taking the positive approach there is always the possibility of an 'enthusiast' edition being released, just needs to have the license worded right and that is what we're talking about in regards to each 'edition'. As for Microsoft, the only way I can foresee a Flightsim from them is to see Flight re-launched as an X-box title and that wouldn't be a bad thing.
