As we all know there is always plenty of new products, updates etc, etc to download for our hobby and do frequently use all of my 8gig allocated data so I probably do need to upgrade to a larger package so off I go to the telstra shop for a better deal. Thanks again Rod.

I thought I read 30gb on the P3D website? but as I'm completely mobile living on a sailing cat, (yacht) I don't have that much of a monthly download, may have to try and screw down the provider for a better deal. Cheers Rod.

Run the AEC section that comes with FTX-Vector as I had this issue at YMML running the AEC fixed all the elevation problems for all airports. Cheers Rod.

Hi, I would just like to know what the thoughts are on REXESS and ASN weather engine as I am using REXESS/OD textures only and ASN weather engine so should all the weather settings be unchecked in REX as to not create any conflict with ASN?, if you dont use REX weather engine does it matter?. Yes it happened to me today ND, FMC, autopilot all froze, plane still flew but around in circles same thing had to close the sim, before SP1 installed it never happened, hope someone knows why. Cheers Rod.

An old post I know but tried throttle stop and WOW, although it's a laptop (Asus G74S) which I've been running fsx on for three years now with pretty good performance with all the addons I could never rid the system of a rythmic stutter and some lag, now with throttle stop it's a completely different experience very smooth and completely stutter free with throttle stop set up as per the image by JordanChin, even with it set to high performance and with TStop active temp's have not risen above 80c, for me anyway, I'm happy now. I thank you guy's for the suggestions and I am surely leaning towards a scenery refresh issue that I'm getting as I have been through the running process's and found that most of them are already set to manual and my AV has been set to game mode and also excludes everything FSX so as mentioned above, which I have never had before, was to set ForceVSyncWindowMode=1 into the cfg.file and set 3D application controlled in NI instead of 1/2 refresh rate, then did a flight from AYPY to WADD in the NGX and I have to say it was 95% better, somebody may be able to explain why as I thought that tis would only be applicable for windowed mode and not full screen (I always fly full screen). I still need to do a few more flights with a bit more heavy scenery but it didn't seem to matter if the scenery was heavy or not. Cheers Rod.

Thanks guys, I will try the different vsync option and see how we go but I still think it may be a services running issue but unfortunately I'm really not sure what services to disable as I'm not really that computer savy when it comes to doing that, drago could you give me some idea as to where I might start? Hi all, I've been trying for at least 12 months now to rid fsx of this big stutter that happens every 30sec's, without going into it in a long drawn out blog I've tried every thing as per the guides to the tee, running FTXG, DX10 FIXER, all the bufferpool settings, clean installs on it's own drive, numerous fsx.cfg set up's and the list goes on without any change what so ever, the only thing I haven't done is autting down process's and service' that are running in the back ground as I'm totally unsure as to what can be shut down, could some one point me in a direction as to where I can find a guide to do this as a last resort to see if that can slove the problem, win7 64bit, thankyou. I have never had an OOM before but I have always used a bufferpool setting and a rejectthreshold, but I tried the BP=0 tweak and did find that my sim became much smoother with no artifacts instead of useing a Bufferpool setting but I have now seen a lot of I guess ding sounds at the end of flights advising me of a possible CTD, which has happened that never did before, so my question is, is it possible that BP=0 can cause this issue? How do I stop the display driver from being displayed twice in the cfg file? It only seems to happen in dx10 so if I delete it and reboot fsx it just come's back again so how can I stop it from displaying twice? Thanks.

As I had never got rid of my stutters and was putting it down to the install of ASN I finally spent four days doing a complete reinstall of fsx and all the addons, as I progressed through the install and trying to notice when these stutters appeared, completely stutter free sim with a vanilla cfg file, DX10, REX, FTXG, FTX Vector and then the exact stutter somewhere between REX and VECTOR started, still had not installed ASN, RC4, UT2 or any aircraft addons or airports so for me I can take ASN out for being the issue, for me the only thing that helps a lot is setting AF to 14, I know it sounds completely weird running a quad core with H.T enabled with turbo boost and not being able to disable H.T in the bios 14 is the only one that helps me, believe me I've tried them all 14, 15, 84, 85, 254, 255, 14 works for me. DX10 and NV set up to the "T" using PJ's how to guide. Cheers Rod.
