  1. Under tips: WARNING: Simconnect ERROR detected! Exception Received:1 What does this mean?
  2. Found it. In x86 Program directory, FS2CrewMaddog2020MSFS, DOCS
  3. Been looking in the usual places. Looked in Community Folder, but still could not find it. I assume it is in a documents folder somewhere. Looked in Documents. I do not have One Drive turned on.
  4. I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying the 700 in MSFS, and for a very specific reason. In P3D I had to keep layering 3rd party add-ons into the software. Scenery software, weather software, airports, traffic (which is one exception in MSFS - it doesn’t work well) camera add-ons…and with all of these I had to get into the file structure, and sometimes the registry, of my computer. Things just did not integrate well in regard to these add-ons. But Asobo seems to have performed a remarkable job in its native graphics and modeling, requiring less third-party applications. And, at least for me, the PMDG product has been operating perfectly. I look forward to returning to all of my PMDG planes this year; except of course, for the MD-11. But one mustn’t give up hope.
  5. Found it. You have to call for it from ground services.
  6. I purchased this for MSFS. It downloaded into my Community folder, and shows as installed in Content Manager. The jetway texture is there, but there is no drop down menu from the top, and zero documentation on how to use this add-on. Does anyone have this in MSFS? Would appreciate any info.
  7. I have searched the forums for help on my issue, and I may have missed something but here goes anyway. I am running P3D v5 with both the Aerosoft a321 and the 737 NGXu, When I added EZCAM to both of them, the cockpit view would jerk or spasm in VC. I resolved the a321 problem by turning off "views" in MCDU 3, but I haven't found that option in the 737. I can make the jerking stop momentarily if I double click my mouse, but in a few moments it starts again. Does it have something to do with 737's panning camera (global?) that loads upfront? Then you must push the space bar and hold the middle mouse button to get the same kind of VC view that EZCAM loads upfront (and you don't have to push the spacebar in EZCAM.) What I would like is to be able to use the EZCAM VC without the jerkiness, but I am not sure what to do. Has anyone run into this or can anyone suggest a solution? Thanks.
  8. Ray, I got it working! Dumb me - I turned my computer off and back on, then it ran makerways perfectly. I guess it rebuilt all of those files. Thanks for replying so quickly. Gotta go fly!
  9. I've looked at some of the other threads involving the "Bad Data" message, using makerways.exe, and reinstalling FSUIPC. I haven't found anything yet to help me, but I am not the sharpest tool in the shed. RC4 was working great with my Airbus X, then I decided to use it with my PMDG 737NGX. I also recently installed MCE, and when I ran MCE for the first time with the 737, it made me keep restarting until I finally got it to work. So its now working, then I put my flight plan from PFPX into RC, just like always. First I get the message "IPC Bad Data." Researching that message, I reloaded FSUIPC.DLL and FSUIPC.INI (I have the latest version). Then I try to run makeways.exe. The program tells me that it can't find anything - none of the rcv4 files it is looking for. I have no idea what happened. I have administrative rights. I would appreciate any input, as I don't won't to give up RC4 - it is a great ATC program. Sorry - running Windows 7 and FSX
  10. Someone may have already posted something similar, but if not, I want to thank all of you veterans for your service to our nation. Our flag flies because of you!!! This is your day - enjoy it.
  11. http://www.vanityfair.com/business/2014/10/air-france-flight-447-crash Titled "The Human Factor," this is a long article about the crash of Air France 447. It discusses what happened in the cockpit, along with the history of Cockpit Resource Management. I thought it might stimulate some discussion. I apologize if the article has already been posted somewhere in the forum.
  12. Not a riddle. Just a very weird series of events. I've had hard landings before( never this hard), but the skewing to the right (you could hear an audible gasp because many thought we were going into the grass) followed by a strong application of the brake which pulled us to the other side and no application of reverse engines until were almost stopped on the runway - I wonder if we blew some tires. Also, it is standard policy for Delta to open the flight deck doors, but they remained closed, at least when I was deboarding. "Typical Delta landing." That was funny.
  13. Was landing a few minutes ago at KATL on a DAL 737-900. Conditions were normal, no crosswind, dry runway. The plane hit hard, really hard. It was the hardest landing I have ever experienced. The engines did not reverse immediately, but we felt hard braking. Plane began to skew to the right. Felt a hard brake to to the left side of the plane. Finally, as the plane was beginning to slow, the engines reversed, but very briefly. It was six in the morning, and everybody woke up. Flight attendant begins the usual post-landing announcement, but she was breathing hard. It sounded like she was shaken up. Any guess as to what happened?
  14. I was flying from DFW to ORD. I had set up the fight plan on PFPX, which gave me the route plus RWY 28R. I requested the route on the FMC. When the route loaded, I received a message saying Rwy 04L/04R was not available. From that point on I could not load in any arrival information for KORD. There were no STARS and no Runways. I flew the flight expecting Radar Contact to give me the vectors to RWY 28R, which it did, but I could not Unpark the ILS frequency for 28R. The FMC said it was INVALID DATA. Any thoughts?
  15. Nice to have it in the summer when I've got more free time. Thanks PMDG - you are the best!
  16. This is great news. I have ASN, and it has delivered outstanding performance. Fighting through spring storms is going to be even more fun. I am counting the days to SP1.
  17. Tried to buy it on the company website. It gave me my order #, but it never charged my card or responded in any way to my inquiries. Too bad because it looked like a great program.
  18. Thank you so much for this link and the information. I downloaded the latest version (your link did not work, but it was easy to find) and tweaked my GTX 660 - it looks fantastic - so much sharper and clearer. Greatly appreciate it!!!
  19. Topcat performs fuel calculations for your route. PFPX was never meant to take the place of Topcat. It works in conjunction with it. But right now Topcat has not been updated to do the calculations for the 777. Have you never calculated fuel with Topcat? It's one of the software's primary functions.
  20. Unfortunately, ActiveSky cannot give you runway info-just weather.
  21. Does anyone if or when Topcat will adding T7?
  22. I have to agree with much that has been said. The power of the 777 is impressive, especially in the climb. It really seems to be a more automated 737. I have to admit, however, that i think I like flying the MD-11 more than this one, but I haven't done that much yet. I am getting outstanding frame rates and few glitches. The sound package is fantastic, and the FMC interface to make changes in the simulator is very helpful. I'm running a Navidia GEForce 660 card, and getting a nice result. As usual, the manuals are great, and I look forward to the advanced tutorial. I wish Topcat would finish the interface for the 777, but that is not PMDG's problem.
