  1. Was so looking forward to this Tennessee Flight.. All of the Tennesse Hill scenery is in and plane was ready and fueled up to GO!! arg!!. But can't fly today now as we are heading out in a moment to my daughter's for "Apple Fest" - Fall fair, (In Bowmanville Ontario, Canada) but hope to be there next week barring any family stuff that I am not yet aware and will be bringing the new C421 livery!). Ron made me a custom livery for one of my fav planes C421 Golden Eagle. Now hopefully a next Saturday fly.. (C-Norm LINK below if you have the C421 and want to see the custom paint or if you change your name to Norm-then it would be a perfect fit for you too!!!). (and PS: Ron does nice work, thanks again Sir Ronald of Locksley! !!) https://www.dropbox.com/s/00vve5y334fm6zf/Alabeo_C421C_Golden_Eagle.C-NORM.zip?dl=0 Have fun in Tennessee today guys.. Looks like a great flight! Norm
  2. 310 or 421 or vtail? Might actually be able to join today!. 1800 UTC in est? might be 1400 Eastern! Hopefully will see y'all!. Norm
  3. I am away this weekend but have tried to put together an easier way to get RTMM in: using master folders/files. My own "in the works" creation right now but hopefully it should help. All scenery has been pre-done and is setup. ORBX PNW is also required for this BC trip and note*: the RTMM elevations are based on the Orbx PNW Region elevations!! (Although this BC, might as well convey that for the Alaska areas covered by RTMM, RTMM elevations are based on ORBX PFJ, FSADDON Tongass Fjords X (*Note: Tongass requires mods to work in P3Dv4x-LINK http://return.mistymoorings.com/getting_started/index.php#9) and for further north, RTMM uses Orbx SAK elevations. (The RTMM Part: The RTMM Object libs are also required or every other RTMM addon scenery piece will not correctly display)* Now my "in progress" master file is a 3 Gig RAR file. RTMM Master: Link: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ap8x9gXrO-rJg55wkA5aegH_BlM5dA When extracted is almost 7 gb: containing every RTMM piece: all pre-assembled as it were: From all the RTMM libs, to every addon scenery piece, simobjects\Airplanes, simobjects\Boats, Effects, Gauges, AI traffic files (scenery-world-scenery-Layer) etc etc etc.. And including a mock scenery.cfg - with every entry pre-set up. Just a matter of cut and paste the folders to where you want them, - then update the path in the scenery.cfg to match your folder placements. Note: This works for FSX, and all versions of P3D incl P3Dv4x. That being the case, there is Master Effects folder: which contains a Universal/Common Effects Folder (all sims) plus separate Effects folders for specialized effects for use in either FSX, P3Dv1\2 or P3Dv3 OR P3Dv4x. (Use the correct in the Master Effects folder: All use the universal, plus the other effects folder which matches your sim version). Again this one file contains every piece of RTMM scenery and all supporting files.. You guys are in PNW in this trip: And scenery placement. RTMM goes ontop, Set your FTXCentral v3 as follows: FTX entries go below RTMM Libs 1-2-3-4 (If you run Tongass X - Tongass X in FTXCentral V3 goes between OpenLC and FTX so the FTX central v3 insertion points are as follows: Open LC entries go below Tongass_Lower_priority. Anyways, still a work in progress but pre-set up if any want try it. (Much easier than starting RTMM from scratch. Dl the file, extract to temp dir, Copy/paste the folders where you want the, and very easy to copy your scenery.cfg and add these RTMM entries- mod of the path to the folders and done. ( add-on.xml in progress too, but many scenery entries-almost easier to use the scenery.cfg but to each his/her own. Took quite a bit of work in obtaining every RTMM zip, extracting and pre-assemblng all the required RTMM folders/files. Hope this helps. Norm
  4. Very fun trip Josh. Thanks for setting up this excursion. Norm
  5. Baton Transfer made to Wingman enroute to VMMC: Time has been served. I now have the baton from VMMC - ZSSS in the SOH F7F-3 Metal
  6. Hope I get to do this and if able: Norm Richards (nbrich1 via online tracker) flying for team Avsim Sim: P3Dv4.4 Weather: ASP4 or FSrealWX Pro
  7. Started from scratch with Duenna today. From first install to run... (I'm just learning this). Had no issues after the guys helped me do the setup. Now just practicing.
  8. I have the baton EDMA - LOWI in AH F4U-1D Corsair - Black Sheep P3D, AS4 (Don't mind me .. just practicing!! ! - Just in case I have 36 hours or so free next weekend!
  9. Amazing work Gunter.. (Busy times but do hope to make it to Turkey next week if possible) Just want to take opportunity to say thank-you to all of you: you guys do great work on these trips and it is greatly appreciated. Norm
  10. Hmmm.. Both no AI Ships?. Man! If Steve used the xml method to set up the scenery check the paths. In Viking's case and if direct copy to simobjects/boats and to either P3Dv4 scenery-world-scenery for the traffic.bgl it should work unless something is corrupt somewhere. See email shortly that might help or not. Norm PS: As a note: the Leisure boats are what is referred to as LivingWorld boats: LivingWorld is the name of the subsystem in FSX and P3D that deals with vehicles additions, like cars, airports ground vehicles smaller/inland boats. The boats managed by LivingWorld have no schedules or known paths. They just moves randomly near coastlines and on lakes (almost like animated Autogen. The file that controls this is LWcfg.xml . It is in your C:\Users\yournameAppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 folder (hidden). It does all the random leisure traffic stuff including the road/freeway traffic, airports fuel trucks, baggage trucks, inland random boats etc.) BUT does nothing to drive your AI Ship traffic which is directed by the ships/traffic.bgls that go to your Scenery-world-scenery folder (or your other designated add-on folder - either directed by xml file or by an alternate entry on your scenery.cfg)
  11. Oh boy.. "18:30 UTC kick off" ?? >> 1830 would be 6:30pm UTC which might Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) (but we are very uncoordinated).. but that might be 14:30 ET which might be 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time (ET).. so mike don't be an hour late cause we aren't on daylight time right now!! Maybe... Help? http://www.timebie.com/ (And I might even have a chance to fly tomorrow if I can get the time right and don't have to baby sit!! lol lol. Norm
  12. lmao... for sure... So much for keeping track of time!. What time are we suppose to board the planes? 01:30 (1330) lcl ? Oh man! I better go on now and wait for the clock to tick.. then when all come on I'll know when we were supposed to meet - perhaps..lol
  13. Glad you posted the plan here Ron. (I'm not on your e-male list). Have been busy the last few week but might actually have a chance to join you gents in Scotland on the 2nd day of May. (whatever the time might translate to in the Eastern Time zone >> I guess 18:30 UDT is UTC so that might be @ 2:30 PM (14:30) EST (still lottsa smiles).. but I think I got the year right? Thanks Ron. Norm
