  1. I desperately need help with reinstalling FSX. I followed the uninstall guides, uninstalled all FSX related programs, eliminated all traces of flight simulator from the registry, UAC and anti virus/spyware are off, installing as admin, ran the license reset and the Windows installer clean-up but I am still getting Error 1309. Error reading from file: K:\program files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X\licenses\ client-issuance-ood.Xfm-ms. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it. I can't find anything else to try besides an OS reinstall which would be a BIG, complex deal! It gets all the way through but I get the error before I can enter the product keys. If anyone has solved this before, I would very much appreciate some guidance. Please help, I am experiencing severe Flight Sim withdrawal!
  2. I have decided to do a FSX reinstall. FSX is installed on a SSD separate from my C:/ main drive. I also have a separate drive (G:/) for scenery. I have lots of Mega Scenery Earth 2.0 states installed on this (G:/) drive. Is there a way to leave them on that drive and re-connect to the new FSX install?
  3. Do a clean install of my OS? You are hilarious. As I stated, it works on and off, mostly off. If you aren't going to support your product, please refund my purchase price.
  4. I have been away for several days and unfortunately, the problem is not solved. Even with the microphone set as "the default recording device", the programs ability to hear me is hit or miss; mostly miss! Same symptoms as previously stated. Josh Roberts
  5. Hi Brian I couldn't find a way to email you from the FS2Crew site, so I submitted a ticket (Ticket ID: HV7-278-EX99) with my email address. Thanks, Josh
  6. All settings are the same as when it was working. What would I be looking for? P.S., a remote session might save some time; just a thought.
  7. This is the only one I have access to. (just thought of this) I can hear my own amplified voice through the speakers. Is it possible that the audio is being sent to the speakers, and not the program?
  8. Yep, it's weird. Voice light stays on, occasional green "glidepath" or "e". Briefings and announcements work. Mute is not on. The microphone works for training, etc. ???? Stumped, Josh
  9. Hi Bryan I had tried the voice training, to see if it was the microphone on the headset. Voice training was working just fine. It's just on FS2Crew. I'm stumped.
  10. FS2Crew voice stopped working a couple of days ago. It starts fine but it cant hear me, no green bar when I speak. Occasionally I will see the green bar say "Glide slope" when I haven't said anything. I tried a reinstall as per the install instructions, but it still won't work. My microphone is working. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Josh Roberts
  11. I have the same problem with the same set up (FS2Crew, VoxATC, EFB, PMDG 737 ngx) . Please, how did you solve the SDK problem? It's driving me nuts!
  12. Thanks for putting the time and effort into this, it will come in handy!
  13. Hi Philip, It could be a coincidence, but after I did the clean-out, I was able to load a saved FSX flight plan through FSX and then load it into the FMS, but not before. I see one flight plan in the FPL LIST, a flight plan I downloaded from SimRoutes in FS9 format. It is yellow, at FSK 2L, and I have not been able to load it. The tutorial KLASKLAX flight plan, which is in the same folder, is not visible. The renaming of an FS9 PLN was a bit of bad advice I got from someone earlier on. Tomorrow when I have more time, I will try to create and save a flight plan with the FMC, and see if it shows up in the list. My FSX install is on a separate SSD from my C:/, and I had to install the Citation on the same drive to get it to load, as opposed to the default C:/ location. I'm wondering if this has any bearing on the problem. This has been quite a head scratcher. Josh
  14. I want to let you all know that the problem is well on its way to being solved. Part of the problem was an overloaded flight plans folder. At Ron's suggestion I cleaned it out and now, as long as I have previously loaded a flight plan, the FMC can load it. The provided FMC format plan still doesn't show up, but we'll see what happens when I save a FMC created one. I am very impressed with the excellent customer service provided by Ron. He contacted me personally, walked me through the set up, and stuck with me until the problem was mostly resolved. Thanks again to Ron of Eaglesoft. If I discover anything further that I think will help other newbies like me, I will post it here. Thanks for all the help, this is a great community. Josh Roberts
  15. Well... I followed Ed's suggestion. Created a FS9 flight plan on SimRoutes, Re-named it by the AAAA-BBBB_X.PLN convention, placed it in my default FSX flight plans folder, and gave it a shot. When I press FSK 3R, I get the dreaded "INVALID ENTRY", when I press FRM FS GPS, nothing still happens. I guess I can deal with this never being a "Hop in and fly" plane that can load saved flight plans, if I have to. I am beginning to resent the $50 I spent on a, at least in my case, not ready for prime time plane. I will endeavor to learn how to create flight plans manually. (I think I keep missing something having to do with ALT, the whole "nose dive shortly after takeoff" thing is getting annoying)! If anyone has any helpful suggestions, I'm all ears (as you can see from my user pic). If anyone thinks of a solution to the original problem, give me a holler. I'll be the one repeatedly crashing a Citation into the ocean off the L.A. coast. Josh Roberts
  16. The updated post has confirmed that I am using the correct procedure. I will try Ed's suggestion and report back. Thanks Josh Roberts
  17. Thanks for your honesty! I'll download a fresh copy of the plane, reinstall, and take it from there Josh
  18. Thanks pwafer! At least its not early dementia causing my problem (probably!)  My .PLN file was indeed different than the example in the link. I edited it, re-placed it, but still no joy. The FMC still does not find any flight plans, weather I have pre-loaded in FSX or not. I am beginning to think that my installation is corrupt. Does anyone know the structural difference between the FSX .PLN and the Eaglesoft FMC created one? It sounds like you, pwafer have gone through the same learning process with the FMC as I. When I get this working, I could learn from your experience as a FMC newbee. Any advice along those lines will be greatly appreciated. What I have been able to glean from the documentation, Googling, and YouTube is limited. P.S., the folks at the Eaglesoft product support forum seem to have given up trying to help solve my problem. Ron's last response was" If its not that, then I don't know". An unfortunat response, to say the least, from a representative of a commercial product.
  19. Thanks Robert, I will try it. Any idea how to get the Eaglesoft Citation X's FMC to be able to find it? (See initial post)
  20. Thanks for the reply Flo. I am using the flight plan provided with the plane. Its for a tutorial flight. This plane FMC is designed to read FSX flight plans. The problem is, it can't find that one, or any others. P.S., I have FSCommander. It cant find those either!
  21. I've been searching the forums for 2 1/2 hrs. but I can't find a solution. I posted this at the Eaglesoft forum, but you guys over here seem to be on it, so... I have been trying to learn the Citation X. I'm new to FMC's, so I'm using the example flight in the documentation. I have moved the provided KLAS-KLAX_X PLN to my fsx flight plan folder, but the FMC not only doesn't see it, it can't find any .PLNs. I press FPL, type "KLASKLAX into the Scratchpad and Press LSK 3R, and get INVALID ENTRY, or something to that effect. No flight plan. when I select FPL LIST, nothing. I can load it from FSX, but not in the FMC. I chose this plane to learn FMC based aircraft and I am hot to fly this baby. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  22. Thanks to all! Installing in safe mode worked.
  23. P.S., its stuck at NavData.dll, if that helps Thanks, I'll try it!
