SimBrief does 99% of what PFPX does for free and no need to worry about future subscription like with PFPX. I would never pay for PFPX

I am not a P3D user, but I still find it funny that so many people express some sort of disappointment or resentment for LM's customer service and/or the tick-tock cumbersome patching system when it has been clear from the get go that P3D is not a consumer/entertainment platform. So the convenience and user friendly nature of an entertainment platform along with the customer service, is expected not to be evident from a multi-billion dollar international defense conglomerate.

By Adam do you mean the author? I wouldn't know because I didn't see his name signed anywhere on the document, and thus no, I did not ask for permission. There have been plenty of folks here on AVSIM asking for the guide so I am simply hosting it for the community once again directly. I am sure an admin can sticky your links to the forum for everyone should you choose. Thanks. Thanks for the link and the guide. Considering how important this is to the FSX community, you should ask for it to be stickied in the DX10 forums here since AVSIM is a lot of virtual pilots go-to resource.

I think the font looks like a TUIfly jet. I don't like the cartoonish nature of the font but the paint looks good.

There is no fix for Windows 8. You need to revert to Windows 7.

I have KLAX, CYVR, and KJFK2 and I must say they are some of my fav airports, especially KLAX and CYVR. I got KDEN instead of KIAH but that one is next on my list!

Where did you hear that from? Regardless, I tried to cap it at 30fps and no luck

I wanted it to work so bad!!! So I bought it, installed it (no manual or instructions btw, but pretty straight forward) and ran it. Started up at KLAX and tried to fly to KONT in a PMDG 737 with most of the sliders maxed and a LOD of 6.5. Made it to TOC @ 5000 ft and then crashed at around 3.6gb of VAS.

Ok i got it and have been testing it, now I am going to max out fsx and try to break the 4gb barrier. I will return soon with results.

Screw it, for 12 bucks Ill buy it and try my "stress test" that is infamous for giving me OOM's. I will report back.

Hey Guys, I had the same problem, but try to go into the simulator options and turn on "splashes appear in daylight" and any other lighting options. Then it should work.

That's one of the million dollar questions. Will whatever "bug fixes" that DTG include in their Steam rollout of this product along with any multiplayer capabilities, DLC, etc be available to existing FSX product key holders? I am not going to try and guess at that one, I would hope so, but I dont know the particulars of the deal and if it mandates inclusion of existing FSX customers.
