    Hi All Getting delivery of a new machine Would you advise a p3D v4.2 installation or sticking with p3Dv4 for the moment I have downloaded versions of both available on a backup hard drive I only ask because presumably I could get all my AddOns -planes especially-installed with less hassle in p3D v4 then update to P3D v4.2 as more AddOns become v4.2 compliant Or bite the bullet and be careful with AddOns-checking compliance before installation xxd09

    Hi All I have an odd Orbyx problem-all my Orbyx Airports download Ok,Regions after 2or3 attempts and Global Vector download starts then closes FTX Central ie small downloads OK-big downloads problematic Other big downloads like P3D are OK Download speeds 600 KBs Is there an explanation for this problem xxd09

    Hi All I was installing P3Dv4 onto my system-Win10 I put it on one of my hard discs-F I note that it has installed on F OK but I notice that it installed without showing the folders Program Files,Lockheed Martin,Prepar3D. It shows as F: only -then lists files Autogen,Ecosystem etc-Is this a proper Install? Should I have used the C Drive? xxd09

    Hi Jim Thanks for replying Yes-did to the best of my ability! On rereading the Tutorial I noticed that I had started Active Sky first,then SkyForce then Sim Would this fault be enough to cause failure? xxd09

    Hi All Still looking for some advice ReInstalled everything but now with Win10 as operating OS Still the same problem-after5-10 mins P3Dv4 closes Will have to stick to Rex Texture Direct and Soft Clouds-unless anyone has some other ideas To me it seems the next step would be to get a new computer which is not unreasonable but would hate to spend all that loot and still have the same problem!

    Hi Nyxx Appreciate your thoughts on my dilemma with the active setting in AS I put up a post yesterday in relation to this point but no reply yet Getting 5-10 minute flights when using “Live Weather is Active “under WX Control then P3D stops! Custom Weather is great and runs OK xxd09

    Hi All I have a rig with a i5 3570K overclocked to 4.5GGz,GeForce GTX 970 4GB Graphics Card and 16 GB DDR3L 1866 UDIMM Memory This runs AS and SkyForce very well -except if I use Active Weather setting in AS I get about a 5-8 minute flight -it all looks terrific-and P3D stops! Frame rates are about 50+ Do I have to resign myself to not using Active Weather setting in AS , buy a better rig or is there anything else I could try? xxd09

    Hi All I have received a computer for P3Dv4 use with 1) a Intel i5. 3570K overclocked to 4.5GHz 2) a Gainward GeForce GTX 970 4GB Graphics card 3) 16GB DDR3L 1866 UDIMM memory The motherboard would take in upgrades 1) Intel i7 8700K 3.7GHz 2) a GeForce GTX 1080Ti 11GB Graphics Card 3) 32 DDR3 PC3 12800 Memory What would be the best way forward? What would be the best order of purchase? Any thoughts appreciated xxd09

    Hi Nyxx Thanks for these tips Flying Building Storm Weather setting out of Darrington 1S2 SkyForce is great but those “redraws”-ugh! Bit the bullet-got ASP3Dv4-more cash! Used your settings-DTX5 plus res 512 in SF AS also asked for Cloud coverage to be set to Max in the P3Dv4.1 simulator AS on and minimised,likewise for SF-P3D then started-seamless flight with all the Clouds,Rain etc out to 15000 ft and back!     Hi All My joystick and aerilons seem to vibrate/quiver quite often during flight Is this because Sensitivities are turned up too high? Not a real problem but a bit annoying! Anything I could try? xxd09

    Hi All I got Fairbanks X to work in P3Dv4.1-all seemed good-flown it a few times now combined with some RTMM AddOns-AI Traffic and BWEP . Well worth a try if you already have it Dutch Harbour not so good esp in winter settings but might suit temporary /occasional use. xxd09

    Hi I am sure you are right. I haven’t loaded the Flysimware Lear into P3Dv4-I am using the Extreme Prototypes version Flysimware Cessna 402 should be good to go with WX in P3Dv4 -if you want to try it I will wait for Beaver and Otter xxd09
