  1. I have to agree. I bought it, and had MASSIVE performance hits. I made some adjustments to the settings, and it improved some. The Seasons feature isn't working for me, but it is at least compatible with Active Sky. Here's hoping they make some real fixes in the updates, otherwise, I'll be deleting completely.
  2. I have an update. Carenado responded to my support ticket, asking for a video of the issues with the DA62. They claim they have not received any reports of the G1000 not tracking waypoints correctly, but also asked if this issue happens everywhere, or just certain places. Kind of an odd question, so I wonder if it isn't a Navigraph issue. I'll need to run some flight tests, and see if I can ever get the G1000 to auto-sequence waypoints, like it should.
  3. Agreed. I have most of the planes in the Carenado/Alabeo catalog, and so far, the only times I have seen this is when using a GTN 750 in place of the default GPS. But, even in those cases, it didn't matter because, well, GTN. I have already submitted a support ticket. My experience with Carenado says they will ignore it, since they've already released 2 updates. They tend to move on, and say 'close enough' at that point. It's just a shame their products look so darn good...
  4. Squak List: Fuel issues. Engines only draw from Main tanks, with Fuel Low warning, even though Aux tanks are full. Aux pumps Inop. Autopilot will track a flight plan, but the plan segments do not change when you reach a waypoint. The plane will turn to the proper course, but the magenta needle swings to point to the waypoint you just passed. FLCH Mode will fly past selected altitude. When you dial in a desired altitude, then select FLCH, the plane should capture the current airspeed, hold it, and pitch up to the desired altitude, with a green FLCH mode, and a white ALTS mode. This doesn't happen correctly. I own many Carenado products, and I am growing weary of paying to Beta Test their stuff. They always look fantastic, but perform very poorly. How hard is it to run a product through ALL normal procedures before releasing it?
  5. Thanks!! I liked that paint, but hated that it wasn't a US registration. Seems like that happens to me a lot with Carenado aircraft. The best ones are always foreign to me.
  6. The Rudder Boost switch is down above the FMC's. I don't know if it's function is modeled beyond the warning light, but there you go.
  7. Did you over-torque the engines? They modeled over-torque in the C90GTX, so I would assume they did here, too.
  8. Thank you, Bert! That altimeter setting always bugged me.
  9. I found, as long as I make sure the Nav source matches where I have the ILS freq tuned (Nav 1 versus Nav2), the CJ2 has no trouble intercepting the ILS, or flying the approach. I wonder if that's the trouble people are having, since the Nav Source selection is not intuitive.
  10. Good questions! I was on a flight plan, properly entered and sequenced in the FMS, from KBOI to KSEZ. I was descending into KSEZ, and had Drake VOR and JUWSO left on the flightplan. I was directed to proceed DTO JUWSO, while still 20 miles from DRK. When I selected JUWSO in the DTO page on the FMS, instead of turning 40-50 degrees left, the plane turned about 20 degrees left. It flew to a point between DRK and JUWSO, then, upon intercepting the line between the 2, it turned to fly direct to JUWSO. Based on the route the plane flew versus a true DTO line, I was about 15 miles off of what was anticipated by ATC. Out there, over the Arizona desert, not a big deal. Over a much more dense area, or airspace, that's a HUGE deal. I cannot quote the regs. What I do know is when a controller gives you a vector or DTO instruction, they expect you to be much closer than 10-15 miles off the assigned route. I didn't take any screenies or video, and I did not report it to Carenado. They haven't fixed the issue from previous planes, so I had no expectation they would with this one, either. Bear in mind, for the most part, I am very satisfied with the CJ2. I just know it isn't a study-level sim, so certain imperfections are to be expected and tolerated.
  11. I did purchase the CJ2, and I have tested the LNAV functions. I can tell you, with certainty, that the Carenado implementation for DTO is wrong. The implementation for the GTN 750/650 is precisely what the actual regs require. When ATC tells you to fly direct to a point, they do not mean around or near a point, as Carenado seems to think.
  12. Long-haul flight in the CJ2 from Yakima, WA to Sedona, AZ. Cruising at FL410 @404 KTAS with a 39kt tailwind. I took of with 80% fuel, 4 heavy passengers, and a gross weight of 12,396 lbs. No issues getting to altitude, and will have plenty of fuel at destination. Loving this little beauty!
