Can't get 1% low readings on my screen
Have used MSI Afterburner with Rivo for years. Always tracked CPU usage & temp...GPU usage and temp and my FPS. Tried to add my 1% Framerate Low to be displayed...and it does not come up on the screen. Screenshot of my MSI Afterburner properties attached if that helps. Any ideas of what I need to do to get that to show on my screen. Using MSFS 2024. Thanks

RTX HDR - WOW!!
Thought I would try this as I have the same monitor with a 3080...however when I clicked on the Game Filters, they are all greyed out. This is with the game running and not running. The screen does say I have Game Filters turned on but it gives me nothing. Any ideas? Garry

DF Switch...Escape Hatch Switch...FAQ
Just downloaded the update and getting ready to fly. I note the manual refers to a "DF Switch" but can't find that. Any help of finding the switch would be appreciated. Also note the "Cockpit Escape Hatch" Switch does not move. The hatch opens and closes but no switch movement. Finally, the manual has a hot link referring to FAQ page. Just took me to the home page but can find no FAQ there. Thanks. Garry

MSFS Auto FPS App
Fully agree on the dot points. One suggestion…don’t give a “noob” a choice. Just say to start the app before loading a flight (leave out the “preferably”). Garry

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
Minor I know, but with Captain Sim B737-200, the "secure aircraft procedure" has a completed reply of "aircraft secure, lets go home". The FO can't say "lets" nor "home" so all I hear is "aircraft secure, go".

Having the same issue with the new Flight Replicas C-54/DC-4 in FSX. I see that there has not been any post replying to this Skylane issue either. Thanks for any help.

+1 on the DC-8. If you go to the JF forum you will find my post of some time ago asking for support there. Please add your request there also.

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
Sorry...I don't think I have made myself clear as to what is happening. Let me try to clarify: "Normally, with FSX & FS9, MCE should automatically pick-up the flight plan you loaded within FSX (assuming it's default FSX (or FS9) format" That is exactly what happens, with no problem, when I start a fight. The flight plan is loaded in FSX, AS16 and MCE...and it is in default FSX format. "Eventually, try reloading flight plan while MCE is running" This is where the issue is. Somewhere, during the flight, while MCE is running, I will get a notice in the MCE UI that it does not have a flight plan. At the top of the menu bar I will see "KMEM to ????" (KMEM as an example only) and then when I click on the "ATC" tab on the menu of the UI it shows "Destination:" as "????" with additional "????" for "Cruise Alt:" and "Alternate". I then click on the "Get Flight Plan" button and it opens up a window showing the "E:" drive...where-as the flight plans are contained in the FSX default location on my "C:" drive. I then have to navigate to my "C:" drive where the flight plans are actually located, in the default FSX location. So my question is, "How do I get MCE to open a window where my flight plans are actually located, instead of opening a window for the "E:" drive?". I did not have this issue with my old PC, but it only had one drive, and MCE always opened a window at the default FSX location for the flight plans. I guess the other part of my question is why does MCE suddenly loose the flight plan when it has it at the start and through some time during the flight? Thanks,

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
I'm using FSX Native ATC...Not any of those others. I'm in FSX. Guess that explains why it didn't work. So how do I get it to look in my default FSX Flight Plans location instead of the "E" drive? Thanks,

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
Did a new PC build a little ago and since then if I want to assign a Flight Plan in the UI, it goes to my "E" drive to look. All my flight plans are in their FSX default location on the "C" drive. Opened up my MCE.cfg file to see if there was a way to assign where MCE would look for the flight plans and found, under "FlightPlansPath" that it was blank. So I typed in the path to my flight plans on the "C" drive, but MCE still goes to my "E" drive. Please let me know how I can get MCE to look in the proper directory. Thanks,

Have lost my "Passengers Boarding/Unboarding" Audio with the new Visser/Jahn C-47 v3. Have tried it with the aircraft's native pilot/FO/Stewardess audio on and off...no difference. Any ideas? Thanks,

Would love to see the Just Flight DC-8 series integrated with MCE. Have created some flows of my own for it but it is limited in what the FO can do so a lot of workload is left for the Captain. Thanks,

Monitor Tab in UI
Thanks to help from the FS++ team I have just dicovered the ability to set V Speeds by command and in the UI. But a couple of questions about some of the other items in the Monitor Tab of the UI under the heading of "Takeoff from: XXXX": What is "Mass (t) and do I need to do anything with it? Assume (dangerous word) it's for the GTOW in Tons...but is it short Tons (US) or Long Tonnes (UK) since it would need to be calculated from pounds. Is it important that I set the proper takeoff runway in the "Runway" heading...haven't noticed any issues when I don't Do I need to set the actual flap setting I will use for takeoff in the "Flaps" heading...again haven't noticed any issues. What is "Flex Temp"...do I need to do anything with it? Assume (that dangerous word again) that "Tran Alt" is Transition Altitude...what does that mean (transition to what) and do I need to set it before takeoff and what would it be. Can't find in the manual any explanation for these. Thanks for any explanations you can provide.

Patch for PF3, GSX, Q400 and CS 707
Very sorry...my bad...I'm embarrassed. I thought I had done everything (replacing the files and all)...did have V2670 showing after the patch install...but somehow, after re-checking everything, find the new "mccs707X.dll" did not get installed. Works perfect now. Next time I'll do the re-check first before bothering you all. This is great service...not only did you upgrade a minor item I reported but were immediate with your response to my mistake...thanks again.

Patch for PF3, GSX, Q400 and CS 707
Thanks guys...but I can't get it to work correctly. I'm running V2.6.6.7 and this is for the CS707-300 and the Window Heat. Here is what happens: If I say "Window Heat Low (or On)" it moves both switches 1 notch down...so if the switch is set on "High" it just goes to "Off" If I say "Window Heat High" it moves both switches 1 notch up...so if it is on "Low" it just goes to "Off" If I say "Window Heat Off"...it does nothing...although the copilot does respond and confirm. Thanks,

Dual Monitor Setup for FSX
flytriman replied to flytriman's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcOk...thanks for the reply. Was afraid this would be the answer. 2nd monitor still useful for 2d items so I'll make the most of what I can.

Dual Monitor Setup for FSX
Just purchased a larger monitor and thought I would try to use FSX with Dual Monitors (running Win 10)...but I have a question on how best to use what I have to get better Frame Rates. I have a Dell Alienware x51 R2 with a GTX 645 card. When I plug both monitors into the Video Card and bring up a 2nd window and move it to the other monitor my frame rates reduce by half (the same as if I leave the window in the main monitor). So I tried plugging the 2nd monitor into the HDMI port for the Intel video on the motherboard to see if using a separate video card would help the frame rates. However, when I move my 2nd window to the 2nd monitor it just goes blank and after a minute or so I get a "fatal error "message. So my questions are: 1. - Is there a way to run the 2nd monitor off the motherboard video driver with FSX (allowing me to put a 2nd window on that monitor) while keeping my VC on the main monitor? 2. - Will this help my frame rates if I can do? Thanks in advance for any help.

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
Understand on the door. You might want to put on your list of "like to have's" a separate command to open the Aft Door...otherwise fine the way it is. I'll check next time on the Wing Ice. I'm flying the 707-300 version 1.3. I would prefer to be able to choose as the 707 manual says to use low heat on the ground and just before takeoff switch to high. Thanks for the response...you people are great.

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
Thanks...I did see this feature in the manual but have not tried it yet. For now "Reverse Thrust" is just fine for me. Any insight for the other items I mentioned: Aft Door won't open Window Heat High Wing Anti-Ice Thanks,

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
Found the correct term for the reversers...was looking under the wrong area in the reference sheets.

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
A few items that don't seem to work correctly with the CS 707-300: When I ask the cabin crew to open all (or main) doors...the rear main door does not open. It will close however when I request the cabin crew to close all (or main) doors. When I command "window heat high" it shows MCE has understood the command (shows up in the red type), but nothing happens...window heat stays on low. When I give command for wing anti-ice, MCE understands it but nothing happens. Finally, on landing when I request "engines reverse" or just say "reversers" it only works about half the time. I'm thinking I don't have the command exactly correct. The manual only tells you to select each engine by number, one at a time (sorry would be off the end of the runway by then). What is the correct command for this? Thanks
