  1. Yes YoYo......we call it ShadowLine...it's coupled somehow to the view.....and only in cloudy conditions. It's part of the climaChange on earth.....against the future heat....LM is always a step ahead you know...😅
  2. I almost p...in my pants......😂Turn EA off.......it's what you have to do to see rain and clouds again
  3. The feedback came from Beau Hollis in Public Forum and where mainly related to layering issues (Water, Coastlines, Shadows and Reflections, Taxilines). They where visible very good in VR but count also partly for 2d Screen (shader issues by transferring\changing CODE from DX11 to DX12) Answers this your question Gerard? Or did you ment something else? I am only allowed to talk about those public topics. Marcus
  4. I your case I would still go for v5. You are able to influence the VRAM, CPU and GPU very well by using the in sim options. And we all expect some improvements from LM regarding a better VRAM management because lots of users had or have initial issues. V5 is just the up to date version and uses DX12...wich is promising for future updates. Don't hesitate to ask for further information if needed. The most community members are glad to help onboarding new users and share thoughts. The good and the bad ones sure. But I am sure you will have more joy on V5......and v5.X is still in development... Recent posts from LM devs over at their public forum stated that some updates are planned for the next release..... Marcus
  5. No. Not a single point. Rex does change the the non ea mode
  6. I see this exactly like Gerard already said. If your hardware is capable...definitely V5.... Marcus
  7. Thanks a lot for this excellent information! I haven´t flown the PMDG 747 for some months now. But I´m almost sure this is simulated. I recall I found this always a bit strange....now I know it isn´t....it´s not a bug but an important feature! 😉 Thanks Jon! Marcus
  8. The silence of HiFi must not be bad per definition. That's how I see it.
  9. I agree totally on these well known issues and lacking cloud depiction.
  10. Already possible but not always good depicted via weather injections. You can add multiple cloud layers via the custom weather settings in P3D already.
  11. I just edited....have a look after refresh your browser
  12. Hi Yoyo. I already covered reported issues and whishes here and in LM forum to generate consolidated input for the LM devs. Round about 15 to 20topics in total and prioritized a little bit related in how many users reported the same topics But if course everyone should feel free to report them here and LM public forum Just to inform you what I already did... Here are the some of them. There are more reported by me at LM 1) Red/Orange sky at dawn and dusk and even more heavy with foggy conditions (I think the number 1 complain at the moment) 2) Less grid pattern OR less repetitive clouds (Big complain from many users with point 1 together) 3) Less pixelated looking clouds 4) With view moving horizontal shadow line at OC conditions (reported many times, still in there. Huge complainfactor) 5) Heaving strong sunlight below thicker OC cloud conditions (especially when you are in the cockpit) 6) At dawn and dusk sun shine below cloud layer as the layer raises way to high up to the horizon 7) Delayed cloud ground shadows updating (stepwise instead of smooth). This counts also for the sunlight beaming at the clouds themselves... 😎 Fast moving clouds when changed weather is injected (big complain also) 9) Too strong moonlight at night. At least the ground and clouds do get to much lighten up from the moonlight (many users find this very annoying) 10) Better opportunities to inject different cloud models from each type! Smooth injections and transitions Additionally reported No fog at night PBR issues Precipitation hardly visible Thunderstorm clouds missing Lightning missing Building through fog and clouds Flat cloud layer instead of matching earth shape Scattering issues and configuration by user requested Even more Of course with good performance and better Vram management in mind! And to be clear. We have no idea what LM does with these and IF they get solved or enhanced. But I requested them via several channels also via public channel Also other devs are suggesting things mostly all already covered as per list above. Lets just cross fingers LM to listen to us. I've put hours effort in this. And this was only possible because users expressed themselves here and at LM public forum. Let's see if this works. If yes....I will try to manage future requests likewise. BUT user should always make themselves clear over at LM public what they would like to see. It's very important and you YOYO saw how willing LM is to help you out. So they do listen to us if reported properly and respectful. Marcus
  13. That's speculative. Nvidia is taking care already. And we all so not know what else they have to prioritize or take in count. Some bugs go even further. MIcrosoft OS could also be a partner to take care of things if this goes beyond Nvidia. And on top of that.....P3D is a niche product compared to much other games in the gaming industrie. I can not share your view on this.
  14. LM is aware of this. But as this is a nvidia driver I assume nvidia is also involved. And that could take a bit time. So I also suggest to roll back to the prior version.
  15. The LM forum has become a responsive Design with better mobile breakpoints to perfectly fit to several mobile devices with different screen sizes.
  16. Thanks for your reply Kaiii3. Great idea. Would be a benefit for me to reduce load on my end but only if necessary.
  17. @Kaiii3 Is there a possibility to use AIGFP in a good combination with reducing traffic based on FPS via FSUIPC? Because that functionality is great and does help us users a lot controlling and maintaining stable FPS
  18. Oha....that's important information. As I use this great function too to maintain 45 FPS for vr usage. I was already tinkering to switch to the new AIGFP way. But this I will postpone now a bit. Thanks for sharing Ray.
  19. I am pretty sure Ray. I have seen this over at their forums. But they do not publish it. But I agree.....PBR can be done effective and looks stunning.
  20. I even have a excel changelog for ALL changes and updates I've made with timestamp (datum).
  21. No. But the dev does deliver non pbr version at your request. If I recall correctly....must be a bit caution here 😉
  22. I agree on you Kevin.. But even the quoted part above relies on a gentlemen agreement (which raises a lot of expectations on a user sight). Even "point-releases" can mean major efforts on the supplier (3th party) sight. And normally "support" is a very expensive "service" at software and services generally! Very expensive! 15% to 20% annual fees are very common! Do we pay them? 😉 "We" flightsim users are claiming support most of the time for free and as I said before......the boundaries between support for issues, enhancements and even updates are very soft (for most users not even existing). As far as I know there are no Support "agreements" with SLA for QW Ultimate products. Their is no defined response time, no promises and so far and so on. So a user has simply not the right to make a statement like "lacking support". Because there is no "Lack"....as "Lack" is not defined. This does NOT mean I have no expectations about QW-Support. I have them and they are very low because I know what to expect. I can´t claim anything! Simple as that. This support-thing should really be taken with a huge word of caution! Example: LM does NOT offer ANY support per EULA (Cap. 6). Do you think users know that? Read the forums how often they are claiming LM does not answer support questions.....or other questions as well. Just 1 example. In flight sim the whole support thing relies on expectations and they are very very wide and undefined. 😉 Marcus
  23. Hi Ray. You can bring vram usage down by disabling high resolution pbr airport clutter in their Config tool for KMIA. This saved a lot of performance too bad decreased Vram also
