Regarding the more or less 'terrible' foreign accent voices in the basic model the lead dev stated a few minutes ago on discord that there will be an option 'to turn them off' in the next build.If that really happens: 👍

Compared to SI one of the biggest showstoppers of the current BATC are the terrible "local accents".of the basic voiceset - In a previous build the option just to use plain English voices was there (see https://beyondatc.nolt.io/54) - in the published version(s) this option is gone...why?

The 'stuck on updates' bug (yes, it's bug-logged by Asobo, they are trying to fix it) IMHO has nothing to do with the count of addons installed: In my installations (which were working perfectly in this regard PRIOR to SU12 final; even the VERY last beta build loaded tons of addons without problems!) the bug appears sometimes with 20 addons, sometimes with 200 or 800. It's inconsistent. All proposed work-aròunds are NOT working reliably here. Anyway: It's important that the "vote" count here https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/after-su12-stuck-on-searching-for-updates-with-more-than-1025-items-in-onestore-folder/582584/210 goes UP. There more people complaining in the official forum, the higher the priority on Asobo's side. And...if MS recognizes that this is a gamebreaker, priority might even get escalated even more.

Very unlikely. MET basdically works like a Man in the middle attack (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man-in-the-middle_attack ) - it intercepts the map traffic from MS server's and the client (your MSFS 2020 installation) and injects google's satellite tile data. I can't imagine MET is granted any license by Google, Mapbox etc... That's also why MS "forbids" the use of MET...

I'm still using 5.10, which works perfectly fine under current SU10b4. Tried the 6xx versions until last friday - didn't notice any advantage for me...

My original still works fine, so I was just testing - yes, with a 3 foot (1m) cable. But I will search sources for a really short spiral CAT 5 (which I most likely will have then to crimp by myself.) The big river only has relatively long (+3 foot) spiral cables. In any case - it's not something I worry about: Just important to know that the original cable CAN be replaced easily.

Answered my question by myself: It IS a standard LAN cable (with RJ45 crimp connectors). Just plugged in a CATwhatever, and it worked.... @CFIJose: These not so old telephone cables have a different, much smaller connector called RJ10. They WON'T match mechanically.
