Hello, I just got back into flight simming after a 12 month brake and lot of things happened. I ran DX10 fixer before so I wanted to get back into FSX with DX10 again. But right after installing FSX and new version of DX10 Fixer I ran into this: IMAGE: http://i.imgur.com/k4zNvGF.jpg Can you see the (FSX default) sky sort of banding? Just look at the sky pictures and see.. also I dont know why but the ground textures at FlyTampa LOWW are duplicating and they are all rendered in block patterns.. I shoud say that I have FTX Global Base / Vector / Europe LC installed too. I tesed DX9 and it all works ok. I never had this issue before (12 months) ago with DX10. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Members, since i bought a new p3dV4 rig and monitor, i struggle with some settings. At dawn/ tusk, it seems like banding in the sky and cloud textures occures /increases. The problem is only with p3dv4.1 other games or content looks stunning. Now looking at colorgradients in the sky looks awful it seems like the outside textures reduces to a few shades of grey when it gets dark I tried everything from switching between RGB to 4:4:4 to 4:4:2 8bpc 10bpc 12bpc Full and Limited. I can´t find a combination that looks like it looked in fsx on my old system. The VC is fine and i didn´t notice problems on the ground. System is: i7 8700k stock,1080ti stock, Win10 no HDR enabled, 4k LG B7Oled via HDMI. Software: p3dV4.1, AS2016, ASCA, Orbx, TrackIR, PMDG, Fslabs, Majestic HDR in P3D is off, DL on Maybe someone of you had the same problem. I don´t have pics available on any URL so can´t provide them right now. sorry, would be easier to figure out what i mean. thanks for any hint. Kai

I've been experiencing an issue, specifically a visual artifact in the sky (banding) as per the screenshots below. I've started observing this since v2.4 (no issues in v2.3 and earlier versions). The artifact tend to be more pronounced than what is depicted in the screenshots. The resolution is set to 1920x1080x32 in both Windows and P3Dv2. Any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. I should add that this happens with both default sky textures or with REX4 textures, but I'm convinced the problem isn't related to the textures.

Hi everyone, Slowly working my way through Paul's excellent tuning document, specifically the DX10 part. Have set up the basics as far as page 21 and am now test-flying. Have started to notice several graphical anomalies, some of which are new and some of which were there in DX9 mode. Would really appreciate some help or pointers on where the root causes are likely to be. I've attached some screenshots at this link to help illustrate the problems. Brief description of each below: I'm using ORBX PNW and test flying from Anacortes (ORBX payware) in Alabeo Extra 300 and RealAir Duke B60. Also using REX 2.0 Essentials and EzDok Camera. Pic 1 & 2: Have noticed the runway textures flash noticeably when viewed from any camera other than the virtual cockpit. It's as though the ORBX texture is fighting with the default / REX texture underneath and they can't decide which one should be on top. Strange how isn't doesn't happen from the VC though. Have unticked runway textures in REX but not sure, as that the have been loaded once, if this unloads them. Pic 3 & 4: Doing setup with clear skies as per the guide. Have noticed in any tight or moderate turn that I can see the sky being shaded at the extremities of the screen. Surprised as my hardware has handled some pretty heavy weather in the past that it seems to be struggling to keep up with a plain blue sky!? Pic 5: Momentarily, when switching from an exterior camera back to the VC, I get this weird effect on the windows and instruments. In DX9, I sometimes got everything 'greyed out' while the textures loaded, but not this. Only happens in the RealAir aircraft. My hardware spec: i7-2600K @ 3.8GHz / Asus P8Z77-V / Corsair AX850 / 8GB Mushkin Redline 7-7-7-24 / GTX580 1.5Gb / HyperX 120Gb SSD / Samsung F3 1TB / VelociRaptor 300Gb (FSX) / FSX Acceleration / Win7 64 HP Any thoughts gratefully received!!
