  1. I listened to each and every Q&A about this issue because it is one of the most immersion killing bugs to me and it heavily affects my hometown rendering live weather basically useless in the area I live in. Only in one of the last Q&A sessions they actually separated (correctly) the icing vs. snow coverage issue, before they always considered it to be the same. And it took them more than two years to reach this point... It might be hard to fix, but that is not really my problem, no? It is an essential feature of the sim (live weather) which is simply broken since they introduced snow coverage. Should be enough of a priority, no? It took them several attempts to get at least those lakes free of ice, already this is just an embarassing showcase of problem solving at Asobo. Really, sometimes bad work is just bad work and it certainly does not help if we always defend Asobo because things are sooo difficult to fix, need sooo much manpower, soo much more data from the meteoblue partner etc. It is a major DESIGN flaw that needs correction. But then, if 90% of the people are using weather presets or simply to word not allowed/stupid to even notice, why blaming the devs, no? /rant over
  2. The problem is, this one airfield in New Zealand is just representative for vast areas all over the world. So nothing to do with clickbaity, just with ignorance of some users (or inability to realize the issue...).
  3. No issue? Your screenshot shows everything covered in snow, which is completely wrong. No wonder so little people report issues with snow coverage if they consider such things as "no issue" *facepalm* Excuse me if I sound p*, but I am, it is absolutely ridiculous that the snow coverage is bugged since snow was introduced into the sim and still not fixed. I mean, the Q&A even clearly shows that those three evergrinning guys are still not 100% aware about what the issue actually is, a fact that is hardly acceptable and again leads me to think if any at Asobo really ever USES their own freaking sim...
  4. Today I started the sim now for the third time and it continues to show me two or three content manager updates. The last being Nordics - Points of interest. Why cant it just show me all available updates at once?
  5. Would be already sufficient for me if they would finally fix the bugged snow coverage...
  6. Well, if you would have read what we were asking for, you would not have provided this link. Or please point me to the point where it is written what was updated in all those WU packages I downloaded after the installation of SU15 from the content manager? It was about 16GB (or even more) of updates not mentioned with a single word in the change log you linked...
  7. Which is again rather strange approach by Asobo, no? I know they tend to think their customers are stupid horns, but still some patch notes would be nice...
  8. This update was a special one: as usual, I unticked all addons in AddonsLinker before firing up MSFS. To no avail, always stuck on «checking for updates». Then I simply ticked all addons again and off it went, found the update and downloaded it with max. speed. Strange, somehow unticking one of my addons seemed to block MSFS from being updated. Never had this before with any of the former updates...
  9. Found the bad guy: DELL Peripheral Manager. Installed it to use the webcam from DELL. Has an option to use such overlays, activated by default. How I hate such tools...
  10. My update is stuck on "Checking Application state... Deleting old version..." What can I do?
  11. Sadly both options did not do anything. I use the Logitech G Hub software, there is no such option available. Also all settings under "accessibility" are turned off, both sound and visual indication. Yet this annoying scroll lock overlay remains...
  12. Will check both, thanks for the ideas
  13. It might be, but which one? Not so keen to uninstall and test which software it might be. Opentrack? Beam Eye Tracker software? Who knows...
