(We require that all users sign their posts in our forum....THANKS!)The quality of the VC will improve dramatically when we all upgrade to FS2004... The clarity levels will be similar to those that exist for other airplanes in FS2002... The limitation is really a function of what you can do with the VC in it's current format....As for stuttering- yes memory will ABSOLUTELY help you! Thanks for the compliments!

Billy-in our tests, we've found that memory is perhaps the single most important factor for stutter-free performance (not that CPU or graphics card aren't important, of course!). You'll suffer the most, though, when FS starts paging out all these huge scenery textures to hard disk...

I could not agree more, that is why with the new DELL XPS system that I am ordering, I am going for the mother of all RAM and getting 2GB of it. Yes, some will say I don't need it but when you run mulitple progams at once, you can use all you can get.

Eric-I envy you. Here in Athens, I couldn't add more than 1GB to my machine, as the mobo I have only has 3 slots of 333MHz DDRam. However, to get the desired 1.5GB, I'd need single-sided 512MB sticks, which don't quite exist over here... (or can be REALLY expensive). On the other hand, the mobo accepts only two double-sided 512MB sticks hence my max of 1GB.Cheers,

Lefteris I think myself, Eric and everyone here evies you for having the 737NG hehehe I only have 512MB and it does me..I sure could do with 1GB or 2GB and a faster CPU when I am redering scenes from 3DSMAX lol

I have to agree that at least 512 megs of ram is needed for stutter free spot viev movement. The only thing to really boost your frame rates in flight sim is a faster CPU, a new video card with a slow CPU won't do anyone much good compared to what they have. Lucky for me I live in the heart or computer country (silicon valley) and can find anything I want and cheaper than other areas.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Clayton, First thing you need to do is to add your name to your posts to comply with the forum rules set by PMDG, they and (we the active forum members) like to know who we are talking with here, makes it more personal. I found the easy way to do this is to add it in your profile tag, set it and forget it!I run with 512 but more is always better! Flight simulator is a system resource hog, so if you can afford it and your MB can handle it sure go for it! As to running the 737 NG, i'm more than confidant that 512 is enough.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Hey, I just had a quick question... While playing FS2k2 I always notice how hard the VC is to read (like altitude, speed, even the ILS bugs) anyways, I was just curious as to whether or not your VC will be easier to read crucial information like that. P.S. - I am constantly amazed at how great this product looks... keep up the amazing work!thanks,Billyoh ya. Another question a bit off topic but I figured I wouild ask anyways-- I have a AMD 1.2, 256 PC133 RAM, and a GeForce 4 Ti4200 (128MB)-- My question is that while playing FS2k2 I notice that when switching to views like Tower and Sopt plane it take s a while to load and starts studering on the FPS. I have a decent video card and I dont think my processor is that old yet, so do you think that a increase is RAM might boost that problem and maybe add some FPS?thanks

Is the virtual cockpit descent yet? :-wink2
