Should we keep checking today for the patch?

Featured Replies

I saw that quote too and have been checking here every half hour as a result of it, LOL. It doesn't look like it's going to happen though... it's getting pretty late. I'm betting on a new "at the latest" date being issued sometime soon. :(-Shaun

I hope it still comes out today - the NG itself was released pretty late at night if I remember though... wouldn't give up just yet.Ryan

Despite being a patient man...believing anything other than a lightening strike being too convenient to happen is getting just so hard.Especially when it's being used as just another excuse. Lefteris stated one more day-that was an extra day from what you guys had promised.I for one am getting tired. Today for the release or I'm getting a refundRegardsJohnhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk 650Hours ;)P 2.53 GHZ512 RAMWINXPGFORCE 4 128MB Ti4600http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg

John-now what kind of "Threat" is that? Today for the release or you're getting a refund? We're doing our best. We haven't SLEPT normally for the past 12 months. Rob's PC got fried not ONCE but TWICE. That's unfortunate. We kept backups, though, so it wasn't the catastrophy - it was just a delay of setting up a new PC. We're sorry that you THINK we're trying to con you, but, believe me, delaying the patch is NOT something we like. Now PLEASE lose the attitude. PLEASE.

Guys: Rob's machine is running. He has a new post up. If the patch works, we will see it later today. We're making progress. Keith Whyte

John-Ah! John from Virtual BA! We've exchanged email in the past of a similar tenor, have we not? ;-)At PMDG we are pretty candid about our business. From theft, piracy, investment and development process- there isn't much that we won't discuss if the conversation is conducted in a mature fashion. Those who have interacted with PMDG during the past 5 years know that I'm pretty candid about things- especially when it comes to explanations to help a customer understand what is happening with a bug, a program problem or an upcoming release. If I elect not to release a patch because I feel it isn't ready- there is absolutely no reason to "make up a story" to justify it. I simply say, "i don't think it's ready." Thus- when I lose multiple machines in rapid succession (one while conducting a re-install) I find it best to be candid about the reason behind the delay it causes.Sure- I could simply have passed the work off to another PMDG member and allowed an incomplete patch to be issued- but then someone such as yourself would tear me down for that too...So with you I won't win regardless of what I decide, John. I recognize that already.Therefor- I am going to keep doing business in support of those customers who understand what I have just written.

Patient......Don't make me laugh....I'm sick and tired of comments like yours!Bj

PMDG Team,Don't let a few "children" cloud your opinion of most of us out here. I for one know from experience with your company in the past that when the patch is ready, it will be issued. And when it is, it will be well worth the wait! Keep it up and know that most of us appreciate the hard work and HONESTY that this PMDG has ALWAYS given to the FS community.George Stoddard

Count me in. Being an IT professional myself, it seems we always get the short end of the stick. No matter what happens (good or bad) people still hate us. Can't live with us, can't live without us. Oh well! Keep up the good work Robert and the rest of the PMDG Team!

Thanks George for representing certainly the way I feel. I will not speak for anyone else, although I believe 99% of us honour and respect PMDG.The other 1% of us probably ALSO honour and respectPMDG - I mean, sometimes it *IS* just hard not toshoot off when you are so looking forward to aproduct coming good. I have typed off in angerbefore in message boards - regretted it later, but hey - we aint all angels all the time :)I hope all good people come together round PMDG,I'm ready for some good virtual flying with allmy friends hereDominicEDIT: darn, I did speak for someone else whenI said I wasn't going to - well... all the bestto everyone whatever your views!!

Dear Team, take your time to make the patch ready! For me, it isn't a problem to get the patch some days late. I have great fun with your stunning aircraft! By the way - do you have any estimate, when the other -700 Liverys will be ready? Iam looking forward to get that Hapag-Lloyd Express Livery... Regards,Matthias HoheiselHannover / Germany
