November 11, 200322 yr Richard,In past conversations with Robert, the main problem with doing a PMDG Airbus is the lack of information from the folks at Airbus that we'd need to model the necessary systems. I believe we have contact's within Boeing that have been helpful in the early stages of design of our 737NG, contact's that we don't have at Airbus. It has been discussed, but unless we get the required information an Airbus based product from PMDG is unlikly. http://www.precision...GX_Dev_Team.jpg PMDG Graphic Designer
November 11, 200322 yr I would suggest going b744. Maybe, for the first time, I will be able to share the excellent of the systems, with the great scenery browser MSFS is, and "forget" about PS1...
November 11, 200322 yr Well, I'd really love to see a PMDG triple seven...edit: for MSFS ...Best,Martijn
November 11, 200322 yr No plz don't do an airbus. This has been done, and done well (better with the patch coming) by PSS.Also don't do do the 767- to be completed by the new 767 PIC ver 2The ones than NEED to be done I believe are the MD11,777 ( I think PSS said something about redoing a 747 and 777). The MD11 has never been done to the point of payware quality. Unless ppl want the steam driven planes done there really isn't many airliners to be done. The CRJ is being completed by a company as we speak. I am a HUGE 757 fan and hopefully the 767 PIC ver 2 will do something with this. I would say do the MD11. Highly overlooked plane. I bet it would sell nicely due to the lack of interest by payware companies with this plane.
November 11, 200322 yr Too late guys......I think the popular concensus here is already in favor of a 757.... :)
November 11, 200322 yr I would go with777747-400757in that order...the FS world is crying out for a decent big Boeing. Although I love their Airbus, the PSS 777 and 747 are very poor I think, especially compared to the PMDG.So often I see great ATC coverage in the USA on VATSIM and I fancy starting out a longhaul trip but can't face entering the PSS widebody cockpits!
November 11, 200322 yr MD-11 is probably the best choice. The Boeing line gets more attention than anything in MSFS! The MD-11 is part of the Boeing company, so they would probably have all the necessary information to make the project work.A pay ware MD-11 with panel, overhead, FMC, and those nice female RA call outs and GPWS. I realize iFDG released their really nice free ware model, but the panel choices, among others, leave a lot to be desired.Chris - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
November 12, 200322 yr Hello PMDGI think the MD11 would be the best choice for PMDG. It is a Boeing plane (now) and it would be a long range plane after the 737NG for short and medium range. Additionally, the systems are quite different from those seen in Boeing and Airbus. No one has done a realistic simulation of this beautiful lady before. ;-)It would really be great. And I think there are enough people with knowledge, beside the guys at Boeing, who could support this project. So PMDG: You could try to do something that has already be done in a different way before (A32X,A330,A340,B747,B757,B767,B777)OR you could be the first coming up with the last long range airliner ever been built by McDonell Douglas and set a new milestone in the FS community with it. Just imagine --->http://www.airliners.net/Airliners_net_ima...=404706&ViD=bigAnd that would be your working place --->http://www.airliners.net/Airliners_net_ima...=154907&ViD=bigI know you are still working on the -800/900 for th ND and the BBJ/MIL as well. But before you make any decisions just think about what the other users and I have said about the MD11...YoursMartin Pauli
November 12, 200322 yr Right on Martin! I love the MD-11, it's my favorite plane. So much of the MD-11 differs from Boeing or Scarebus, and it would add another dimension to MSFS.I know the excellent team at PMDG is trying to get this 737NG out as fast as they can, and I can't wait for the complete product, 800/900 and all! I also think that PMDG would be the best company to make the MD-11, and I would pay good money for one.Chris - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
November 12, 200322 yr I think PMDG have their hands full with the current NG project. :) Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
November 12, 200322 yr Hi John, believe me I know the team is busy with the NG and will be for quite some time. I don't expect another plane from PMDG in January, or even by next summer for than matter. I just think it's a good idea to make some suggests long before the current project is finished so PMDG have time to consider what their next step might be for the future.I have to say that PMDG has released an amazing product, and I KNOW the finished 737NG 600-900 series will be something I get full use out of simply because it's pretty much all I fly right now, despite it's shortcomings (pre-SU2). The NG is a very popular plane for FS, as I see a lot of people on various forums talking about it in a good light. I use the NG in FS2002 with UT and ActiveSky. As far as add-ons are concerned, I have the DF734, PSS A320,PSS Dash-8, 767PIC, the FSD Cheyenne and Commander. The only other planes I really like are the two FSD GAs (with Reality XP GPS) and the 767PIC.I just think in overall terms, PMDG would make the best MD-11. PMDGs flight dynamics and strive for realism shows that there the best company for a project like this. Even another Boeing plane would be a hit.Chris - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
November 12, 200322 yr I would also put the MD-11 on top of my wishlist, but is it that known and popular worldwide to give it a good commercial value vs production costs ??A state-of-the-art Airbus would be great as well. Everything that is on the market right now leaves A LOT to be desired. And if connections to Airbus might be needed, then just ask, I'm sure there are simmers out there that know people at Airbus ....;)Mike
November 12, 200322 yr Ok, I see the situation. I too would love to see an MD11 as it has never been done and it is a fantastic aircraft, quite unique too. Although the NG comes first. keep up the good job guys!
November 12, 200322 yr I would love to see a good payware chicken ceaser salad.....mmmmmm...I'll be right back. Eric
