A few questions:do you intend to continue improving the 737ng, or after this patch it goes to its doom alone?I think after all the effort you put in it, it does deserve something more then this if this is your plan.a more aggressive question: why i always read about PMDG's fame for best customer support, i almost never see any topic with an answer from a PMDG developer. The most answers are the ones saying "please sign your posts with your real name sir", no technical answers, no chime-ins on debated matters... I hope this was due to your absence. It is a bit strange to see that 99% of the support in this forum is done by experienced users willing to share their knowledge, rather then from the developers.I may understand many questions are repeated times and again, but eventually this is your work. What do you think? Thanks.

Well, this is off topic for this thread, but I just had to ask two questions.First, "...goes to its doom..."? Are you refering to the development of the BBJ at al, or are you predicting some sort of negative effect of the coming update (details of which are yet to be released AFAIK). The doom-word feels a bit strong for a product that works pretty well as far as I

Hi Claudio,Roger on the "doom" bit ;) Personally I think there always come a time where a product stops being tweaked when looks at the business side of payware, but we still can look forward to the BBJ with HUDs and other interesting things.I couldn

Arthur->Lots of other developers are using>different payment methods, like bank transfers or PayPal which>I thought are even safer as creditcard payments. But who am I?>Just a guy eager to get his hands on the 800/900 upgrade! ;-)I've spent a significant amount of time studying various forms of payment that can be integrated into PMDG's system.... From a pure risk-management standpoint, transactions that connect directly to a customer's bank account carry the most risk. The risks are infinitely small- but they are many times greater than the risk associated with caredit style transactions....So... we are as concerned with our ability to control customer transaction data without a third party (paypal, for example) being able to obtain any of the data. We hate spam/tracking as much as you guys...

Captains-As you know, we are deep into the development cycle on the PMDG 747-400.... More information on this spectacular airplane in a short time, but...At the same time, we are also bringing a few extra goodies to your existing PMDG fleet. There are currently THREE product updates nearing completion:UPDATE #1:==========NAME: PMDG 737-800/900 Cockpit Model UpdateDESCRIBED: Customers who own the PMDG 737-800/900 have asked if it is possible for us to update the Virtual Cockpit models on the 737-600 and 737-700 to match the significantly enhanced functionality that we shipped with the 800/900. This update will do exactly that, and allow users the full VC interface that they have become used to on the 737-800/900. This file will update the 6/700 VC models for those customers who own the entire line of PMDG 737s.COMPATIBILITY: Only for customers who have both 737-600/700 and 737-800/900 installed.COST: NoneETA: Within Days.NOTES: It is not possible to build a similar update for individuals who do not own the 800/900. It will not be possible to run this update without owning the 800/900.UPDATE #2:==========NAME: PMDG EXPRESS B1900D SERVICE UPDATE 1.1DESCRIBED: We have collected a series of updates for the PMDG EXPRESS B1900D and put them together into a single integrated update to enhance the flyability and control of this airplane. Updates includes enhanced engine/prop models, LOC tracking and various other minor fixes.COMPATIBILITY: For all PMDG EXPRESS B1900D customers.COST: NoneETA: Within DaysUPDATE #3:==========NAME: PMDG 737-800/900 SERVICE UPDATEDESCRIBED: This Service Update will include a number of updates and bug fixes to eliminate most of the commonly experienced problems reported by customers after delivery. This airplane will feature permanent solutions to inadvertent engine failures, electrical system failures and other assorted items reported to PMDG.COMPATIBILITY: For all PMDG 737-800/900 customers.COST: NoneETA: July '04We will post an announcement here in the forum when each of these updates comes online for you to download! At that time we will also post a comprehensive list of items that are fixed in each of updates...For the most part, these updates are already completed, we have a bit more work to do on the 737-800/900 Service Update before it will be ready.... Look for some PMDG 747-400 information coming to this forum soon! (And yes- we are as excited about this airplane as you are....)

Claudio-Ah, having PMDG answer all the posts completely misses the point of the forum!Unlike many organizations, we run a free-post, moderated forum. We do this in order to promote the free interchange of conversation so that we can give/receive help to/from customers, and customers can give/receive help to/from each other. If we required that PMDG answer every post, it would not be possible for someone to come to the forum and receive nearly instant support from other individuals who in many cases are know as much about the airplane as we do!(As an aside, we've seen 50,000 posts in this forum in the past 12 months- and at two minutes per answer- that would take a single person working 40 hour work weeks 41 weeks and 3 days to answer! As it stands, our PMDG Support team has answered just short of 19,500 email in the same twelve month period.... So, yes- providing support and customer assistance is a big part of PMDG's day to day operations!)Now- as for whether or not the 737 is "reaching destiny," I'm completely at a loss for where this assumption came from...Spend some time around our forum and around the team. You'll find that we almost never stop expanding the horizons...Sorry if you find the constant reminders to adhere to the forum rules to be "acid." The rules are there for a reason...and everyone is supposed to read them before posting... ;-)

John->The Service Update for the 800/900 will include an IRS? I>believe that this was promised back upon initial release as it>wasnt possible to include the IRS at that time...Not in this update... this is primarily a fixer... It will not expand functionality... I'm not making guesses for what will be included in future updates yet... too early to tell!

You'll>find that we almost never stop expanding the horizons...Mine was a question: since there has not been any announcement about new features, or big upgrades, and people inquiring about IRS or BBJ or whatever (like maybe my fuel panel?) are left unanswered, i was asking just this.>Sorry if you find the constant reminders to adhere to the>forum rules to be "acid." The rules are there for a>reason...and everyone is supposed to read them before>posting... ;-)Again that was not my point: i was referring to a very specific case, noting that the only answer in that thread by a PMDG member, was to acidly (so all the more irrititating) remind to sign the posts, not giving any answers no the problem posed.Hope to have clarified my position.

Claudio-Your criticism is based upon a very very small sector of experience. Spend some time here- learn from the forum and you'll see what i mean. The old timers here will tell you that few development houses spend more time engaging customer feedback than this group- in fact we have been known to completely change products based upon input from our customers that was received in this forum.Another piece of the puzzle you are missing: After nearly 20 months of continual development, tha majority of the team took some time away to rejuvenate and recharge for the final push on the 744...Yes- in spite of what you might think- it is important they we take time away and everyone was encouraged to limit their PMDG time to the greatest extent possible... That we know of, it has not caused great distress or angst. So, welcome to the forum. Spend some time reading and getting to know the forum and the PMDG team before you pass judgement on us- and we'll do the same for you....

AGREED!Been here from DAY ONE... and I gotta say that PMDG folks and beta testers are one of the greatest support I've ever seen...REALLY.

Best regards, Fritz ESSONO

Me Too,Just one great team. BTW Claudio, if they were spending all their time answering post, they would not have time to do the very development work you are asking for. This is a great team and good forum "most of the time" (grin)Bob

I too truly appreciate the effort the PMDG team has put in.

Great news about the updates, but I'm missing a word about the latest liveries?Any date picked yet to release those liveries? (like the Pegasus and AB/Dreamliner)Paul
