While it is true that the PMDG team doesn't answer a lot of questions, I still rate them as being the best outfit in terms of customer service. For one, this forum has been around for so long that a lot of the new questions have already been answered. For example, questions on the IRS and the BBJ has been answered and dealt with over and over again. Another thing is that the 737NG is so good that a lot of real world pilots and mechanics hang out there and they frequently chime in with answers as do most other customers who have a very good knowledge of the 737NG systems after leaving their girlfriends and divorcing their wives, and locking themselves away in a room flying only the NG. :)But the real reason why they rate number 1 in my book is because PMDG is the only commercial developer I know (and I haven't dealt with all of them) that has:1. Hassle free installations.....I can no longer install my FSD Navajo without jumping through hoops by emailing FSD and begging them to please release my liscense code so that I can install.....while receiving email basically admomishing me for reformatting my drive, or reinstalling windows. I have finally given up and deleted the Navajo from my hard drive.... On the other hand, I have been able to install the NG with zero hassle every time.2. Does not say those dreaded words: NO NEW FEATURES WILL BE ADDED. Yes, very famous words indeed uttered by .....well you all know who. However, the other developers who do not use them still operate by that mantra. Therefore PMDG is the only one [i know] that actually adds features that are requested by users. If they haven't added a requested feature yet, its because they haven't found a way to implement it accurately, but that doesn't mean that they're not trying...................which reminds me.....I've been requesting that the FMC coffee button be installed to that when I push it it makes my coffee for me. This is the third time I've mentioned this. Could you guys hurry up and put this feature in please. :) :)Anyway, although they're antzy about signing names and once in a blue moon someone gets a little hot under the collar, for the reasons outlined above, they still rate as having the best customer service in my book. And if you do a search for my posts, you'll realise that I'm not one to kiss butts (I don't even have a PMDG banner in my signature).....I only give credit where credit is deserved.

Definetely agree with your consideration Anthony, I don't if you can find another developer that make planes like the 737Ng and have a forum like Pmdg?I can't...and I've been around for a while now.David

Please folks stop sucking up to PMDG now, they make great products that's for sure but that's what they make their money on and just like all the rest of us they also make mistakes and have their weaknesses even though you sometimes get the impression it's not allowed to point out any such in this forum. Can't honestly remember that PMDG just even once confessed a mistake...but maybe that's because they never make any...?Why don't we just end this thread right here and now and invest our time in something more rewarding...like flying :-)Wishing you all a nice weekend, both PMDG staff and everyone else!

goody goody:-)

Surprised at the comments on support. Most of the people in my VA fly the PMDG 737s and are extremely happy... and everyone's waiting with breathless anticipation for the 747 to be released. I get the impression that the vast majority of PMDG customers couldn't be happier. PMDG's the most professional payware outfit I've dealt with anyway.

I'd like to know whether something has been improved or fixed on the PMDG 737-800/900 MAINTENANCE STATUS BOARD item 006 ,007 ,and 008.ITEM 006: SPOILERS FAIL TO ARMITEM 007: SPOILERS FAIL TO DEPLOY ON LANDINGITEM 008: UNABLE TO CONTROL SPOILERS EFFECTIVELYThanks.

Returning back to 737-600/700 I have only two questions for PMDG.Was it said when 737NG was announced that 800/900 would be FS2004 only? Was it said 800/900 would be FS2004 only when 600/700 was released?I bought 600/700 hoping that I would be able to upgrade it to full 737NG in FS2002. Suddenly I was faced with the fact that 800/900 would be FS2004 only and therefore I was unable to upgrade 600/700. Now I am stuck with 600/700 in FS2002.Regards,Nejc Brelih

They did make a mistake once - that was when they thought they had made a mistake.Andy b

Hi to all!I would really like to know if the bugs with the RADIO ALTIMETER will be fixed... 1 - In the EFIS / MAP panel if you choose BARO for DA (wich is GOL Airlines pattern) you only have a green bug in the altimeter, which it's not correct,in the real plane you would have a green altitude indication just below the altimeter, indicating the decision altitude set.Take a look at this pic : http://www.airliners.net/open.file/596175/L/Note the 4479' MDA set in BARO just below the altimeter. (Green) 2 - Also, will the bugs in entering a parallel holding pattern be fixed? Sometimes, depending on your heading, when the plane should perform a Parallel Entry, it becomes totally lost in the HOLD, going outside it, then turning backwards and after about 4 or 5 turns it would be adjuting itself in the correct pattern. Totally unreal !!No more complaints! The PMDG NG 800/900 is just GREAT, and it really helps in the REAL training !Thanks !! See you!

Hi there everyone. I was just discussing with one of my friend about the missing maximum pitch angle indicator in the PFD on the PMDG B737NG for FS2002 whenever the flaps are extended. I tot I was having some eyesight difficulty and it really seems to be missing. I think that this is in common with all BOEING aircrafts/Please look at http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=5173...atic=yes&size=LLooks at the two yellow thingos on in the PFD in the ADI section. Here it is again when the flaps are extended but on a B747-400, the PFDs are the same thing! On both the B737NGs and B747-400shttp://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=3792...atic=yes&size=LThey look like little yellow "wings"In the SAA case they are a pair with one just above the 20 degrees "ladder" scale on the ADI in the PFDI guess another long awaiting issue that cannot be corrected is the frame rate issue. Also how come the engine displays are combined with the Southwest configuaration with the American Airlines one? The ENG and SYS buttons do not work. How do I check the moving surfaces? But overall your B737NG panel is still the best payware panel out there today!
