Sorry but i had to ask....

Hello PMDG,and sorry but i really would like to know when we can expect the B747-400 previews? and eventually, approximatively, when will it be available? Thanks a lot.

I doubt you'll get the type of answer that will satisfy you.Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpgMember of SJU Photography. As soon as we get a beta we'll post some teasers ;-)

Depends on what will satisfy him. I just posted a screenshot of the main panel in one of the threads below, but as for official previews on the homepage- it'll be a while. Over time, we've learned our lesson about prematurely previewing things, especially the exterior model. So we want to make sure the model and textures are up to PMDG standards before we show them. Unfortunately, there is no time frame for that. Between weddings, newly born babies and 737NG updates, there's a lot going on behind the curtains at PMDG. But I can assure you we are all working hard on the 747. I know this might not be satisfying, but for now it's the best I can do.Stay tuned for some announcements from Robert. Those will surely be satisfying. :)Sincerely,

Gents-Yes- we have PLENTY going on behind the scenes at PMDG... But we've turned a corner this week and now the entire team is focused only on the 744... (most current NG patches due out this week)I'd imagine you'll start to see some preview images later in the summer. It has taken us a bit longer to get 100% team focus on this airplane than we would have liked- but the progress rate has improved dramatically during the past week! With the entire team focused on the airplane now- we stand to make some exciting progress during the next few months...This is probably the most exciting project we have undertaken to date- so we really expect to set a completely NEW standard with this one... Start studying the manuals. ;-)

Sounds good Robert. I already have a very big 747 manual :Daaargh, can't wait a few months :(

Robert, I have an idea that will help prepare us for the 744, get people to stop bugging you about when it will be released and generate some cash for you before product release. You could offer the 744 on a pre-release purchase plan which would offer the following:1. All customers who buy the 744 before the release date would be able to download it the day before it is offered to the general public, thus aiding in bandwidth issues.2. All customers who buy the 744 before the release date would be able to use the 744 full motion sim at the United Airlines Training Center in Denver in order to train and prepare for the official PMDG release. Of course use the full motion sim would be unlimited to all pre-release customers.3. All customers who buy the 744 before the release date would be given unlimited trips to and from Denver by United in order to use the full motion sim. 4. After completing 200 hours of full motion sim time, the pre-release customers would be given 10 hours as PIC in a real United Airlines 747/400 to further prepare them for PMDG's release. Since this is the only true way to fully prepare one for the release of such an advanced aircraft for MSFS I think that this is an equitable plan for all involved. Robert you can feel free to use this idea in any way that you see fit! :-)Thanks for your time and understanding!Philip Olsonhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

I understand why you have not released any preview or progress news, but what I would have been with out was the comments about watch for 747 news coming soon...That has been said ever since you returned Robert, and as you might know, my nerves are in a thread right now ;-) I have been checking the forum and website 6 times a day now since you posted your "I'm back" post...I am glad that you have made good progress, and that you are back, but I would rather like you said expect some previews when we are clear on beta testing in ultimo summer...That way I would not be checking this forum 6 times a day in hope of something that is not due until August...No I am NOT #### (Edit: i can't write what you call a female dog anwhich is also used to describe a complaining mood) guys, I am just tired of all the trips to this forum with no result...I sure hope this post doesn't sound too negative, because the very thought of your 747 empowers me, but still I feel that I have been disapointed by no new previews/info on the 747, and I guess that's all I have to say :-)Boaz...

Hmmm, why would I need to go to Denver for full-motion SIM, if there is one just around the corner :-) :-) and one doesn`t even need to worry about all these "pax-related call-outs and procedures" as it`s only one for the >>> F R E I G H T E R <<< ;-)Ohh yeah, books also on hand ;-) Mind you, still be interessted in the t-shirt, but only with the condition of having it "XXXXL" as it comes with the plane - "wide-body and big-mouth" ;-)Cheers,Norbert - CLX001www.virtualcargolux.org

Boaz, with all due respect and understanding to yours and others eagerness, but do you really think that you
