August 26, 200421 yr I believe there are at least 10 topics like this one in the past pages of the forum.... about once a month.. :D IIRC most requests were for the 777 and 757. Bye, Luca Luca Benelli PMDG & WX Radar? read here
August 26, 200421 yr "I was itching to start some speculation as if the nextbig thing was going to be something in between ... or ....different."Ok you want somthing diff! How is this for a change...How about lets say....Eurocopter EC-130, McDonnell Douglas 500E or even a Blackhawk.Big ol jets are cool and all, but I feel a helicopter would be a first....Put out your two hands and count how many GOOD payware helicopters you can count.....*lets everyone try and count....So how many? 20? 30? 0?if you guessed 0.. your right. I am both a fixed wing and a rotor wing fanatic. or how about an osprey? best of both world's... fixed wing/rotorcraft! but thats my 2 cents... and usualy my 2 cents don't get looked at, but hey thats ok :0)If I knew how to model and make gadgues I would atempt a helio, sure, there may not be that many rotorheads out there. but there are enough check out this site...http://www.hovercontrol.comIs posting to other sites allowed? I forgot.. guess i will go re-read the rules... again! :0)Anyway thats all I wanted to say.
August 26, 200421 yr A decent 777 panel which can be used with the meljet 777. So hard to find one, and the pss 777 panel does not display gauges :-( Brent Lewis
August 26, 200421 yr I would like to see a 777. I feel we need to fill the gap between the 737 and 747. THis would allow us to have a 'family' of equipment for different stage lenghts. It would top it off in my opinion.Cheers.
August 26, 200421 yr At first I said 7E7, which Boeing has not decided if that is the final name or not. I went to an Online chat with the Chief Engineer of the 7E7 program and he said the displays will almost be like the 777s. But I remember back to two planes that almost have identical cockpits. The Boeing Twins (757/767) would be nice to have, and will be in service for a lot of years. Also they have common cockpit so it would appeal to a lot of people. I think the 727 is a little to old, besides Captain Sim has done a very nice o'mage to it. Of course there is the "Red Headed step child" nobody likes, too bad to becuase I do really like the MD95/717.So my picks in order are after 747:1. 777 - The Princess of the Skies2. 757/767 - The Twins would cover two planes3. 7E7 - Would be higher but too little known4. 717 - Great plane nobody loves5. 707/727 - Too Old, but still graceful, expecally the 727 Jhan M. August 26, 200421 yr Hi,what about a 737-200. This could be almost released as an express model.Would be even more cool to have a FMC like the advanced -200s.Or maybe we better let the guys first do their job on the 747 and all the patches after the release. :-)Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
August 26, 200421 yr >You people just don't understand wat lefteris is trying to>say!!?? ;)>Beleve me, they won't tell you anything....>And about that CRJ project, Wilcopub. has a great CRJ and>there is comming some other payware CRJs aswell.I understand exactly what he's trying to say. And I'm sure he understands the compliment I was paying him, which was the point of my post.As for CRJs, the existing project that you point to doesn't even begin to register on my "acceptability" scale. I don't care a bit what the aircraft looks like. I do care a) how it flies and :( how well the systems/panel work. If they aren't close to the real thing, it doesn't go on my computer.I'll have a look at the one Martin points to.
August 26, 200421 yr if PMDG makes the 777 i don't think I'd use the MelJet 777 anymore (as much I like the GREAT work which has been done on it) Luca Luca Benelli PMDG & WX Radar? read here
August 26, 200421 yr Guys,Just my personal opinion, but this thread has no purpose. It's like asking who will be President after Kerry! Be content with what you have, long for what is comming and enjoy it when it arrives...
August 26, 200421 yr That's true. In fact, let's all prepare for the PMDG 747-400, since we're still working hard on it. Once the 744 is out, we'll start discussing potential new products.Cheers!
