No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Yeah it's not even in beta yet. And I will have TONS of stuff to check, suggest and whine for ;-) before it's even close to a release canidate.Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. http://www.precisionmanuals.com/frames/747400_new.htm''Where does it say "Soon to be released" ?Regards,Brian J. Doney''it says it ALL across the top buttons Brian,Coming Soon,Coming Soon,Coming Soon, take a look instead of accusing ME of not looking in the first place ! and accusing me of being impatient, thank you,Steve.

uhm... you sure seem to be impatient... Have you read all the (many) threads around the forum about the 747.. the answer has been always the same... "when it's compelted" almost all forum users accepted this answer because they (we) know that it will be a GOOD 747. I think you didn't read them and just posted your question.. From my point of view this is acting impatiently.... Happy landings, LucaEDIT: "coming soon" doesn't mean anything... and if you look at some other aircrafts around it surely will be "soon"...

PMDG & WX Radar? read here

I don't see "soon to be released" anywhere on the page, this forum either, hmmm.

Brian Doney

I can see where it says that :)Jonny

Do a search on the forum here, and you could probably find a thousand other posts just like this. All saying it'll be released "When its complete"Come on guys, give these guys a break and let them make one heck of an aircraft! :)

>I can see where it says that :)>>JonnyDo you mean this thread ? Could it be that this is the only place ? ;-)

Brian Doney

Steve, et al-With an eye to lending an "offical" position on this, let me add a few words....It is well known (and documented in the FAQ/MUST READ thead at the top of the page) that PMDG does not publish release date information. The reasons for this are described in that FAQ/MUST READ (that i'm certain you all have read....*cough* *cough*)You will notice that in numerous places around the PMDG website, the aircraft status is listed as "Under Development."I'm not certain how anything that we have done is described as "teasing." Our updates have been factual and described the products status as "Under Development."Projects like this, when done correctly, can take upwards of 14,000 man-hours.Our approach to this is: When we are close- you'll know based on the Beta Team's comments- and the information presented by us in this forum.....I think we'll stick with that policy for now- it has served us well in the past. ;-)

PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM

You can find us at:  http://forum.pmdg.com

Capt. RandazzoYes, this policy has indeed served you, but above all, us customers very well. Whenever I fly "commercial" in FS9 it's in the PMDG 737s. My other commercial jet addons are gathering virutal dust in the hangar.Of course we're all all impatiently waiting for the 747 and now MD-11, but I firmly believe it's far better to not post any realease date "guesstimates" and just let us have the product qwhen it's done than publiching a relaease date and then either having to push it back due to unexpected last minute issues or even worse roll out an not perfectly airworthy plane. In short, just keep on doing what you are doing and how aou are doing it, because you are doing a more than excellent job!
