June 13, 200520 yr Tricky to find enough time during working hours to sneak home to do some longish flying. Here a shot taken during my extended *cough* lunchbreak.http://www.zulu1.com/pmdg/747qs/beta/pmdg747_spectacular.jpgMore to follow before the weekend...;-)Jerome
June 13, 200520 yr I am very excited :) sorry for being so greedy can I see a shot of the 2D overhead panel. Please I just want to see how good it looks. I have a thing for all those buttons and knobs :)
June 13, 200520 yr Author I'm away on a trip until the end of the week. If you go over to the PMDG site, you can actually see a night shot of that panel...take a look here:http://www.precisionmanuals.com/html/747WU_1.htmI'll post some more shots before the weekend and hopefully a lot more before Monday morning...time and work permitting.Jerome

Both>analog and 'glass'. ;)Hi Michael,Hmmm....I haven't spent that much time with her yet, suffice it to say though that I did get a very definite impression of the VC cockpit being very very smooth...in my opinion even very noticeably smoother than the NG. Same holds true for 2D I feel, though most of my time today was in VC.First impressions always count they say... ;-)Jerome

June 13, 200520 yr Randy,Is there an option to adjust VC gauge "smoothness"? Or not needed? :)I have been patiently waiting for the VC gauge "nut" to be cracked by the exceptionally skilled programmers around here. Real Air proved it could be done and I'm looking forward to PMDG's approach. Thanks Jerome for the PIC.PS: One of your screen shots Randy includes the IDENT page from the FMC. One entry has me stumped. "Spare Engine Active". I can't find any reference to such an entry in PS1 or Bulfer and Gifford. I assume it is an airline specific feature (PMDG:))? That line usually contains the operating software Date and version stamp. Thanks again!Bob... Bob Prince
June 13, 200520 yr You can adjust both 2d and VC gauge rates. Umm could that be for those airlines that carry an additional engine strapped to thier wing? Not sure have not looked at it yet ;DKLAX + MEGA etc Manual landinghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/119522.jpg
Randy J. Smith
Randy J Smith
