He's saying that they're not going to release the plane until everyone on the beta team is satisfied that it's ready for it. June 22, 200520 yr Author Commercial Member Matt-The MD11 production is on-going, but obviously slower than the 744 at this point. Bill Grabowski and I spent two days meeting with Boeing and conducting a number of tests in their simulator at Long Beach two weeks ago....It's coming along nicely. ;-) Robert S. June 22, 200520 yr >Thanks for the info, Robert.>>By the way, do you have a release date yet?>>Regards>>ChristianDid you miss the second sentence in his original post? ;) I'm sure if they had a release date they would have told us by now.Robert, thank you for the download size update. Like was said above, 60 megs isn't bad at all for a package this complete.
June 23, 200520 yr >60MB?! For a package this complex that's incredible!!!>>How do you do this? :-)Mark,You took this sentence out of my mouth, how do you do this?. LD-767 download is above 170 MB, Flight1's ATR is almost 150 Mb so how come PMDG can deliver comparable (allegedly) functionality and detail for less than half the size. June 23, 200520 yr >It's PMDG magic!>>>:-lol:-lol:-lol:-lolOne more question though. How big will the package be once it's installed?
June 23, 200520 yr Now now Mike, to paraphrase advice given by any responsible doctor: It doesn't matter how big your package is, as long as it is as functional and bug free as possible! :-lolSorry I couldn't resist...Mark Mark Adeane - NZWN

June 23, 200520 yr They've said that it will be framerate friendly so perhaps the small size of download is an indication of the techniques they've used to keep it detailed, yet small and therefore framerate friendly (I hope :))
