FS9 747-400 bonus pack

>For this reason, I also do not feel compelled to apologize to>those who have attacked us as "not supporting our customers">or "not supporting our products" or "greedy" because we>elected to include a free update for customers loyal enough to>purchase both versions of this product. Is there any plans to release the FS9 update as a standalone package? I consider myself a loyal customer, I have bought everything from you apart from the 1900C and the 747 FSX. The update would enhance the 747 and 747 Cargo I have purchased. I do not want to buy the FSX version as FS9 suits me very well at the moment and the 747 FS9 is a fantastic addon. I can understand the improvements/updates when making the 747 Cargo version availible and also the 737-8/900 which updated the 737-6/700 but these were for the same platform ie FS9, not cross platform which not everybody hasPlease don't deny the FS9 user base (who dont use FSX) the chance to enhance what is already a fantastic product.RegardsGraham

Robert, Lefteris, Ryan et al:Thank-you for your responses. I am the most gratified with Robert's-"At any rate- the MD-11 is coming- and we continue to work heartily in that direction- while continuing to update this product on an as needed, as-can basis. You really can't ask for much more than that!"While the MD-11 is no doubt exciting, my heart still belongs to your fat girl ;). The fact that in prior posts, and in this one Robert does allow for a possible revisit is a source of much satisfaction- for me personally. After further flight testing, the only glaring issue I find myself faced with on every flight is the run-down of the EGT. I cannot for the life of me figure out how the changes effected this- but nontheless, please visit that when you have time. As Lefteris correctedly pointed out- the aircraft works- just not as initially advertised. The fact that key stroke fuel loading, wing felxing and other sundries don't work pale in comparison to the other improvements. That said, I remain a customer slightly disappointed with THIS particular version release, but STILL very much enchanted with your company's product. I wish you all the very best; and am hoping for a fun, productive and profitable FANCON. You still are the guys that created my escape, "far from the madding crowd" and for that I am most grateful. Guys-I just followed Al Jordan's step by step instructions (thanks Al- as always :)), uninstalled and reinstalled- so far so good. THANK-YOU FOR SPLITTING THE INSTALLER- BRAVO! This way, those that just want to buy it for the FS9 update can install only that. PERFECT!I would also like to ask that you figure out some way to offer this to all those who bought a CD version of your product. I am not affected, but my mate Steve Bell- who is a tireless help in this forum, writes procedures specifically for your platform, and is a avid and expert enthusiast; and countless others like him, ARE NOT ABLE TO GET THE DISCOUNT simply because they chose (or had to because of no internet availability) to buy a boxed version of your product. Perhaps there is something on the printing you could use to verify they are legitimate owners. I appreciate the need to ensure eligibility, but hope you can appreciate the ill will this sort of thing has the potential to create.I would also urge that your announcement thread reflect more accurate FS9 changes so that there is not further opportunity for misunderstanding. Thanks again guys, and please know that when we disagree, we disagree with your message or decision, not you or your company. When all is said and done, I am grateful for your contributions to my life.Best-Carl F. Avari-Cooper BAW0225http://online.vatsimindicators.net/980091/523.png

Dear Jason,Excuse me...I may have missed something...are you trying to be funny? You might be interested to know that I have dual UK/Australian Nationality & that my entire immediate family (mother, father & sister) are all Australian Citizens & actually live in Australia. So much for being a 'whinging POM'.If this is a friendly jibe then fair dinkum mate...if this is not so then I suggest you read/re-read the forum rules. We are all on the same side here.Kind RegardsSteve Bell

I am with Steve here. Have you bought this product and is it working perfectly for you? If it is congratulations for being so lucky as a new user. Carl was simply trying to get some satisfaction for all of we FS9 users who do not wish to upgrade to FSX and who are not happy with the FS9 update as well as the company attitude towards fixing what is clearly a problem with it or at least the advertising for it.It seems he has had a win of sorts. I think that we owe him a vote of thanks. It doesn't fix everything but at least he is in there and battling on our behalf.GerryPS - I am an Aussie as well

Gerry,Thanks for your support, primarily for Carl but also for the minor & unconnected issue I have addressed concerning Jason.Jason,You silence on this matter is deafening...although as you appear to live in Australia you may well be asleep.May I draw your attention to Item #4 of the New PMDG Forum Guidelines dated 20 May 07, it would appear that you have only recently started posting on this forum, may I once again politely suggest you read them.Kind regardsSteve Bell

Dear Jason,It would appear you are new here, and entitled therefore to the occasional faux pas. Welcome, we all hope your time here is constructive and cooperative!Perhaps we can chat about your thoughts on engine de-rates and the resulting changes in performance minima, equipment life and CRM; or the long term effects of a de-powered ground handling bus on the parking brake accumulator; or maybe even your preferred method of managing your descent profile flying a STAR with significant airspeed constraints........should any of these topics interest you.If not, again, welcome and as suggested, do brush up on your forum etiquette!Best-Carl F. Could someone please send me a PM letting me know what Jason wrote meant. I read it and only saw a few words, but the replies say something different.I'm not Australian, but I do love visiting Sydney...great country and people!Mike
