January 23, 200521 yr First, I'll do some patterns at Faro (Portugal).I'll test the MCP, see how it handles, see how the engines work and all. Why Faro ? Because it's position is perfect to test flight aircrafts : parallel to the coast, one runway with ILS, useful VOR's around so that I can see how the VOR mode handles, and all...Then, once I'm used to using (lol) the MCP, I'll depart from Faro to Lisbon. Why Lisbon ? Because I need a big runway to the next flight and Faro's runway is of about 2500 meters, which is, for a first flight, not sufficient.Once at Lisbon, I'll program the FMC for the first time, so it'll take me about 30 minutes to do that, If everything goes right of course. Then I'll depart from Lisbon to Salvador (Brazil). Salvador is an international airport, well equipped ( 2 rwys, one of them 11000ft, with ILS), and it has the chance of not having too much traffic around it...Then I'll go for the challenge. New York JFK to Paris CDG (my home base) with full traffic, real world updated weather and a nearly-full aircraft. God, I'm dreaming of this aircraft.
January 23, 200521 yr Really depends on what Liveries are deliver and available at release. As soon as I can get an American Airlines or UPS livery, will fly my regular flight assignment. Probably a nice long haul, like AA 68 KDFW-LSZH or UPS 6741 KSDF-EGNX.Steve ParkKSDFAAL935UPS415LWA39
January 23, 200521 yr Either SVMI-KJFK or TJSJ-KJFK with AAL, or if not, I'll just have to wait before I fly to paint one up. :-lol Because I don't really intend to fly any other airline with it. January 24, 200521 yr Well the first flight will be EGLL-ESSA with BAV, just to check her out... Then, having seen the (not very great!) movie "Freefall" recently it'd be really nice to recreate Canada World Airways Flight 174 Montreal-Edmonton... To see if I can get her down properly!rgrds fredrik
January 24, 200521 yr OH of course, Delta on Atlanta-Miami-Atlanta, hence I did those flights on Thanksgiving. After that since I live in Miami Ill fly American 767-323ER from Miami to Manchester,England. :)
January 24, 200521 yr like mentioned above i will do the same thing i will decide where i want to conduct my training i will probably go to andrew's air force base until i will master the systems of this aircraft because i haven't flown the 767 since i changed to FS2004 plus flying the first version is probably not like flying the second, and after i finish i will fly my aircraft around the globe a little bit; i will try to do a flight to my home city casablanca and i will fly around europe for a little bit, and after i will pick up my flying schedule with Delta Air Lines. January 24, 200521 yr I'll fly some around KPAE until I get her all checked out. Then I'll take the RG livery home, KPAE-SBEG-SBGR.Should be fun...looking forward to it with great anticipation.Jay
January 24, 200521 yr Looks like KPAE and KBFI are going to be very busy as we all have our checkrides. This could be novel, aside from the first familiarisation flight is anyone going to do there checkrides online?Chris Regards, Chris Willis, CVHK Line Pilot http://hk.vatsea.net/cpa/
January 24, 200521 yr Forget the "checkrides"... I'll go on a common route right away!Boston - London-OR-Philadelphia - FrankfortConsidering it's probably going to be my airplane of choice for transatlantic flights, I'll just jump right in!-Greg
January 25, 200521 yr Probably a shorty KLAX to KSFO then on to PHNL. What would be great, after we all get checked out and are comfortable with the a/c, is for Mike Bev to recreate that great group flight from Wellington to KSFO.Whatd'ya say Mike?
